Re: Gold Championship 32

Right. I am sticking with Rensing in goal for now, nobody willing to sell me a 90+ keeper. Remy has joined to cover Podolski, and Modeste also joins as part of the deal. Sagnol goes to Nice.

I'm willing to offer Klose and cash for a 88+CF under 27.

I'm willing to offer Borowski and cash for a 87+ CM or AM under 22.

Solari 14' Ortiz 85'

I was quite happy with the start that I had, a home win, a good result and a clean sheet with the 3-5-2. Play Hanover 96 in the first leg of the SMFA Shield tonight before facing Real Betis in the league tomorrow night.

Rejected a tempting offer for Negredo this morning.

CF Negredo 89

CF Solari 89

AM/F Piatti 88

The above can all go, in P/E only :);)

"It's Too Easy"

Sefton will probably live to regret those words, but for now Bayern are enjoying themselves. From the 5 games played so far this year, Bayern have won every single one of them. The latest came in the SMFA Cup group stages, sending Bayern top of both the SMFA Cup and the league, although Celtic took the lead through J. V. of H. - Juvah to his mates.

All the goals were scored from the second striker position, playing off Klose throughout the match. Modeste came in for his ex Nice team-mate Remy who's out injured and played their for an hour, scoring twice, before being replaced by Podolski who proved why he's keeping Klose out of the team scoring 2 goals himself.

Barcelona took the plaudits in the Cup, beating Galatasaray 7-0, whilst Roma defeated Shakhtar Donetsk 6-2 and Chelski came away with a 3-0 win at Fiorentina in the other big wins in the cup.

In other news, a deal reported to be £10m and Denilson for Borowski fell through after the Arsenal manager got drunk and left (I presume he was drunk, to leave Arsenal in a GC =/).

Celtic 1-0 Bayern Munich - Jan VENNEGOOR OF HESSELINK (20)

Celtic 1-1 Bayern Munich - Anthony MODESTE (24)

Celtic 1-2 Bayern Munich - Anthony MODESTE (50)

Celtic 1-3 Bayern Munich - Lukas PODOLSKI (65)

Celtic 1-4 Bayern Munich - Lukas PODOLSKI (85)

Miroslav Klose is still available - looking for a 90+CF and a 90+GK at any age.

Borowski is also available - want a younger CM or AM rated 88+.

Palmerias win 6-0 in Kennedy's debut match;

Palmerias manager, Liam Kennedy was last night thrilled after seeing his side beat Germio 6-0 on his debut as manager for the club.

When asked how he felt, he had this to say.

Brilliant, just Brilliant, my team played outstanding from the start, we've had our fair share of injuries but im glad that my team showed me they are well adapt to step in.

Bayern Complete Wolfsburg Double

The last time these teams met, they were seperated by goal difference. Since then Bayern have proved their worth as the top team in Germany, whilst Wolfsburg have completely lost ground, and before this match there was a 19 point difference in points. And after SMFA shock, it was a relief to batter a side actually worthy of beating.

My last report was after battering Celtic. Well since then, it has been disaster in the SMFA Cup. Forgetting to submit for Porto saw defeat, before losing to Insider's Atletico (this time remembering to submit). Forgetting to submit again saw defeat to Celtic, and this meant any chance of qualifying seemed slim. But a 5-0 battering of Porto meant qualification was possible, if Atletico could have beaten Celtic... which they failed, drawing 1-1. In the final game Bayern defeated Atletico 3-0, but Celtic's victory over Porto meant that Bayern missed out on the knockout stages by a point. Atletico and Celtic qualified with 10 points, Bayern had 9.

Sefton claimed it was heartbreak to go out, but promised next season they would reach the knockout stages at the bare minimum (absolutely certain that Bayern would make the SMFA Cup).

Bayern line-up:

Rensing 88

Oddo 90 --- Lucio 94 --- Lahm 93

Demichelis 93

Ribery 95 --- Ze Roberto 92 --- Van Bommel 92 --- Riera 91

Podolski 91 --- Luca Toni 94

Since the last report, Bayern have delved into the transfer market a few times. A number of the top talents joined the German leaders, including Efrain Juarez, Ryzhkov, Sergio Canales, Mehmedi, Rausch, Schennikov, Toski, Rui Fonte, Gutierrez, Pio, Rodrigo Mancha, Fabio, Kirev, Faure, Prichoda, Hernandez, Thuram-Ulien, Sergio Antonio, Spearing, Kelly, Laserda, and highly rated youngster Franco Zuculini.

Sefton believes he has one outstanding youth academy, and believes he is only pipped to having the best by Atlético manager Mark Farine. After a heated debate that left Mr Farine requiring surgery, Sefton was unable to make the manager believe he has a better academy. Pio and Zuculini were no match for Bertolo, and when Sefton pulled out his master card in Ribery, Farine pulled out Aguero. After a scuffle, Farine lost a lung, but was able to claim his academy as 'the best'.

Bayern also signed a number of big names. Remy arrived along with Modeste for £4m and Sagnol. Compper arrived for £5m, and Vucinic joined for £2m and Klose, with Okaka-Chuka believed to be part of the deal, but that fell through after Bayern and Roma already had 3 completed deals. It is believed Bayern will look at re-doing this deal come the new season. Riera then arrived with Altintop departing to Liverpool and £2m heading to Bayern. Malonga was previously signed for £7.5m, but an injury is expected to make his ability decrease, and with Riera coming in, it is believed he is no longer required. Sefton reportedly wants to replace him with an RM or W.

Bayern are 6 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga, and have an 11 point cushion over the team in 4th - outside the SMFA Cup places. The league is the obvious aim, but Sefton says SMFA Cup qualification is the bare minimum. Bayern will face Hamburg in the German Shield semis next week.

Atletico Can't Stop Scoring!!!

After a 5-3 win and a 3-3 draw, the guns were out again for a 4-0 victory at the Calderon over Valladolid. In a strange twist, Kleber started the match at left back; Antonio Lopez rumoured to be leaving the squad soon. Sergio Aguero, Johnny Heitinga and Paulo Assuncao also get a rest, with more then able substitutes coming in. Fabricio Miccoli is giving Aguero and Diego Forlan a run for their starting spot. He now has 3 goals in his first 2 matches.

Atletico can't score!

Atletico Madrid, using mainly backup players, lost ground on the top 2 today. Leonel Messi scored his 10th and 11th of the season to lead Barca to a 2-0 win over Atletico, who were resting the likes of Maxi, Simao, Ujfalusi, Lopez, Diego Forland and Kun Aguero for the upcoming SMFA Cup knockout match against bitter crosstown rivals Real Madrid. For Atlético, striker Vedad Ibisevic was even given a start, wearing Sinama's old number 14, after transferring from Hoffenheim, where he was goalless in 8 appearances.

An SMFA Cup place already secured, in fact, only Schalke can catch us now. 7 games to play, we lead by 12 points. So we only need 3 wins and a drew from the last 7 games to secure the title, and that's excluding any slip-ups from Schalke. I'm pretty confident of winning the double.

Re: Gold Championship 32

Following that German Cup win, Bayern's reserve side were beaten by Hannover who got instant revenge. But victory in a 6-pointer with second placed Schalke saw Bayern move ever closer to the title.

But then the match engine plays up again...

Stats;

Bayern 0 - 4 Werder (Goals)

Bayern 52% - 48% Werder (Possession)

Bayern 22 - 15 Werder (Shots)

Bayern 16 - 13 Werder (On target)

:confused::rolleyes:

I mean, realistically, a match could be close like this, with one team having the edge but failing to score. Maybe 1-0, possible 2-0 defeat.

But IRL, how often does the stronger team, have the edge, have 16 shots on target, but get battered 4-0?

Anyway, we have a 9 point lead with 4 games to go... a superior goal difference means that we effectively have to win one of our last few games to win the league.
