After having a terrbile start into the season:

Porto 2:4 Liverpool

Milan 2:1 Porto

Werder Bremen 2:0 Porto

Porto 0:1 Sevilla

Zaragoza 2:2 Porto

Porto 0:1 Barcelona

Only 4 points out of the first six games and a loss in the 2nd round of the cup vs. Milan, Blanck somehow managed to finally get control of the team and started a series:

Porto 1:1 Atletico Madrid

VfB Stuttgart 1:1 Porto

Porto 3:0 Tottenham

Liverpool 0:2 Porto

Porto 3:0 Milan

Porto 2:0 Bremen

14 points out of the last 6 games made Blancks team move to the 2nd position in the table. 6 games undefeated, the last 4 of them without conceding a goal.

Blanck set the season goal to be a Top 4 finish. Though after the first 6 games, noone believed that Blanck would be the right person to achieve this goal, but seeing the last 6 games, Blanck got on track to achieve it.

Eight goal thriller at the Olimpico

as_roma_logo.gif

The last meeting between Arsenal and Roma ended in a thrashing when Arsenal convincingly won it 4-1. Sheva was determined that this wont happen again. The second meeting between these two sides didnt fail to impress as it produced a whoping 8 goals.

Things started well for the home team as Totti used his skill to dart past defenders before driving his shot past the keeper after just 9 minutes. 10 minutes later Simone Perrotta ran onto a lovely through ball by Daniele De Rossi and thumped the ball into the top corner to make it 2-0. Six minutes later, Mancini increased their lead when he converted a Rodrigo Taddei cross with a well placed header. Aleksandr Hleb pulled one back just before half-time as the gunners fan saw a glimmer of hope.

The second half started well for the Gunners as they looked for a way back into the game. Adebayor headered a Hleb cross to reduce to deficit to a single goal. Totti got his second minutes later to restore Roma's 2 goal lead. Niklas Bendtner's miss hit somehow ended at the back of the net which left some Roma fans biting their fingernails with just 16 minutes to go. Francesco Totti wrapped up the game four minutes from time, to the relief of the manager and fans. Totti completed his brilliant hattrick with a neatly finished goal. MoM: Francesco Totti

ATLETICO MADRID NEWS!

- Atletico Madrid move back up to fourth place.

- Atletico get first win after 6 games

-Chairman skeptical over Austins stay.

-Match report

-Aguero and Forlan are for sale.

Ateltcio Madrid have stormed back into 4th place with a win over Georges Barcelona.

Austin was said to be very pleased with the win, and promised that he would give the team a form of title challenge in the remaining 6 games.

Austin got his first win after 6 games after losing 3 and drawing 3 out of those.

Having said this, Austin was asked how he managed to get the win after such a drought, and he repiled

Well, its a good team, but unfortunately we have been teribly injury bound and prone.Since we defeated Barca 1 - 0 in the Nou Camp, we have not been the same.We have never been able to field a consistent starting 11 without having 2 vital players missing. It ha been terrible, but we will bounce back.

I hear some people saying that we may be considering a relegation dog fight, but that is utter rubbish.

We will continue to push the best, after all, we are in a very tough league.

I continue to applaud the actions of the Porto manager, who has done very well in a short space of time, and we will surpass him

Now, how about the views on the guys above you?

well leys have a look at the guys over 4th place, and give an account on how you think the season will go from here.

Barcelona-There was always something about Barcelona, before the league started, they were awarded the title!

All they needed was a good manager, and they got one.The title should be theirs.

Porto- Rubbish team, good manager. They have had a good run of form lately, if you look at things. They have done well, bought well, and got their tactics right.Fortunately, 1 point seperates me and him, but I believe it will all be settled when he comes to play in the Vicente Calderon.

Liverpool- All you say when you look at them is Whoa! They are a great team in charge of gret players. They have a good manager.

I really cannot say what happened to them, but however, they should continue to play ball. They have reached a bad run now, and I think this is as far as they go.

Yes, I know you are wondering over my future Mr reporter, but I am pleased to report that the Chairman has given me a lovely oportunity.

You see, we still have to take on Barcelona, Livepool, and Porto, but the chairman has told me that if we can get a minimum of 5 points, he will extend my stay, and that if I get 7 to 6 points, I will be rewarded with a new contract and better cash in which to operate with.

Atletcio Madrid vs Zaragoa 2 - 1

Ateltco Madrid hosted fellow strugglers Real Zaragoza, and were looking for a win.

They went intp this match on a low level of confidence, after a bad run of form.

They were expected to continue this kind of form when rafael sobis fired into the net in the 13th minute to give Real the lead.

Austin's side showed rare ressilience, and started to fight back, but a goal did not come in the girst half.

Austin was devastated, and gave a strong team talk to his tem at half time.

They came back strong and ready for action, and finnaly got a goal when Rodriguez headed into the net in the 69th minute.

Maxi-Rodrigues.jpg

Then, they went crazy when Aguero struck the winner in the 81st minute!

Division 2 heads for a thrilling finish

With 4 points seperating seven teams, its anyones guess on who are to be crowned champions and gain promotion. Juventus beat, the once high flying, Manchester United to demote them to last place. Roma emerged victorious over a weakened Bayern side to keep their hopes of winning the title very much alive. Sparky's Real Madrid held Arsenal back and Rishabh Desai's Lyon enjoyed their second win in a row after beating Valencia by a two goal margin. With these results, Liam's Chelsea had the chance to break free with a 3 point lead at the top but they had to see off Internazionale and unfortuantely for them, they dropped 2 points at home courtesy of a late goal from Zlatan Ibrahimovich. This meant Chelsea only had a 1 point lead at the top while Arsenal and Roma are level on points at second and third respectively.

The three crucial fixtures will be; Arsenal vs Juventus, Chelsea vs Real Madrid and Roma vs Internazionale. If Juventus are to win their encounter with Arsenal and Roma and Chelsea lose their games, Ahmed's Juventus will be crowned surprised champions. If Liam's Chelsea are to win their encounter with Real Madrid, the trophy is theirs. With Real Madrid's negative goal difference, chances of winning the title are slim but getting a promotion spot is possible. The title is between Chelsea, Arsenal, Roma and Juventus. Who will get their hands on it? One of the English giants or an Italian giant?

Aquilani's efforts go in vain as Chelsea crowned champions

Alberto Aquilani's strike in the second half against Internazionale was the winner and with Arsenal losing their game, it was up to Liam's Chelsea to win against Real Madrid. Any dropped points would mean the Title was Roma's but Chelsea managed to beat Real Madrid convincingly to be crowned worthy champions. Juventus edged the last promotion spot as they rounded of a successful campaign under the management of Ahmed.

Congratulations to Liam, who isnt the manager anymore:p

JUVENTUS HEAD TOWARDS DIVISION 1 !!!

Coach Ahmed steered the club to the elite's division after an impressive season finishing in third position behind Chelsea and Roma.

It wasn't the best of performances, but one to note for if the squad's quality is taken into consideration.

Juventus had to beat two English giants-Manchester United and Arsenal in their last games to ensure qualification.

Iaquinta and Nedved made the scores 2-0 by the 30minute, setting a tone for the game.

Niklas Bendtner pulled one back to give the home side a scare before Iaquinta secured the game in the dying minutes with a crisp shot.

Celebrations begin right after the game...
