'Little Kaka' Has Man Utd Trial

Serbian wunderkind Adem Ljajić has reportedly been handed a chance to impress Manchester United on a trial basis...

»Comments (64) Print This Story Send To A Friend Contact Us Partizan Belgrade's 17-year-old attacking midfielder Ljajić - dubbed 'Little Kaka' - is regarded as one of the brightest young talents in Serbia.

The attacking midfielder, already tested at U21 level for Serbia, is the first Partizan player to wear the number 22 since Saša Ilić left in 2005.

The youngster has already been thrown in at the deep end by the Grobari, who pitched him into Champions League action during the qualifying rounds.

Partizan's youth factory is regarded by FIFA as the second most productive in Europe, behind that of Dutch side Ajax Amsterdam.

Now, the Red Devils are set to have a look for themselves to see if 'Little Kaka' has enough potential to become like 'Big Kaka'.

Re: Adem Ljajic - U17 Serbian Star.

Ok so after a two day trial at Manchester United and training with the reserves team.....Sir Alex was so impressed that he let him train with the first team! This includes Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Nemanja Vidic, among others!! They say only the biggest talents in the world can accomplish this feature. Manchester United offered Partizan 10 million euros for him!!!

They decilned saying he will be worth twice or maybe three times more in a few years!

Name: Adem Ljajic

Born: 22.9.1991

Team: FK Partizan(Serbia)

The serbian media have named him as the "Moniker" Which means "Little Kaka"Due to his similarities with the brazilian star.

Similar to Kaka Ljajic is a great technician and can play alsost every attacking position he is a very brave young player and has already rejected deals as ajax,Inter and a few more huge clubs as him and his father decided it would be better to try and build his reputation in his own country and repay the faith shown by partizan. he is currently on trial at manchester united his 1 month trial on the 15'th october 2008.

Ljajic was brought to partizan by one of the all time great serbian youth coaches, Dusan trbojevic shortly after that he displayed all his magic in the partizan youth team

With his great vision ,complete technique and strong character its only a matter of time before he makes amove to a big european club.

Madrid enter Ljajic chase

Serbian starlet attracts attention of Europe's finest

Last updated: 4th November 2008

Real Madrid are ready to renew old rivalries with Manchester United as they enter the race for Adem Ljajic, skysports.com understands.

The 17-year-old Partizan Belgrade midfielder, known as Little Kaka, impressed United's coaching staff last month after undergoing a trial at Old Trafford.

Ljajic has caught the eye of a number of clubs in recent months after shining for both his club domestically and for his country, in the recent European Under-19 Championship qualifying round.

United moved swiftly to make contact with the player, one of the most highly- rated young prospects in Europe, in offering him a trial in Manchester.

It is thought the Premier League champions are keen to secure Ljajic's services on a permanent basis, but could now face stiff competition from Real.

Relations between United and their Spanish counterparts are somewhat strained at present following the Cristiano Ronaldo saga over the summer and a recent exchange between Sir Alex Ferguson and Real president Ramon Calderon.

Re: Adem Ljajic - U17 Serbian Star.

I know everyone's been saying he needs a position change, but in the youth ranks, he played on the right all the time. In fact, the two (3 month old) youtube highlight videos, he plays exclusively on the right.

I'm thinking he's a natural AM/RM or RM/AM, like Maxi.

Re: Adem Ljajic - U17 Serbian Star.

I already wrote a longer post on this topic a few pages ago. He may have played RM in the youth team but now is definitely upfront, and usually substitutes Moreira who is AM. And you can even see him building up the attacks from the left side when Bogunovic (F in game but more of a F/LW irl) isn't playing or when Obradovic stays back to help the defence. My recommendation is AM/W.
