Thanks Daniel' date=' that would be good. Now for the teams - again this is provisional. I've tried to be as fair as I can. As I've said, this may be altered so let's have your suggestions

Smartdoc 5,262
Re: Grudge match set-up...grrrrr I think the team you get should be decided within your own team. I'm proposing choosing a captain for each team and they decide whether you do a draw or just decide between yourselves. Let's hold off putting our preferences for now until the 6 teams get suitably filled I'm not sure about how many divisions yet. It will either be 4 divs of 12 or 3 divs of 16 teams. Better teams will start in the lower leagues so weaker teams have a chance of catching up. Also remember, when it comes to decision of manager of the season and awarding of prizes etc., the smaller teams that have done well will probably be given extra credit so don't despair if you get a so-called smaller team EDIT: the captain will be chosen within your own team, I don't want anything to do with it. Further rules to be posted soon!

Smartdoc 5,262
Re: Grudge match set-up...grrrrr Like I said I don't want anyhting to do with choosing of captains - however, captains will have a few responsibilities (not to many) which I am going to highlight below: Now to the points scoring system: I want to keep it relatively easy League points Win - 3pts Draw - 1pt Win by 5 goals or more - 1 bonus point Lose by 5 goals or more - minus 2 pts (to prevent any inter-team cheating ) - this will not be the case if the team is unmanaged 1st in league - 16pts 2nd in league - 12pts 3rd in league - 8pts Cup/shield points Q/F - 1pt S/F - 2pts Losing finalist - 4pts Winner - 8pts Star Player Goals - 1pt (if striker/midfielder) Clean sheets - 1pt (if goalkeeper/defender) Has to be nominated before 1st game and cannot be changed till next season even if sold (think carefully) Joker Each of the 6 teams has a joker which can be played for 1 turn in the season. This will double any points the team receives that week (positive/negative) Other rules ??????? - open to suggestions but should not be too complicated Captains responsibilities - Ensure all teams are managed within his team - Report all bonus points gained by the team (star player bonuses) within reasonable time for any turn's set of fixtures (not sure if this will be on thread or by PM) - Ensure fair play and help keep harmony (keep his/her teams mouths shut ) - Decide when to play Joker Any other suggestions. Oh and BTW if more than one person in a team wants to be captain you may have to hold a vote between yourselves (poll)

Smartdoc 5,262
Re: Grudge match set-up...grrrrr That all sounds good but what do you mean by the joker thing? I'm talking in terms of team points as opposed to individual e.g If Team 3 got 4 wins and 1 draw and 3 star players scored they woukd have got 4 wins = 12pts 1 draw = 1pt 3 star players scored = 3pts _______________________ Total = 16pts for that week But if they had played their joker that week they will be awarded 32pts for the team competition. The joker will be important for the overall team competition - play it at the right time and your team will benefit greatly

I would suggest Winners: 50 Points Runners-Up: 30 Points 3rd Place: 20 Points Also, more points for winning the cup.. Winners: 30 Points Runners-Up: 20 Points Semi-Finalists: 10 Points Quarter-Finalists: 5 Points

Forgot about that - thanks Tom - will just update that now I don't want to give too many points to the cup competitons as to be fair the league should have a larger bearing (could win the cup with 4 draws and wins on penalties). Also if yo win the league you will already have got many points for the team so don't want to award too many points for this either - I want to keep the contest close - I'll just do something now (Thanks )
