Good start for England boss

england-crest.gif

England boss Liam Smith is enjoying a good start to his managerial career with the national side. 2 wins and a draw in his first 3 games have seen England go top of group 6. Victory in Paraguay tonight, with Joe Cole and Steven Gerrard getting England 2-0 up in 7 minutes, have put England 3 points clear of Saudi Arabia.

Ryan Clarke new Liverpool Manager

Today at Anfield Geroge Gillet and Tom Hicks showed off their new manager for the first time. The grins on their faces were evident as they know they have landed the best.Englishman Ryan Clarke landed the job after Scottish predecessor Nathan Kirby resigned over a pay row.Nathan averaged at 1.31 points per match. He managed 76 points in 56 games. The highest average was from unknown manager Stained Curtain who attained and average of 2.31.Ryan has said he hopes to live up to expectaitons of the board and the Kop.

Nasri Up For Sale

Ryan started by telling the press he would listen to offers for French Winger Smair Nasri. It is thought that it must be a P/E deal with a FIFA rated 91 winger going the other way along with 10-15 mil.

Liverpool 0-0 Inter

In new Liverpool manger Ryan Clarkes first match they met an Inter side managed by popular manager Ferg Milligan.Ferg who is a veteran of La Résistance has managed Inter for 105 games.

The first half was spent mainly in midfield with midfielders getting stuck in and tackles flying in all over the place. In the 3rd minute Torres was given a half chance but curled his shot wide.Karim Benzema gave a good performance and his header was just over on the 25th minute.Inter had a golden oppurtunity to take the lead when bangoura latched onto a clearance but his shot was blated over the bar to the annoyance of Inter boss Ferg Milligan. In the first minute of added time in the first half Benzema broke through Liverpools defence but his shot shaved the post. This was by a distance the best chance of the first half

HT

Ismael Bangoura was handed a decent chance when a through ball Sneijder gave him a chnace to get ahead of the Liverpool defence. His shot flew wide from 20 yards.Milito's glancing header was just over but it was just another chance missed for Inter.Arda Turan drove Liverpool on and has 2 shots one of which went wide and he other produced a great save from Julio Caeser.

Old Trafford.

Att: 76,212.

Manchester United managed by: Barry Golden.

Juventus managed by: Wesley Sneijder.

Manchester United continued their impressive form under manager Barry Golden last night with a 2-0 victory at home to Juventus. The win sees United go top by 5 points over Allan's Barcelona side. Barry Golden's next game sees him battle Lee Bradbury's German giants Bayern Munchen in the Allianz arena and should be a cracking game.

United had the dream start as 80 seconds on the clock Rooney was found in acres of space by Giggs and he made no mistake, placing his shot beyond the helpless Buffon. Juventus and United shared possesion after but a sudden break from Gareth Barry resulted in David Trezeguet heading inches over. Juventus gained momentum after that chance, and Jarolim hit the bar with a long range shot 31 minutes gone. Suddenly a United break was on and a dissapointing cross from Arshavin bounced off Chiellini and Gomez took full advantage in poking the ball home. Gomez has really shone under Golden, playing regularly and repaying him with 4 goals and 6 assists in 7 games.

In the second period, It took 20 minutes for the first real, clear opportunity to arise with Wayne Rooney chipping Buffon only for Chiellini to clear the ball off the line. Jarolim played an inch perfect ball for Amauri to run onto, with the Brazilian ace shooting across Van Der Sar and the ball trickled inches past the post. Ryan Giggs shot from the edge of the box in the 79th minute and came within inches of scoring. Van Der Sar and co. were lucky to escape with a clean sheet as in the 87th minute Gareth Barry ran down to the by line and pulled the ball back to Kalou, who's side footed effort went horribly wrong and out to the corner flag. Another win for Golden as his side push on, in theit push for the title.

Milan Win In Style

ac%20milan%20crest.jpg

After a truly horrific start to the campaign AC Milan have finally won their first game of the season with a thumping 4-0 victory over last seasons champions Arsenal.

After recent transfer activity and somewhat controversial week at the San Siro regarding Gennaro Gattuso - which caused uproar from the Milan fans before kick off - Milan needed to get a win under their belt to silence their critics. Raul and Higauin made their debuts for the club with Luis Suarez also playing a rare game for Milan with Cesc Fabregas deemed unfit to start. For Arsenal both Cambiasso and Gattuso arrived to the San Siro since their exit from the club.

1st Half

Milan kicked off and Luis Suarez was keen to impress the boss and he came close to scoring after barely 3 minutes gone, however his 2nd chance was much more clinical in the 7th minute when he volleyed in to give Milan the best possible start. Raul made his first contribution to the game, unfortunately it was to receive a yellow card after showing frustration. The 29th minute would see Higauin come into play as he set off on one of his mazy dribbles and he was unfortunate not to see his shot at least hit the target. Moments later however Theo Walcott should have levelled matters after missing a golden opportunity and that was only a minute later. 2 mins after that Eboue hit the bar from 25 yards out, Arsenal showing real attacking threat now. A couple of minutes after Guilherme showed a lack of composure by missing an open goal, maybe this could turn out to be Milans lucky day but they need a strong half time team talk.

Second Half

The second half kicked off and Higuain took matters into his own hands and turned into a bit of a playmaker. Gattuso had a chance to haunt his old club after a scramble in the 6 yard box but he shot straight at Mandanda. Luis Saurez popped up from nowhere to shoot just after but his shot was cleared off the line, very unlucky. Nunes then missed an open net, what are Milan playing at *). Then the oddest thing happend, Raul cleared off his own goal line when he is a striker, ah well nevermind he did a good job neverrtheless :). Moments after Zambrotta scored Milans second witha darting run as he smashes into the back of the net! Moments later Milan got their 3rd with Luis Suarez finally getting his 2nd after pouncing on a long range shot, this is looking good...... if you support Milan. Abou Diaby then scored against his old club with a beautiful looking curling shot and he ran the length of the field to celebrate in front of his old fans with his middle fingers up in the air. This isn't controversial its strictly humour he said after the game :? yyyyyeeeeeaaaahhh? Higauin had the final chance of the game and he only narrowly missed but still a great win for Milan and a much needed one too.

Clearly Milan were happy with their win, but over the top do you not think?

Transfer News

FC Schalke 04 have signed two players on loan from Real Madrid John Obi Mikel and José María Guti. Also Alves Assis Jo is at medicals to join with Schalke. Lars Sohnwaldt: ''The signings of Mikel and Guti are very good for our team, we look now more stronger at midfield and now we can use more offensive playstyle to score more goals, that has been Schalke's problem in last games. Jo would be a first team regular starter if he signs for us and passes medicals. I hope that we won't screw up in our next game against Sporting.''
