Another great win for Arsenl against underachiving Everton at the Emirates . Arsenal were 2-0 down within 64 minutes with goals from Hosny on 15 minutes and Waigo on 64 , Arsenal were looking in trouble when a very crazy ten minutes for Arsenal where they scored an incredible 3 goals to turn the game round , the first was Samir Nasri on 68 minutes when not known for his heading abilities headed past the keeper 2 minutes later Theo Walcott enjoying a run in the first team of late with injuries to Rosicky , Diaby , Fabregas , Clichy and Senderos scored after going on one of his trademark runs 2-2 Until Samir Nasri picked up his second and MOTM award to win the game for Arsenal

DERBY GO 2 POINTS CLEAR AT THE TOP

bristol_city.jpg 0-4 derby-county-badge.jpg

Derby County Manager Sam Warren saluted his players after an impressive 4-0 win away from home against relegation threatened Bristol City.

From the first whistle, Derby were on the attack. Michael Zandberg almost scored after the first minute. On form striker, Kanu, looked as sharp as ever, playing some absolutely breath taking football, was wasn't able to score.

Finally, after 34 minutes, Michael Zanberg headed home for the Rams, to put them one up. The Rams then took the game on.

Zandberg puts the Rams 1 Up.

Derby wern't finished in the second half. Kanu came close, along with Manfredini, who was back from injury, who put in a very solid proformance. At the break, the Rams were 1 up, thanks to Michael Zandberg.

Second Half, Bristol decided to make a fist of it, with Jamie McAlister leading the attack. Daniel Jensen also came close to scoring for Bristol, ater he watched his header skim the bar.

But then, against the run of play, Bristol conceded, which saw the man of form, Nwankwo Kanu, blast the ball into the back of the net, to put The Rams 2 ahead, and pretty much 3 points.

The Man On Form gets the Second.

Kanu scored one, but he hadn't finished there, straight after his goal, he smashed the post, and saw one of his shots stopped by a superb save.

The match was starting to get a bit out of hand. with 2 yellow cards handed out to both Derby and to Bristol, the referee did a good job of it.

After that, another goal came, and it was Michael Zandberg, with his second of the afternoon, which put Derby 3-0 and in the driving seat.

Zandberg scores a brace and puts the Rams 3-0 up.

After Zandbergs goal, Derby just passed the ball around, and loked like a team who could possibly get promoted this year. Warren bought fan favourite Emanuel Villa, who got involved and was close to scoring as well.

Zandberg also grabbed his 3rd as well, but dragged his shot wide of the post.

Then, to wrap it up, on 89 minutes, Mauro Cantoro slotted home, after a defensive error, to secure the win for Warren's Rams.

WARREN HApPY WITH RAMS PROGRESS

Sam Warren said that he is delighted with the Rams progress. The life long Rams fan, who was appointed at the start of the season, said that he didn't imagine his side to do this well.

He also said that he would love it if the Rams did get promoted, but does know that it is only early days.

Warren also added that he will be aiming to get as far as he can in the shield.

The Rams face Plymouth Argule on Monday, who The Rams lost to 1-0 a couple of games ago, but Warren said that his players will put that behind them.

He also said that he will give fan favourite Tito Villa a run out against Plymouth, after fans have been chanting his name in games.

Villa usually starts on the bench for the Rams.

On Task For The Spanish Shield

Real Madrid today showed why they are one of the best teams in the world by beating Leavnte UD 6-0 away from home. But that wasn't the only reason why they showed they are one of the best team's in the world it was how they scored there goal's as they were not tap in's. Real Madrid's first goal came from Arjen Robben who hit a trademark powerful shot that hit off the post. What a way to start a hammering for Real Madrid. The second goal came from Fabio Cannavaro. This goal showed Real Madrid's class as a perfectly laid ball what smashed emphatically into the goal by Fabio Cannavaro. One minute on in the game and Rafael Van Der Vaart rose emphatically and scored. The fourth goal came in the second half from Ruud Van Nistelrooy as he managed to rise above the defender and make it 4-0. Raul got himself on the score sheet aswell in the 67th minute as he drilled a long ball into the goal. Raul also managed to score again in the 84th minute as he was left alone and a player of his class and experiance isn't going to miss from 10 yard's. This is what the manager of Real Madrid Marios Tofaris had to say "I think we deserved this win as we have very good players who can play some excellent football. I think we have the potential to go all the way and win the Spanish Shield if we just concentrate.

Heerenveen keep the pressure on

500px-Abe_Lenstra_Stadion_pano_03m.jpg

Heerenveen have continued to build on their solid start to the Dutch campaign, reaching both domestic cup semi finals and currently sitting in 2nd place in division 1, 2 points behind Groningen.

Manager Mat Marshall had to send his scouts far and wide to look for possible recruits and after some initial problems, Marshall is now confident his boys can continue to put pressure on Feyenoord, Ajax and PSV, the latter currently sitting on 19 points, 9 behind Heerenveen.

Fans at the Abe Lenstra Stadion have been treated to some wonderful attacking football recently, with the last 6 home fixtures producing 20 goals with just 3 conceded. The last game saw Heerenveen knock Feyenoord out of the Shield on penalties.

Recent signing from Standard Liege Dieumerci Mbokani has been on absolute fire, and is looking to build up a strong partnership with veteran Gerald Sibon, keeping the likes of Aaron Hunt and Tarik Elyounoussi on the bench.

mbokani.jpgsibon.jpg

Dieumerci Mbokani plays the crowd and Gerald Sibon after yet another goal

It has taken some time for Marshall to understand the strengths and weaknesses of his players, some having been told to pack their bags and look for other clubs, others coming to the fore like Michal Svec and new boys David Abraham and Tijani Belaid.

Marshall has been impressed with Svec and Belaid, still only 21, and Argentine youth international Abraham, 22. Coming in from Slavia Prague, Belaid has torn it up on either wing thus far, highlighting his versatility. Svec has made the holding midfield position his own, while former FC Basel defender Abraham has cemented his place in the centre of defence.

svec.jpgbelaid.jpgabraham.jpg

Youngsters Michal Svec, Tijani Belaid and David Abraham

With an average age of only 22, there is much improvement to come from Marshalls men. With the experienced trio of Gerald Sibon, Croatian international Danijel Pranjic and USA international Michael Bradley forming the basis of his team, Marshall is confident they can sustain their early form.

"I honestly expected PSV, Ajax and Feyenoord to set the pace in this division. With my very limited finances I am content with the team I have built and the progress we are making. Hopefully we can get into one or even two of the cup finals and continue to surprise. I still expect Ajax and Feyenoord to move up the table but I am very surprised with PSV, who are extremely ordinary indeed."

The Scoreline says it all. Derby ran riot at Pride Park yesterday, as the banged 12 past Preston.

Kanu came away with another breath taking Hat Trick and yet another Man of the Match award, while De Nigris, Cantoro and new Turkish Center Back, Orhan Sam, managed to bag braces, while Michael Zandberg, Marchionni and Manfredini, managed to grab a goal each.

It was a great team proformance from the Rams, who just rolled over Preston, it was really men against boys. Derby are still 2 points clear at the top.

Derby County came away with a point from Norwich, which could be vital in their Promotion Push.

They weren't able to make any improvement on their lead at the top, but it had not increased either.

Derby defender Marin, managed to get Derby's goal, but Norwich Managed to find a goal late on, to save them to slumping to another defeat.

Derby face a tough test at home, as Cardiff City come to visit them at Pride Park, where the Rams are unbeaten so far this season.

Sao Paolo start the season fantastically.. doing well in all competitions!

610x.jpg

Sao Paolo and Brazil sensation Anderson Hernanes is happy with how he and his team are doing in the season so far in the Brazilian League - and he is delighted with how things are going under manager Ross Philp. With the 4-2 away win at Botafogo last night, Sao Paolo moved four points ahead of Botafogo to take a good lead at the top of the Brazilian League Table. Travelling to Palmeiras on Monday, the league leaders play in the Brazilian Cup semi final and then face tough league matches against Santos and Fluminense. They aren't doing too badly in their SMFA Group as a win and a draw with Juventus, a draw away at Schalke and a narrow defeat against Lyon means that the group is wide open, and that any of the four teams could progress. Philp's squad rotation policy seems to be working well at the moment.

Palmeiras 1-2 Sao Paolo

610x.jpg

Barbosa Richarlyson (above) knows that his strike is in, and is off celebrating as his goal ten minutes from time dumped Palmeiras in the Brazilian Cup Semi Final tonight at the Parque Antartica. Sao Paolo were the in-form team ahead of the match, and with no injuries, manager Ross Philp could name the same eleven that cemented their spot at the top of the Brazilian League on Saturday. It didn't go that way though, as the home team went in at the break ahead, courtesy of a Kleber goal on 29 minutes. Centre forward Nicolas Frutos struck to level things on 56 minutes, before the goal above from Richarlyson sealed the tie with Internacional.

MASSIVE WIN FOR WARREN'S MEN

derby-county-badge.jpg3-2cardiff%20city%20badge.jpg

Rams manager Sam Warren was "over the moon" after a battling and passionate 3-2 win over an on form 4th place Cardiff City side. Derby started on the front foot in the first 10 minutes, and also almost found the net. De Nigris hit a screaming drive which just shaved the post. But all that pressure didn't mean anything, as Cardiff broke, their big traget man, Jay Bothroyd was their, as he smashed the ball against one of the Derby defenders, and took a wicked deflection, which wrong footed Rams keeper Robinson Zapata. The Rams started on the backfoot. Then Cardiff started to pile on the pressure, Derby were starting to struggle. Orhan Sam came to the rescue a couple of times, to make sure the deficite was still 1.

Then, on the stroke of half time, the Argentinian midfielder striked again. Mauro Cantoro curled in a wonder strike on 41 minutes, to bring the score back to 1-1 going into half time.

oe_wisla_krakow_cantoro_470.jpeg

Cantoro levels things up with a wonderful curling shot.

Derby got that goal at the right time, and the mentality showed when they came out for the second half, becuase in the 48th minute, The little Italian, Maro Marchionni forced his way through the defence and lashed home from 8 yards, he is in real form at the moment. Derby should try and sign him permanently for sure. Derby 2-1 up.

Marco_Marchionni.jpg

The Little Italian scores again for the Rams.

When the goal went in, Derby were on the back foot. with Dusan Basta making some quite wonderful tackles and Robinson Zapata pulling off some world class saves. Derby striker Kanu almost made his goal tally to 13 goals for the season, but watched his shot go wide. Zandberg also came close, after Cardiff's dominance. But then, Cantoro grabbed his second of the match, which looked to be offside, but the flag stayed down and the Argentinian man kept his compsure and slotted home with ease. Derby 3-1 up and in control of the game.

6136eff9f8f84e0290868de2735e1e7f.jpg

Cantoro strikes again to make it 3-1

Cardiff came back, and came back with a force. Robinson Zapata pulling off some unbelievable save, and Dusan Basta again making some last ditch tackles. Peter Whittingham shaved the post and Joe Ledley watched his shot hit the post also.

Then finally, after all the pressure, Jermanie Lens hit a thunderbolt into the top corner to decrease the gap, but in the end, Derby held on, and Sam Warren was able to see his side win over a very dietermined Cardiff City, who possibly deserved to win, but Derby held on, and managed to grab the 3 points and retain the top spot in the table.

Leaguefixture4.jpg

Derby face Charlton Athletic on Saturday, which could be huge if the Rams are to win it, with Reading brething down their necks in the league table.

Savage is also still for sale! if you are interested, then put in a offer for the Welsh midfielder, who is now looking for a new club.

"THE RUN IN STARTS HERE" - WARREN

In his midweek press conference, Derby County manager Sam Warren, said that from now till the end of the season, Derby need to be at their very best.

"This is where it starts. The run in starts here. We are currently top and I would like to see this position through till the 38th match. We know it will be tough, but we need to prove that we can do it. We have the players, which I believe so far have been brilliant this season, particually at home, only conceding 6 goals and scoring 38 is quite unbelievable.

But on Saturday, I see this as the end of part 1, which has been successful, but the beginning of part 2, where we need to be more successful, which I believe we can do."

Leaguefixture4.jpg

Derby County Top After 18 Games, and are looking to extend their 2 point gap tonight.

Warren also gave his views on Saturday's match against Charlton Athletic, who are currently lying in 10th place, but haven't won in 5 matches. Derby are currently unbeaten in 5, and are looking to stretch it to 6 tonight.

"Every game is tough, thats the way I look at every game. Charlton are due a win, and I want to make sure that its not against us. We can't afford to drop points now. Reading are also looking to do the same thing as us, along with QPR, but I want to beat these teams to the top spot. We have the upper hand, therefore, we use it.

Hopefully some of our fans will make the trip down to London. They have been quite brilliant this season, they have followed us everywhere, and as a fan of Derby, I just love to see it. Hopefully we come away with 3 points on Saturday, and hopefully the teams below us slip up."

389856-1.jpg

"I just love to see it" - Sam Warren praises The Rams Fans for following The Rams and sticking by Him.

Warren also hinted that Polish Midfielder, Przemyslaw Kazmierczak, will be returning the the 16 man squad after his injury set back, which has kept him out for most of Derby's success.

"Kaz has been training this week, which is really good news. I don't think he's quite fit enough to start, and I won't change a winning side. I but their aren't any nw injury concerns, which is good, the atmosphere round the camp is positive, and we will be looking to get to the next level."

0,,10270~3748955,00.jpg

Kaz Ready to Make Return.

Warren also added that Derby haven't recieved any offers for Welsh veteran Robbie Savage, who has been told that he can leave the club by Sam Warren. He also added that Miles Addison (DM/CB 78), Mitchell Hanson (RB/CB 72), Steve Davies (W/F 78), Aleksander Prijovic (F 74) and Paris Simmons (F 68) are all free to go out on loan.

We haven't received any offers what so ever. I am ready to let go of Savage as soon as possible. I want people who are commited 100%, and Robbie isn't so I feel that if I let him go, than someone else can get the best out of him.

The young lads who ive let go out on loan, are top top players, they just lack match practice, and thats why i want them to go out on loan, just to get some experience and some match practice, so they can push for a First Team Slot.

Warren says Savage isn't giving it his all like the Others.

Derby County Managed to come away from the Valley with a superb 5-1 victory over a very poor Charlton. Derby dominated the match from start to finish, with Michael Zandberg leading the way, by curling in a sublime goal on 15 minutes, to give Derby County the Lead.

Then 2 minutes later, Mandfredini smashed the ball into the net after some Poor Defending from Charlton, who just couldn't answer Derby coming forward, they were just unbelievable.

And they weren't finished their! Maro Marchionni made it 3 to take the Rams 3-0 up going into half time.

After the break, Charlton did manage to bring one back with Chris Dickson on 48, but again, Derby were just too strong, and Kanu and Zandberg finished the game off, and Derby left the Valley with a well deserved 3 points.

These 4 wrapped the 3 points up for the Rams.

Derby face Watford at Pride Park on Wednesday Night, where they will try again to extend the gap at the top of the table, which is still 2, after Reading beat Watford 2-0.
