Re: English Championship 1

There are signs of life in the old corpse yet.

I believe we have four candidates for the competition, one of whom has posted a well-formed team. I won't be participating on account of having only 3 yoofs. I believe we should be able to get eight participants but I could be wrong, so with that in mind, I suggest that we plan for a simple knockout with semi-finals an a final.

Would participants be happy to run the tournament in the main forum? As I remember, we created the YC forum to avoid clogging up the main forum. I'm not so sure that's a problem anymore.

Mesut Özil Close To Carlisle Return

Mesut-zil-mesut-ozil-28992821-608-325.jpg

The Germany international who spent season 16 at Brunton Park before moving to current employers Reading is said to be on the verge of making a move back to The Blues with just personal terms to be agreed after the two clubs involved agreed a fee. The fee itself will see fan favorites Lucas & Oscar move in the opposite direction.

The deal may come as a surprise to many Carlisle supporters but club coach Friel has stated the deal will be done as a statement of their intent at having a go for the title next season. The club have bolstered the squad over this season bringing in players such as Cech, Alaba, Pepe, Wiel, Felliani & Willian and the arrival of Ozil opened the door for the duo to leave as there was to much competition for their preferred position.

Re: English Championship 1

Lads I double checked it's reality Bradford are top of the league who would've thought. :P

Not even sure how we can go from relegation candidates year in year out, to sitting top with over half the season gone. I guess the only way from here is down though, I'm due a huge slump in form! Somehow doing well in the cups too.

Gilardino doubled his goal tally in the league for a season in that one game :o. Also we've scored 11 in the last two games to double our GD!

It's impossible to sign a striker in this setup gone are the days of Falcao & Dzeko

I'd even take Wellbeck or Pato.:D

oh ********!!! I offered you Eto'o and you basically told me he was sheeeet! :P

A win over Teb sees Herby move up the table into 2nd on GD.

Last years champions, Shel's Man Utd, look like they will be hard to displace nearing the final weeks of the season.

Saturday's game between 1st and 2nd should be a CRACKER!!!!

I never told you that I just wasn't prepared to pay that for a 32 year old even though i did offer you the same deal i did as i did for pepe but you thought i didnt.

Thats 9 draws so far this season only losing 6 the same as top of the league yet im way down in 11th because we aren't scoring enough goals desperately need a striker. Got two on negotiation one I don't like but is 90 rated and the other who i like is 88 should get 89 hopefully but yet to come to a agreement.

Re: English Championship 1

Hiya Germ. I get silly offers also. I have several players who should land at the 90 mark by December.

I get offers for these players were they think that offering 86-87 rated players 29 years old or more is a resonable offer.

Sometimes I think there is a sign saying;

"Welcome to Bolton wanderers...dump your over-the-hill **** here and take away a shiney new highly rated prospects!"

:D:p

Well I can't blame him. He obviously thinks it's too soon for a return to Madejski Stadium. Good news is Ronaldo has served his suspension and should be available for Wednesday's match. :)
