New Man At Dundee!!!

Scottish side Dundee have appointed Englishman Mitu Ahmed as their new manager. Sparky was given the task of a top table finish and has said that he will try his best to achieve the board's goals.

Sparky also revealed that he aims to turn Dundee into an All Scottish team due to the rules of playing 7 home grown players. The manager believes that if his team were to turn all Scottish then they would have no problems fielding the players they want.

The club have transfer listed all their Non Scottish players and have revealed interest in numerous players, three of which they have made bids for. If all is to go well then Dens Park tomorrow can see three major signings.

LINFIELD REVEAL NEW MAN AND 3 NEW SIGNINGS

Yesterday, Linfield revealed their new manager, after David Jeffery left the club by Mutal Consent. The new manager was Englishman Sam Warren. Sam Warren was revealed in a press conference yesterday, and he said he is delighted to be at such a wonderful club in Linfield.

He also wasn't slow in trying to revamp his squad, he signed 3 new players in the space of 3 hours. His 3 signings were Goalkeeper John Tuffey, Right Winger Barry McGuire and Left Winger Chris Brunt.

Brunt is the one which stands out of the three. The Northern Irish International has signed on a 3 year Basis and is now committed to the club. Their are also strong rumours that Fulham duo Chris Baird and David Healy are on their way to Winsdor Park, but we will have to wait and see. Sam Warren says he will only be looking to sign homegrown players, as he has shown with his signings.

New man at the helm as Cambridge Chairman plans for the future

This morning, the back pages of newspapers up and down the country were plastered with the news that Cambrigde United have announced that Felix Haigh, ranked the 66th best manager in the world (...of SM

 ), will be in control for the next few years. Signing after a successfull spell at Chelsea in WC254, the new boss had this to say: "I realise that this may come as a shock to some, but I felt like I needed a new challenge. At Cambridge I have the players and transfer funds that I believe will push this club to great things under my guidance."

Asked about who he would be looking to bring to the club, Haigh unveiled that he had made a big-money offer for Bacelona starlet Bojan Krkic, only for the player to refuse to play for United. "I understand completely why the player in question has done this. Of course, we would have loved for him to join us here at Cambridge, but this was not possible. It is my aim for the future that players such as these in years to come, will be revelling at the chance to come and play for this club."

2563211475.jpg

(Bojan Krkic: It was a tough decision, but the Spanish U-21 International decided to stay at the Camp Nou)

However, all hope was not lost, as Haigh was able to announce four singings other than Bojan, and also seemed hopeful for future additions to strengthen the squad. "We have aquired the services of several players already and we have deals verbally agreed with some others too. Daniel Sturridge will be joining us from Manchester, along with GK Tom Heaton. Also expect to see Victor Moses and Dutch midfielder Nacer Barazite wearing the famous orange and black of Cambridge when the season kicks off in June"

Haigh spends on as Chairman looks into Changing Room expansions..

Just two days into the transfer window and Cambridge manager Felix Haigh has already put the illusion of Bojan behind him with the addition of 15 new players to his squad. There is a clear message coming from the United camp as all 15 are extremely young and all have bright futures. "There is no doubt from me that it is in the kids that we need to invest. It is with them that the future of the game lies and to give them an opportunity to work under such a manger as myself at such an early stage in their careers can only be positive."

The full list of signings is:

GK Sascha Studer

DF Havard Nordtveit

DF Daniel Opare

MF Aaron Ramsey

DF Sean Morrison

F Shan Scannell

MF Nicola Rigoni

DF Ryan Crowther

DF Alexis Machuca

MF Osa Guobadia Ice Cream

DF Kyriakos Papadopoulos

F Safiou Saibou

F Tom Elliott

MF Rodríguez Ledesma Pedrito

F Filippo Mancini

(Opare: After his future was in doubt, he is happy to finally have things settled at Cambidge)

Dave_Jones_Aaron_Ramsey_772393.jpg

(Ramsey: The young Welshman could not believe his luck when Haigh came calling)

Despite these successfull purchases, Haigh was not completely satisfied as he revealed yet another play had turned him down, "We made a bid for West Brom striker Ishmael Miller, which the club agreed to, however the player feels that he would rather stay at his current club and give it a go in the Premier League after their recent promotion. Although this is disappointing, it does leave us with some spare money which we will be looking to spend on some more decent signings. Watch this space."

WARREN MAKES 4 NEW SIGNINGS

Sam Warren has been busy in his office this week, as he signs 4 new players for Linfield. Sam Warren promised that he would only buy homegrown players, and he's stuck by his statement.

Warren has signed Northern Ireland goal machine David Healy, Birmingham City Veteran Goalkeeper Maik Taylor, Cardiff City Right Back Tony Capaldi and Leicester City Centre Back, Gareth AcAuley.

Sam Warren believes that David Healy is the man to watch, and will be the man who will score the goals for Linfield this season. He also believes that McAuely will be a huge plus at the back, and he is a leader, and has made the Northern Ireland International club captian. He also said that Maik Taylor will bring experience and structure at the back, and that Capaldi brings pace down the left hand side. Sam warren refused to comment on rumoured signing Chris Baird, so is this deal really going to be happening?

Haigh makes it Five Dozen as expectations increase at Abbey Stadium

Cambridge was again the talk of the country this morning with yet more signings being announced. The South East team were delighted to welcome 8 more fresh faces to the squad after some hard work in the transfer market from new boss Felix Haigh. Haigh was unavailable for comments this morning, due to a sickness virus, however we were lucky enough to catch up with their latest signing, Dan Gosling: "I'm thrilled to be here, what more can I say. It was tough to leave Everton behind, but they had made it clear to me that if i wanted to move on and play more football then they wouldn't stop me. These are exciting times for Cambridge and I just can't wait to get out there on Sunday and play some football."

With the start to the new season so close now, it was clear that Haigh wanted to bring in some home grown talent to satisfy the new 7-man rule that is in place this season. In players such as Ben Tozer, Mark Randall and Dan Gosling, Cambridge have this added security along with good ability too. The other new players to join were Man. United reserve David Gray, West Ham youngster Jack Collison, Spanish starlet Daniel Parejo and Leigh Mills along with Sam Williams who also join from Premier League clubs.
