Possbile German Talents

I have been watching a lot of U19 football lately (thanks to Premiere) and i saw a few players that showed some skill in their games. INow that i checked their stats on the Net, i believe they could become true talents.

01

Name: Richard Sukuta-Pasu

Age: 17

Team: U19 Bayer Leverkusen

Position: CF

Very Pacey and strong. Not much of a technical guy, but he for sure knows where the goal is. Having taken part in 18 matches (1518 mins), he managed to score 17 goals and assisted 4. Already signed a contract for Leverkusen II and might even play for the first team, if they get an injury crisis.

02

Name: Felix Schiller

Age: 18

Team: U19 Werder Bremen

Position: CB/LB

He's more a passive sort of player, you don't get to see much of him, but most times u see a defender is when he gets overtaken by a striker, so it's a positive aspect. His playing style reminds of Jürgen Kohler, watching him closing down the opp or taking the ball off an opp without much effort could be a sign of pure quality. 18 apps (1534 mins) so far and he also showed to be a threat when it comes to corners, he headed in 4 of them.

03

Name: Kevin Kahlert

Age: 18

Team: U19 Wolfsburg

Position: CM/AM

He could turn out to become a real playmaker, not much technique here, but he's got the right timing for deadly passes, 15 assists  and is also a specialist for set pieces, scoring 3 direct free kicks so far. 19 apps (1592 mins). Could become the next Thomas Häßler, if he gets a chance at a bigger stage.

04

Name: Taner Yalcin

Age: 18

Team: U19 FC Köln & FC Köln II

Position: AM/CM

Probably the best find here. He looks to be the most gifted player to come through the Köln youth since Podolski. He plays a sort of Playmaker position, but unfortunately drops back too often, to collect balls. Very Pacey, very good technique and knows how to score. 17 apps (1354 mins) for the U19 team, scoring an amazing 14 goals and assisting another 11. He got moved to Köln II and already made 3 app (191) scoring 2 goals already. If Köln do not manage to get promoted, he will most likely get a chnace to move to the first team next season.

05

Name: Mahmut Temur

Age: 18

Team: U19 FC Köln & FC Köln II

Position: CM

He's the man behind Yalcin, very strong in one-on-one situations and also a lethal finisher (I wonder why Köln U19 even need Strikers). Very similar style of play as Yalcin. 19 apps (1632 mins), 14 goals (9 assisted by Yalcin), 8 assists (6 assists became goals by Yalcin). He also got moved to Köln II together with Yalcin, but he didn#t get much playing time yet, 2 apps (62 mins). Same as for Yalcin, if Köln don't get promoted, he might join the first team aswell.

06

Name: Pascal Testroet

Age: 17

Team: U19 Schalke & Schalke II

Position: CF

Has the Potential to become the next Ebbe Sand. In only 16 app (1251 mins) he managed to net the ball 14 times, which got him a ticket to join Schalke II. In his first app for Schalke II he got subbed-in in the 88th minute and scored a goal with his first shot on goal (vs Bochum II). Unfortunately he got injured in the 90th minute and only just started training again 2 days ago. Moderately fast, nothing really special about him, just the fact that he always seems to be in the correct position when it comes to scoring a goal.

Re: Possbile German Talents

07

Name: Nico Schlieter

Age: 18

Club: U19 SC Freiburg

Position: CB/RB

Tall and Strong CB, but also has pace (much like Marcel Jansen). He has featured in all 21 games so far (1912 mins) and all of them Full-Time. Freiburg U19 are 2nd in the table behind Stuttgart and they have the 2nd best defensive record (conceding 22 goals in 21 matches).

Schlieter is also the best tackler of the league, winning an amazing 81% of his tackles. He also knows how to complete a cross, when being played as RB, 31% completed crosses.

He will most definately find himself in Freiburg II, if not even in Freiburg First Team next season.

I'll updfate this post every time i find a player who would be worth mentioning

Re: Possbile German Talents

08

Name: Rahman Soyudogru

Age: 19

Club: U19 SC Freiburg

Position: CF

Medium sized, but very fast with a high technical skills. Started the Season off well with 9 goals in the first six matches, but then dropped into a hole.

Though at the end of the season he managed to get back to his normal level and managed to score another 10 goals within the last 8 matches. He played 1994 mins and scored a total of 19 goals, which makes an average of 105 mins per goal. He also assisted another 8 goals, which helped Freiburg to end up in the second place

09

Name: Patrick Funk

Age: 18

Club: U19 VfB Stuttgart & Stuttgart II

Position: DM/CM

Seeing him on the Pitch is not much of a spectacle, but this is not expected from a DM is it? What amazes, is that as a DM he has won 79% of his tackles and only received 2 yellow cards in 16 games (1440 mins). He also managed to score 3 goals and assist another 3. After being injured he missed 7 matches, but after his comeback he got directly promoted to join Stuttgart II for the rest of the season. 4 apps (266 mins) and yet again he keeps his high tackle %, having won 81% of his tackles in the German Regional (3rd) Division.

This young guy made his debut for Köln today. Being substituted-in at the 70th minute.
