Roma Busy in the Transfer Market

As_Roma.jpg

Roma have made a lot of progress in the transfer market by arranging many deals. Roma have finally made their first 2 draft pick choices. The decision on who to chose for the first 2 draft picks was difficult however Roma manager Dennis Marks picked essential players for his team. The draft picks were the following:

ETOO.jpg

Roma's first Draft Pick was Barcelona's striker Samuel Eto'o.

julio--346x212.jpg

Roma's second Draft Pick was Internazionale's goalkeeper Julio Cesar.

Roma manager Dennis Marks (LKK) had this to say about the draft choices:

We chose Eto'o because we are really lacking depth up front with only Vucinic and Totti as strikers. Eto'o is in top form currently and will be bagging them for us. He was really needed. And we chose Julio Cesar as we wanted something to give us a rare bonus and to differentiate us from the other teams. So we chose the 3rd best goalkeeper in the world, his presence will be very helpful towards our success. I am very pleased about the draft picks.

Roma have also negotiated a deal with Zenit ST. Petersburg manager Nick Justice. They have agreed on a deal that will be helpful for both sides. The trade is as follows:

Aquilani for Denisov, Kim and a 2nd round draft pick.

This way Zenit get a great player in Aquilani and Roma get another draft pick. This way Zenit don't have to use money on a draft pick and get a player none the less. And Roma get a draft pick which they wanted.

Manager Dennis Marks had a discussion with a news crew and had this to say about the deal:

Both teams get what they want, simple as that. So it's a great deal seeing as everybody wins and I get a draft pick like I wanted. Although I'm giving up one of my top players I am happy enough with the deal.

Roma manager Dennis Marks has also brought in many risers to the club. The following players had bids accepted for them:

Glushakov -> 40k

Felipe (Trevizan) -> 10k

Danny Morais -> 175k

Bruno Aguiar -> 350k

De Leon -> 40k

Roma also have bids in for 2 more under 75 risers who will be revealed later on.

Roma also decided to sell players to raise funds for future transfers and draft picks. The following players have had bids on them accepted:

Virga -> 1.5 M

Zotti -> 1.8 M

Artur -> 1.2 M

Okaka Chuka -> 2.3 M

Brighi -> 5.3 M

Greco -> 1.1 M

Filipe -> 270k

Loria -> 3.2 M

Roma manager Dennis Marks had this to say about all of the accepted bids, in and out:

The transfers in were very cheap players who we as a club can gain profit off of once their transfer ban expires. The sold players are also raising funds. In the end we'll be using the money brought in to pay for the chosen draft picks and other players.

I am absolutely disgusted at how unappreciative my team have been!! I work my *** off trying to inspect the other teams roster and tactics, setting our tactics accordingly, training the players, fund raising and acting immensely in the transfer market!! And what do I get? A team who won't perform to their capacity! If we want to be successful we need to WIN!! I will work these players so hard in training they won't ever want to lose again!!!

Fener V ManCity!

Fenerbache were looking for a win after an upsetting draw against Stuttgart and he was out to do it against Ross Phillips' Manchester City. Iris wasn't holding back and played the full line up consisting of: Volkan, Gokhan, Roberto Carlos, Edu Dracena, Lugano, Maldonado, Kazim Kazim, Alex, Deivid, Guiza, Vederson. Iris commented that this was a must win game and that the team would give it their 100%.

Well we're underway and exciting game, Ross vs Iris.

3 minutes in Maldonado running down the wing crosses, oh my what a cross. Oh and Kazim Kazim running from the left and heads it in at the back post! 1-0 Fenerbache!

4 minutes Alex makes a nice run and Vederson finds him, but the ref says offside. Alex runs over and protests but all he gets is a yellow card.

7 minutes later free kick for Fenerbache. Alex to take. Oh and Zabaleta runs in before the ball is kicked. Re-take. Again Zabaleta runs in too early and the ref is certainly irritated and gives Zabaleta yellow card.

13th minute Robinho beats two and then lets one fly. Its dipping in but Volkan tips it over. Nice Save!

31st minute, Corner... Elano to take. It's sent in towards Jo and Jo glances it into the far corner. 1-1! City are level!

40th now Guiza nice run shoots just outside of the box but it hits the bar! Deivid runs in for the rebound but Hart quickly pounces on it.

41st, Maldonado is looking for a run, he's been having a great game so far. Hes about to find the run of Kazim Kazim and Zabaleta is determined to stop him but Maldonado's quick feet pass it first and Zabaleta's challenge is very late. The referee ones straight over without thought and gives him his second yellow and he's off!

Half-Time. Its 1-1 but Man City are down a man so we'll be sure to see lots of pressure from Fener in the second half.

We're underway! Fener start the game off. Here is Alex he chips the ball over the defense to a wide open Guiza. Hart comes out to stop him but he calmly chips it over him. Fener are up 2-1 after just 40 seconds of the second half.

58th the ball goes out clearly off Roberto Carlos but the ref says goal kick. Stephen Ireland comes over and shows him his fury but the ref just shows him a yellow.

62nd corner taken by Fenerbache but the ball is kicked out. Maldonado sends it back in but the Man City players have moved off to try and play the offside trap but Lugano makes sure hes alligned then runs forward collects the ball and drills it into the mesh. Nice goal by the centre back. Fenerbache 3 Man City 1

75th minute Alex weaving through the midfield and then fires one! Amazing save by Hart! But Deivid is there to put in the rebound and there is nothing Hart can do.

79th Elano plays a ball through the CB to Robinho who dummies the keeper and taps it home. He quickly grabs the ball back to centre.

Its all over Fenerbache have gotten all 3 points in a convincing 4-2 win over Man City. Great result for Iris and the whole team. Iris said after:

This is an important win for me, the club and the team. The players now know how much is expected of them and how they should play the whole season and if we keep this up we are no doubt contender for the league!

Man of the Match was given to Deivid, who bagged two goals today.

Dissapointing Lyon Defeated

Olympique-Lyon.gif

Yesterday Lyon were destroyed by a pass and move team of Sevilla. The day started appallingly for Lyon, when Dirnei Renato scored from a miss shot with crawled under the French Goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris. After being under constant pressure Lyon managed to pull one back from a sweet strike by Kim Kallstrom, after a through ball caught the Sevilla defence watching.

Meanwhile the crowd volume increased wildly and this must of inspired Renato who scored his second goal to make it 2-1 To sevilla after he had left the Lyon defence amazed with a darting run through and Drives it past the goalkeeper.

Before Lyon thought they could do anything worse Luis Fabiano finished off the night by scoring a clever finish before finishing of a slick passing move.

"We are dissapointed, We are very dissapointed with the overall performance aswell as the result. We have only scored 1 And conceded 3. I am very unhappy and i expect more out of my players."

Light At The End Of The Tunnel?

Lyon manager Kyle Turner can proudly announce that Jamie Carragher will be an iminent signing and will be signing onto the Lyon Squad this transfer window. We have not sorted out any arrangements yet but Jamie has agreed personal terms meaning him and his family will be moving to France.

"I will be an imminent signing in Gerland in this coming season. I am up for a new challenge after i have been with Liverpool for many years. I wish to return here someday though."

Jamie Carragher was quoted saying in his Liverpudlian accent.

The scouser wants his move to be completed as soon as the next transfer window opens.

Lyon Wheeling and Dealing Already?

There have been rumours that Lyon have signed a youngster due a rise in his rating. Kyle Turner has described this 'Signing' As a possible option and a money maker for him. It is believed if he gets his rise he deserves Kyle Turner will be willing to cash in on him and purchase Petr Cech.

Thanks

Vfb Manager has also declared the near buy of depth youngsters and money spinners but will not disclose anything else quite yet.

Josh Dagnall has also reassured the fans that Vidic will not be in Germany any time soon due to money problems but unless there is cash injected or money spinners come right vidic will probably not be a vfb player untill next season.

Hamburger SV have confirmed the arrival of Darshann Jo at the HSH Nordbank Arena, following the dismissal of their former manager who's disappointing reign ended following a third successive defeat on Sunday night.

They have also announced a change in draft picks, swaying from centre back Ferreira Pepe, to a more attacking Dutch option in Arjen Robben. Only time will tell if he can turn the fortunes of HSV around, but his first press conference proved to be a hit, with millions of female viewers enjoying the way fluent German rolled off his tongue. He's won the hearts of the fans, but now the real test is about to begin.

A great home result for Sevilla saw attacking football at its very best, and Sevilla have started to get their hopes up at the right moment.

At the moment a tough fixture away to Villareal who have won 2 and drawn 1, promises to be a cracker, but Austin has gained the confidence he needs to beat such a side as Villareal.

Austins secdond pick is Pepe Reina from Liverpool

Villareal Clinch The Cup!

Villareal secured the Fairplay Cup in dramatic fashion, after the teams coudn't be seperated for a third time this season. For some strange reason, both teams headed to England to play their match in Wembley, and 89000+ fans turned up.

It was a tight first 10 minutes, but after just 13 ex-Man Utd youngster Guiseppe Rossi put Villareal ahead, a stinging half-volley after Sevilla failed to clear a corner. Villareal had the better of the play, and it stayed that way until half-time. But Austin aka Lunar aka Chukwuma's teamtalk obviously helped, and just 11 minutes into the second half, Acosta pulled them level, thundering the ball home from close-range. But that was short-lived, and Santi Cazorla put Villareal back in front after bamboozling the Sevilla defense. At this point the Villareal fans were going wild, and surely heading for victory, until Aldo Duscher popped up with just 7 minutes remaining to sink 45000 Villareal hearts.

So it went to a penalty shoot-out, and Sevilla missed 3 of their 4 penalties to allow Villareal captain Marcos Senna to step with a chance to win it... and win it he did, blasting the ball straight down the middle to give Villareal the first ever Fairplay Cup.

Sevilla 0-1 Villareal - Guiseppe Rossi (13)

Sevilla 1-1 Villareal - Lautaro Acosta (56)

Sevilla 1-2 Villareal - González Santi Cazorla (65)

Sevilla 2-2 Villareal - Aldo Duscher (83)

Sevilla (1) 2-2 (4) Villareal

Sevilla news!

An exciting season so far has seen Sevilla clinch the runner up spot in the cup and also in contention for the league title.

Theyve been on great form this season, losing only twice the whole time.

A great cup run saw them lose out to Villareal on penalties, with much blame alloted to the manager(who refused to teach his team penalties)

Well, I made a bet with my assistant there'd be no need for pen training because the cup was so easy...but I was wrong it seems.What you gonna do?

Sevilla's last match saw them take on a better rated and over hyped Roma managed by Lil Kick Kid.

168_1216387042.jpg 4 - 1123_1192673039.gif

Sevilla lined up with their familiar 3-5-2, and the same team that lost out to Villareal in their match.

Defensive mistakes are common when you have 3 at the back, and Milito punished the hosts with an easy goal after a sloppy back pass.

The equalizer came quickly though, Duscher rising to head in a great header in....1 all!

aldo_duscher_334548a1.jpg

And before the half concluded, a great shot was stopped by Doni only for Kone to poach it in to make it 2 - 1 at half time

Kone_festeja_cuarto_gol_Sevilla.jpg

gave seville the lead

The second half started off with a flourish, roma dominating but failing to score.

They were punished for their rubbishicty when a great long ball fell to duscher who slotted home his second.

aldo_duscher_334548a1.jpg

And the game was wrapped up late when Jesus Navas scored a weird goal to give Sevilla an emphatic double over their Italian fellows...a great win...one that takes some beating

Jesus_Navas.jpg

Navas, scored the winner

With one game to go, Sevilla and Villareal are level on 27 points, with the next team close to them on 20.

Villareal have a 19 GD, 5 more of their Spanish counterparts, and this may make the difference in who finishes top

Sevilla, Champions!!

img.283582_t.jpg

Sevilla lifted the league in stunning fashion on Thursday, killing off an unmanaged Atletico away to clinch the title after Villareal lost their first match of the season away to Roma.

The odds were stocked heavily on Villareal, who had already won a cup that season, but a Totti goal was enough to cancel out Sanchez's equalizer and give the other Spanish team the title.

139_1195931882.gif 1 - 4168_1216387042.jpg

Sevilla's line up was laughable, Reina lining up in defensive midfield after being bought the previous day by the side, whose manager forgot to change tactics.

Simao was booked for the home side after screaming abuse, and the distraction cost the side dear,when Kanoute picked up the resulting corner, curling it round the unsighted keeper to make the scorers one nil to the visitors.

Renato had a good chance in the 19th minute, but he narowly blazed over.

he had his seonc chance 3 minutes later,a trademark strike by him finding nothing but net to double their lead.

renato.jpg

doubled the lead

but there was then cause for worry when Forlan pulled one back for Atletico,worry which was promptly rebuffed when Kanoute smashed into the roof for his brace to restore the cushion.

Frederic_Kanoute_narrowweb__300x388,0.jpg

Kanoute, scored a brace

squillaci then scored his first of the season and Sevilles fourth with a great goal,

3046410274-soccer-uefa-champions-league-first-knockout-round-second-leg-manchester.jpg

The title was Sevilla's in dramatic fashion, and fans streamed onto the pitch at the final whistle, as Sevilla won a tough and challenging title, and wrote their names in the history books by getting a winners medal for obtaining the most points in the setup!!
