Boston United News

Boston have an accepted signing for Artur Marciniak of GKS Belchatow. However, he will now probably not be able to join, the club's accepted signing came minutes before the club's balance plunged down to a measly 413k, with the accepted bid consisting of 450k + Garry Monk + Stuart Talbot. Even if this deal does surprisingly go through, Boston will have a small squad with ' DEBT ' written all over them.

This morning, after George found the club had gone further into debt overnight, he moved quickly to release Marc Goodfellow on a free transfer.

Now, in more misery for Boston, the club have placed star players Sergio Bernal ( 85 goalkeeper ) and Eusebio Di Francesco ( 84 midfielder ) on the transfer list in desperation.

Bernal can be bought for 100k and Di Francesco for 90k, with the club probably allowing just under that as well. Some fans have even gone as far as sending letters to other clubs asking them to buy the players.

Fans are getting more worried by the day over the state of the club which looked like it was in a stable condition yesterday. The fans also feel that George is likely to walk away from the club soon although he says he is comitted to sorting out the club's debt and other problems.

Your Boston United needs you! ;):D

Charlton have announced the signings of David Luiz and Neri Cardozo.

After battling in the relegation dog fight last year Addicks boss has announced his aims for next season. " our form towards the end of last year was top 8 form. However im a realist and realise that our squad isnt as strong as our rivals, the manager previously in charge, who ever he was. had destroyed Charlton. Im slowly building them up again. I think the addition of our two new players cardozo more so will solidify our premiership status. Im aiming for a top 14 finish this year."

Welcome to the setup Bryan, great to see another forumer join division 4 :)

As you may know already I am Boston, but not due to play you until July 4th.

Boston News:

Boston face a tough home game against Colchester United in the first game of the season tonight.

It is true to say that the successful team of last year has been severley weakened, with the sale of star goalkeeper Sergio Bernal to Nottingham Forest for 100k, and Marc Goodfellow released on a free transfer.

Artur Marciniak is the only new face brought in, for 450k + Garry Monk and Stuart Talbot.

However, after the news that the club were out of debt came in, disaster struck and they were back into the minuses. With them now 67k in debt, the club are preparing for another struggling season money and squad wise.

The squad is down to the bare minimum of 18 players leaving the fans and manager worried about injuries and suspensions.

Tune in next time for the life of Boston United, the Leeds United of Soccer Manager!

Swindon Town 1-2 Cheltenham Town

Tonight was a bad start for Swindon's new manager Bryan Adamson as his side went down 2-1 to Cheltenham Town tonight. Swindon were shot of numbers at the back so Bryan Adamson decided to go with the 3-5-2 formation. There was no goals in the first half but Cheltenham hit the post and a good save from Daid James kept it nil-nil at half time. Cheltenham, who played players such as David James and Sylvain Wiltord were just too much for Swindon who went one down when Nick Barmby finished from only a yard out. Cheltenham doubled their advantage when Mads Timm left the Swindon Town defence in his wake and chipped the Swindon keeper Ed De Goey. The home side got back some pride back in the 87th minute when Spencer Prior scored from just outside the box with a fantastic right footed shot.

Swindon are now 17th in the league after the first day and, after only one game, fans are already looking for a slight improvement in the teams performance.

Boston United 2 - 1 Colchester United

Boston started the season like they finished last, with a win.

Colchester had a good side and took the lead on 51mins through Steven Jennings when his chip was fumbled by the keeper and rolled over the line.

Julian Joachim soon equalised ( 55mins ) when he turned quickly and fired under the keeper.

And with 5mins to go, Joachim sent the Boston fans wild when he used his pace and power to force himself into the box and lash home for Boston's winner.

So, a first day win for Boston but they are 8th in div4 so far.

But exactly the same happened in the second half, Swindon scored 2 goals from Karel Kroupa and Jamie Cureton then Colchester scored a goal from Guylain N'Dumbu Nsungu.

Swindon are now up to tenth in the league.

Walsall 3-3 Chesterfield

An enthralling match that swung this way then that! Paul Hall opened the scoring after only two minutes, but Fryatt equalised a minute later. Kenny Lunt gave Walsall the lead in the 25th Minute, but Hall got his second 9 minutes later. Alex Meyong gave Chesterfield the lead again in the 54th minute, but then Jorge Leitao gave Walsall a deserved share of the spoils in the 67th minute.

Walsall 2-0 Leyton Orient

A goal in each half gained Walsall their first win of the season. Jorge Leitao in the 21st Minute and Darryl Taylor in the 56th gave Walsall 3 points in front of 5,500.

Walsall are 8th.

Swindon Town 1-1 Hartlepool United

One win from four games has left Swindon Town fans asking some questions about the current manager, as they expected more from him and a better start to the season.

Hartlepool went 1-0 up in the 18th minute of the game when Hugh Robertson struck his shot early which left the Swindon keeper stranded. The home side drew level in the 33rd minute when Gareth Whalley capitalised on a mistake from the Hartlepool defenders and finished with ease.

Swindon are now 13th position in division 4 with only 4 points from 4 games.

Transfer of the season to help plymouth on 2nd Division debut?

After two well played season at Plymouth Argyles, mexican forward Javier Campora, higly rated by coach Yuri was involved on a dream move to Stoke City, wich will help both parts.

Javier said he was extremyl happy at plymouth, but the oofer would mean a substancial raise on his payment, and Plymouth would receive an equal talente dplayer in exchange.

This player's name? The Argentinian international, 27 years old striker, mr. Diego Milito!!

He will be Plymouth's key striker, along Nicolas Frutos, after we received an offer of 800k + him for Campora.

Bradders poached by Cheltenham!

In a shock move, Lee Bradbury has left Gillingham very early and joined Cheltenham Town. Bradbury has hinted that a fall-out with the Gill's board led to his departure.

Bradbury told Pie Sports News 'I've left Gillingham because although the fans and the players were great, and really supportive, me and the board didn't see eye-to-eye. Fortunately, Cheltenham were straight in with a great offer, so I couldn't refuse. The board are great, and we have money to spend.'
