after the opening two games of the season barca sit at the top of la liga on goal difference

after a 1-1 draw at malaga and a 6-3 win over almeria barca take 4 points from 6

its a great start and one we can build on we have a target of 7 points from the first 5 games so we are well on the way to that

manager tony beddows added barca are always very slow starters and we have even agreed to play friendly games to see if that helps. we hope to be in the top 6 at around game 19 and will then hope to push on from there.

the front line

transfer listed henry has 2 in 2 games in a bid to prove his worth.

transfer listed etoo is performing well as he also wishes to stay at the nou camp.

new signing mutu will get his chance against chivas in a friendly and seville at the weekend

bojan will wait for his chance and will play a vital role in europe and the domestic cups

which brings us to

MESSI

who has been told he is the 5th choice striker in the squad and that his only hope of playing is out on the left in cup games if we are short.

Inter have managed to come out with a win in a 5 goal thriller against Palermo. Inter were 2 nil up at half-time but Palermo battled well in the second-half and managed to make it 2-2 but that was not enough as Crespo had scored the winning goal in the 74th minute to make it 3-2. Inter's first goal came from Patrick Vieira who used his strength and power to battle into the box and smash it into the back of the net. Inter's second goal of the game came after 17 minute's

An amazing goal by Scherer MAXWELL! The keeper had no chance! Were running out of superlatives to describe this guy! He's on fire!

45 Half-time

Palermo have managed to come back strong in the second-half as Moris Carrozzieri managed to score in the 51st minute but he looked surely offside but he took full advantage of the dubious decision and managed to give Palermo hope to get something out of this game in the game. Then Fabrizio Miccoli put Palermo level in the 68th minute with an excellent header. At this point Palermo thought they had grabbed the draw or could have go on to win but Hernan Crespo put Inter in the lead yet again as he finished off a slick passing move with a clever finish.

This is what Inter's manager Marios Tofaris had to say after the match " What a game! We thought we had got the three point's from the first half but credit to Palermo who battled well and got back to make it 2-2 but we carriedon playing our football we didn't stop after they equalised and we managed to score and win the game 3-2. The rumour's are true that our saviour of this match Hernan Crespo could be on his was to UNAM but we have not agreed to anything yet."

100% Record Still Intact for Cruzeiro

Cruzeiro now have 3 wins from their first 3 games after overcoming a tough clash with Atletico Mineiro, managed by one of the most experienced managers in the game (Rep of 143).

10: GOAL!! - Michael MORZ rises above the defender and glances a header inside the far post!

13: GOAL!! - A spectacular long range shot by Henrique RENAN OLIVEIRA flies into the top corner!

20: GOAL!! - Veron Bairros DANILINHO beats two defenders and slots home a great solo effort!

50: GOAL!! - A corner is headed clear only as far as Santos WELDON who hits it on the half-volley into the roof of the net!

84: GOAL!! - Michael MORZ rounds the keeper and finishes from an acute angle!

Morz put Cruzeiro ahead on his home debut after 10 minutes, but 18 year old Renan Oliveira equalised just 3 minutes later. 20 minutes in and Danilinho put Mineiro ahead at the interval. But Cruzeiro came out kicking in the 2nd half and just 5 minutes into it Weldon continues his fine form with his 4th goal in 3 games to level the game for a 2nd time. Both teams had chances going into the final few minutes, but with just 6 minutes remaining on the clock Morz wrapped up a superb debut with a stunning winner afters some great footwork.

Weldon is now tying top scorer on 4 goals, Guilherme is 3rd top with 3 goals, and debutant Morz is level 4th top scorer.

Cruzeiro manager Sefton is now level 3rd top manager in the setup after 3 games. He is the only non-English club manager in the top 4, and only one other manager is non-British club manager in the top 7.

Poulsen has left for rivals Fiorentina with Dainelli and Santana coming in return.

Abidal looks set to move to Turin with young starlet Giovinco and Mellberg going the other way. Sparky has said that despite having a bright future' date=' he decided to let go of Giovinco as it was the best move for his squad. Juve currently need a left back with center back Chiellini filling in as a replacement.

Jonathan Woodgate also is moving to Juve for an initial feel of £7,900,000 as part of the Gianluigi Buffon deal.

Trezeguet heads to Chelsea with Beletti and Anelka arriving in return.

And it seems Juve's right back problems are over as Christian Zaccardo looks set to arrive in Turin with Salihmadzic and De Ceglie going out in return.

Zaccardo will compete with Beletti for the right back slot.

Iaquinta is still available along with Camoranesi. Juventus now need a left sided midifelder / Winger.

Sparky why'd you leave?

Sam bullied me into leaving. mr. Howitzer will now be in charge of Juventus.

But in all fairness, had a rubbish run... Don't want to ruin a class side Juve and plus I've been neglecting it after my second game:o

Already quit dozens of GC teams so don't be surprised if I carry on releasing more:)

Last night Shakhtar squared off against Rubin Kazan at the Tsentralni stadium. The game was a really fiery one and totally 6 yellow cards were handed out and two red. 4 of the yellow cards were received by Shakhtar players and two were recieved by Kazan players. The two red cards were alos received by Kazan. This is what Shakhtar manger Rishabh Desai had to say after this fiery encounter:"Well, it was a very physical game. Both teams really went out there for the win and luckily for us a late performance from our players sealed the 2-0 victory for us. Surprisingly we are second in the table at the moment had we hope to do better as the season progress."

(All Yellow carded !!!)

The first half was a qutie one, only in terms of goals though. There were loads of bookings in the game. There were tackles flying in from all over the pitch and there was also a fight involving Cristian Ansaldi and Landon Donovan. It really was a miracle that none of the players were injured this game. The best chance of the half came in the 44th minute when Rubin Kazan midfielder chipped the ball over the keeper but unluckily hit the crossbar !!!

The second half started out much the same way as the first half but then along came super sub Luiz Adriano. The 21 year old brazilian came on in the 60th minute and made a huge impact on the game. Shakhtar suddenly opened out and really went for their opponents jugular. Just 10 minutes after coming on for Marcelo Moreno he scored a cracker of a goal. The ball was crossed in from the line and Adriano volleyed the ball in !!!

Adriano was also responsible for the next goals. Thanks to his brilliant vision and through pass, Rodrigues Jadson was one on one with the keeper and scored the winner thanks to a really calm and composed finish killing the game off once and for all.

Manchester United made it 4 wins out of 4 tonight after a victory over Hull City. The match finished 3-2 and as McCandless had said before the game, it was indeed a hard fought one.

It was Hull that opened the scoring on 8 minutes after Stelios Giannkopoulos chipped Van Der Sar. United responded in the 22nd minute through Karim Benzema, his 5th goal of the season. Shortly after Josue David Silva sloted home to give United a 2-1 lead going into half time.

The second half was mainly dominated by Hull searching for an equalizer and the got one in the 78th minute through Marlon King. With time running out for United to take the lead again up popped Frank Lampard who scored a long range shot, his first in a United shirt.

Ipswich hit 5

Ipswich Town 5-2 Swansea City

After a dull 0-0 draw against Plymouth 3 days earlier, Ipswich hit back today to hit 5 past Swansea City, a win that sees them move up to 2nd in the league, 2points behind Bristol City. Franco di Santo was back to his best, winning MOTM once again, with his two goals. Goals from Ricardo Rocha (1), Jonathon Walters (4), and Scott Sinclair (46) were enough to see off a poor swansea side. Franco di Santo now tops the goalscoring charts in the whole of england, with 7 goals from his 4 games, he has 3assists to his name, as well as 4 Man of the match performances, in all four games of the season.

Bleddy joke. :(

1-1 with Rangers in shield, they equalised in 88th minute and won on pens... :(

Wait a minute, why have we got another leg 1 next week? Why did it go to pens if it's two legs? Why is the 2nd leg called leg 1 as well? I'm so confused..

Edit: Wth? In GC26 I won my shield match, and got a message saying I'm in Round 2. But yet I have a '2nd leg' called Leg 1 again next week, and I'm also playing someone else in Leg 1 next week.

is going on with the shield?

Manchester United were comprehensively beaten on Saturday by Chelsea. Although the scoreline did not justify United's performance.

It was United who took the lead in the 27th Minuted through David Villa. Two minutes later however, poor defending allowed Xabi Alonso to score.

In the second half Chelsea added three more goals. They came from Randjelovic, Grosso and Van Bronckhorst.

United although did command most of the game having 52% of the possession and 27 shots on goal, 8 more than Chelsea.

When asked about the defeat McCandless said "I'm disappointed to have lost, but I think it will give the lads inspiration and want to bounce back from the defeat. You could say it was a "good thing".
