Real Madrid 4-3 Recreativo de Huelva

First half

Real Madrid opened the campaign, by winning against a spirited Recreativo side. The first goal came, after Wesley Sneijder crashed a header into the back of the net. Beto, gets sent of after clearly kicking his marker. Sneijder also got the second, when he latched onto a ball from the back, to volley home. Marco Ruben, found himself clear on goal, to score and give some hope, just before half time.

Second half

8 minutes into the second half, Fabio Cannavaro clearly had eyes set on the player, which results in a red card from the refree, no arguments about that one. With over 20 minutes to go, Arjen Robben cuts in from the wing and curls a shot, for a spectacular goal. Ruben gets his second of the night, after a beautifully curled shot, into the back of the net. Sneijder, on fire tonight, gets onto a through ball, dummys the keeper and passes it into the open net, for his hattrick, 4-2. Kanga Akale, trys to curl it in, at the near post and scores 4-3, FULL TIME.

Overview

With Cannavaro sent of, Real Madrid will have to rely on other defenders as he will miss 3 of the next games. This win puts Real Madrid 4th, in the La Liga table.

After a very exicting week for Inter, They managed to but the exictment behind them and pull a world class 3-1 win over league rivals Roma at The Stadio Olyimpico, which was sold out.

The first half was a very interesting contest, with Roma having the better chances in the first 10 minutes.

Stankovic came close to scoring, as he smashed the crossbar from 25 yards out.

Vucinic was also close for Roma, but was unable to stick it past Julio Cesar.

Then after 41 minutes, the goal came. Inter's prolific striker, Zaltan Ibrahimovic, slotted home, as the Roma defence had a lapse of concentration. Inter went into the break a goal up.

But then on 57 minutes, Vucinic found the ball at his feet, and was able to put the ball home for Roma, all of Inters hard work had seemed to be thrown away, but knw that they needed to come back.

The home side started to get frustrated, as the referee, handed bookings out to Francresco Totti and Phillipe Mexes.

Then, to rub salt into Roma's wombs, Diego Ribas, another debutant, smashed the ball home for Inter from 20 yards, to secure Inters well deserved win in Roma on 87 minutes.

After the match, Sam Warren said that he was absolutely thrilled with his sides proformance, and hopes this is the start of something special. He was also impressed with Aguero and Diego, and salutes them for their terrifc goals.

Rubin Kazan Defeat Title Hopefuls Lokomotiv Moskva

Impressive 1-0 away victory for Rubin Kazan at one of the title contenders Lokomotiv Moskva. 22 year old Ryazantsev got the only goal early on as Kazan took most of the possesion in a comfortable victory which was not represented by the score.

GOAL!! - An amazing goal by Aleksandr RYAZANTSEV! The keeper had no chance! Were running out of superlatives to describe this guy! He's on fire!

Next up is a home match against Dinamo Moskva - another tough encouter for the Shield hopefuls.

Balotelli impresses on surprise opening day win.

Yeovil Town got off to the best possible start to this season just down the road at Southampton as 2 Balotelli goals either sides of the half sealed a opening day win for Toggs, as his wonderkid loan signing stamps his foot on the division.

There were plenty of chances for both sides throughout the match, but Yeovil took the lead after 21 Minutes when a mis-hit backpass fell short to Balotelli who finished calmly past Southampton keeper Davies. In the second half, shortly after the break, it was made 2. A good ball over the top from Turkish winger Aydin set up Baloteeli who half-volleyed the ball into the bottom corner. 3 points then on what was expected to be a tricky away encounter.

Milan of to flying start as Richards enjoys superb debut !

Milan won 2-0 against Sampdoria in the opening game with 3 players making there debuts , Micah Richards , Joe Cole and Klaas Jan Huntelaar , Milan went 1-0 thanx to Richards himself in the 14th minute when he shot from an acute angle with the aid of a deflection flies into the top corner , just six minutes later another unlikely goalscorer in Kaladze as he dummies the keeper and slides the ball into a empty net and thats how it stayed. 2-0 to Milan , with Micah Richards picked up the MOTM award after a fantastic debut

After a disappointing 1-1 draw with Udinese on the opening day of the season, Viola picked up their first win of the season away to Palermo....

Michael Owen and Miguel Veloso made their debut in the 2-1 win. Vargas and Jorgensen got the goals for Fiorentina. On a bad not Kuzmanovic was sent off and Veloso picked up a minor injury...

Looking to build on this win against a great GC manager in Ross, and hopefully compete on all fronts this season....

After a nerve wracking 4-3 win over a determined Cagilari, Milan Manager Mark Wallis is expected to aim to keep his defence tight at the back, becuase he knows that Inter have the fire power to get inside them.

Wallis is exepected to make changes, after selling Brazilian star Ronaldinho for Diego Forlan and Sabrosa Simao. Simao is expected to start, but Diego won't start, as he is currently recovering from a strained neck.

This is the Man which will run Milan's engine. Inter have been linked with the World Player of the Year lately, and no suprise, this man is a match winner, and could win it for Milan today at 8:00pm.

INTER

Inter are set to have an unchanged side after a wonderful 3-0 win over strugglers Chievo. Warren knows this is the match which can decide everything, and he also knows that all his players must be at their very best.

As far as we no, no changes to the Intr side, but we do know that Diego Ribas is pusing for a start, after passing a late fitness test. Diego could be a huge part of the Inter midfield tonight.

MAN TO WATCH: Sergio Aguero

If Aguero is up for it tonight, then god help Milan's defence. Aguero has made a perfect start to his Inter career, with 2 goals in 2 games for the Little 20 year old Argentinian Wonderkid. Him and Ibrahimovic could be key for Inter today, because Inter will need to take their chances.

Milan destroy Inter in derby day rout

Milan won the derby day very comfortably against Sam Warrens Inter , after the big build up bets were being made and it had seemed many people had Wallis Milan as underdogs after watching Inters firepower in the league already , that wasent to be as it proved to have 5 goals and they all came in the first half . New signing Klaas Jan Huntelaar made it 1-0 on 11 minutes when Inter keeper Cesar came roaring of his line only for Huntelaar to beautifully lob it over his head , Milan were dominating possesion and were getting more and more chances when on 20 minutes Andrea Pirlo made it 2-0 after a terrible fumble from Cesar who seemed to be having a nightmare and Pirlo rolled it into the net

Huntelaar_helpt_Jon_263851h.jpgpirlo.jpg

Huntelaar and Pirlo gave Milan a 2-0 lead

Inter never gave up and came back straight in the game when 2 minutes after Milan went 2-0 up Dejan Stankovic made it 2-1 when he darted past the Milan defence and slotted in the corner . San Siro erupted a game was now on well thats what the Inter fans thought Milan had other ideas , Milan extended there lead on 28 minutes when PFA player of the year Kaka hit an absolute corker of a half volley which flew in the top corner , Inter heads dropped and Milan took full advantage by mking it 4 when Clarence Seedorf finished the rout on 43 minutes when he scored for an acute angle .

Milan move to top spot with 3 wins from 3 with Palermo being the visitors to the San Siro on wednesday night

Rubin Kazan Brush Off Spartak

After getting off to a brilliant start against Lokomotiv Moskva, Rubin have since lost to Dinamo Moskva and a shock defeat to Amkar. But last night they returned to winning ways, seeing off Spartak Moskva 3-1.

Despite this, Homenyuk put Spartak ahead in just the 13th minute. But the minute the ball went in, Sefton was leaping in joy, and the Spartak manager had his head in his hands. Why? Because Russia is a superstitious country. After Homenyuk's mistake, Spartak played well, and at the interval it was 1-0. But then the Spartak manager told the players how they had no chance after scoring in the 13th minute, and they gave up in the second half, not even leaving the changing rooms, allowing the Kazan strike partnership of Adamov and Danciulescu to score 3 goals between them in 6 minutes. After this, Kazan decided the match was won, and joined Spartak in the dressing room for the remaing 30 minutes of the match.

Rubin Kazan are now 4th, but Sefton is hoping to announce the additions of Ronaldo, Messi and Gerrard within the next few days, for a combined fee of £2m, 1 billion lollies and a couple of Russian yaks.

Rubin Kazan 0-1 Spartak Moskva - Volodymyr HOMENYUK (13)

Rubin Kazan 1-1 Spartak Moskva - Roman ADAMOV (59)

Rubin Kazan 2-1 Spartak Moskva - Ionel DANCIULESCU (61)

Rubin Kazan 3-1 Spartak Moskva - Ionel DANCIULESCU (63)
