leigh1 15
Re: Gold Championship 14 (News, Gossip, Match Report, Etc) Thread Rossoneri Appoint Auston! Carlo Ancelotti was this week replaced by Leigh Auston as manager of fallen Italian giants AC Milan. Auston stated that he was please to arrive at the club and the key factor behind him taking over was to be able to have a free reign in the transfer market. Auston was given £40 million to rebuild an aging Milan and told that he was allowed to do with the squad as he pleased. Auston decided that the best way forward was to completely replace the whole squad with the exception of Alexandre Pato who he sees as the future shining light of the club! Auston didn't hang about either selling the clubs biggest stars within hours of taking over. Kaka, Rino Gattuso, Andrea Pirlo and Dida were all sold on Day 1 and Clarence Seedorf and Alessandro Nesta soon followed them out of the door. Others to leave include Kakha Kaladze, Alberto Gilardino, Emerson, Christian Brocchi, Dario Simic, Marek Jankulovski, Valerio Fiori, Ibrahim Ba, Digao, Daniele Bonera, cafu and Guiseppe Favalli. All these departues has sent shockwaves throughout world football and the Milan board were left wondering what was going on. Thankfully for Milan fans their new manager has been just as bust bringing people in as he has been selling them off. Let me introduce you to the new AC Milan squad...... AC Milan's new no.1 is the flambuoyant Cameroon stopper who signed from Espanyol. Cristian Zapata also arrived from Udinese and is a hot young prospect. He will provide cover at CB initially. Martin Demichelis was a huge signing from Bayern Munich. One of 3 players given in exchange for Kaka. He will start at CB for Milan. Philippe Mexes arrives from Roma to partner Demichelis. Mexes came as part of the deal for Nesta. Alberto Riera was another to arrive in the Gattuso deal and the Spanish international will play a key role for Milan throughout the season. Turk sensation Altintop Hamit was another to arrive from Bayern as part of the Kaka deal. He will be looking to impress his new fans. Milan's new captain Daniele De Rossi arrives for a substantial fee. He will be the spearhead of the Milan midfield and hope to lead by example. Alberto Aquilani was another to arrive from Roma. He came as part of the deal that saw Nesta join Roma and provides Auston with midfield options. Probably the exciting of all Auston's signings this week. Franck Ribery comes to Milan from Bayern and was the key to the Kaka deal. Carlos Tevez also joins Milan from Man Utd as part of the Pirlo sale. He will lead the line for Milan. Another to swap Espanyol for Milan is Fernandez Luis Garcia. He is expected to play regularly and hopes he can forge a telling partnership with Carlos Tevez. Auston is said to be delighted with the way his team is shaping up and has stated that he has not finished in the market yet. He still has Oddo, Ronaldo and Serginho than could leave and Ambrosini looks to be safe for now but offers would be considered. AC Milan start off their league campaign with a tricky game away to Napoli. The Rossoneri travel to the Stadio San Paolo to play a very strong Azzurri team. Milan will go in confident as ever with a very much changed starting XI. They will line up as follows.... Kameni Oddo Mexes Demechelis Maldini Hamit De Rossi © Ambrosini Ribery Ronaldo Tevez Milan manager Leigh Auston would like to wish all the managers in GC14 the best of luck for the season. Nick Gilardino 78
Re: Gold Championship 14 (News, Gossip, Match Report, Etc) Thread AS Roma Get Off To Winning Ways!!! Roma today have beaten Fiorentina 3 goals to 2 which has sent the morale in the camp high and they are now confident for there next match which is a tricky one against Livorno. The scorers for Roma where Seedorf on 27 mins grabs the goal on his debut, then Mancini on 53 mins who also as well has his goals gets man of the match, then the final goal was scored by another debuant Diego Milito on 55 mins. Nick Gilardino says that this is a great confidence boost i knew that if we won this we could go on to big things and this gives a real vibe around the capital. It was also one of the hardest games we would play obviously we will have to play the other big 3 but we shall wory about that when it comes. The victory has put Roma in 4th place obviously on goal diffrence. The league is an important thing for Roma and Nick is trying to concentrate on the Champions League and the Serie A. For all the Cup and Shield matches the reserves will be played Nick has said. Both debuants both get on the scoresheet

Magic J 10,640
Re: Gold Championship 14 (News, Gossip, Match Report, Etc) Thread Pride of Scotland ! Rangers start in emphatic fashion ! Glasgow Rangers 7 - 1 Dundee United Johnson opened his account with a great win over United. Many Rangers fans have been skeptic about the clear lack of transfers that have occured in Johnsons pre season. Only Riquelme was brought in, and even though he is a world class player, he doesnt make a squad. those doubts were blown away today in what was a sensational performance from the Blue side of Scotland. It didnt take long for Rangers to take the lead, Boyd showing some lightning pace and then a neat finish from 15 yards got the opener. The hitman dedicated his opener to Johnson. Johnson is hoping Boyd will be Rangers Talisman this season On loan debutant Ledesma from Milan grabbed the second with an astonishing goal, a goal so astonishing the pundits were lost for words. The flood gates opened and Boyd got his second in the 21st minute after unleashing one home. Riquelme got his debut goal, that everyone wanted a mere minute later. The Argentine ace scored with style as he lobbed the keeper. Towards the end of the first half Cousin made it 5-0 with an empathic volley which left the keeper motionless. Johnsons team continued to play with skill, flare, power and aggression, all of which was typified by Ferguson shot that rifled into the roof of the net. It got worse before it got better for Dundee as Camara was sent off for a petulant kick. Diane did grab a consolation goal for the visitors but they didnt have the last laugh. David Weir poked one home to make it 7-1 and send the home crowd into raptures. Scottish idol Barry Ferguson will be leaving Ibrox, to who is yet to be determined ! The talented CM is soon to be transfer listed. Johnson would want a 89 replacement and either a 88/89 CB or W/RM or a F.

I am pleased with the result but i would have liked to win by a bigger margin.I am not happy that we lose Stephan McManus for 3 games as he got sent off for a bad tackle,we will go into our next match against Rangers confident.
