Gold Championships: The Best External Players.

sm-gold-mem.gif

With the current flood of GC creations, I’ve decided to do an analysis of the higher rated external players to give all forumers

the slight upper-hand.

Obviously, if you only manage the Manchester United’s or Barcas etc ... then this thread won’t be of much use.

However, hopefully this will help out the weaker and fringe clubs like Nantes, botafogo, Amkar etc … in finding that respectable LB replacement or that elusive RM to add depth.

linebreak1.jpg

Use this key as a guide:

GREEN
- Must Buy! (Rise Imminent/ future star)

BLUE
-Solid Buy. (Future rise/safe rating)

PURPLE
- Average Buy. (Safe for now, possibly a slight drop in the future)

RED
-
Do not Buy! (Rating drop)

Goal Keepers

89 (30) Bogdan LOBONT – Dinamo Bucuresti

Chairman’s Value: 6.0 M

Rating prediction: 0 (Romanian changes in approx 7 weeks)

He is currently the first choice keeper for the Romanian National Team. Played very well at the Euro’s and is also doing fine at Dinamo Bucuresti. In other news, Inter Milan are tracking Lobont which may see a possible move to Italy.

88 (28) Franco COSTANZO – FC Basel

Chairman’s Value: 6.4 M

Rating Prediction: +1/0 (Swiss changes in approx 9 weeks)

He has played every game for current league leaders, FC Basel. Captain of the side and has conceded the least amount of goals in the past 2 seasons. Wouldn’t surprise me if he received another increase up to 89 next changes.

88 (35) Essam EL HADARY – FC Sion

Chairman’s Value: 2.2 M

Rating Prediction: 0 (Swiss changes in approx 9 weeks)

He is a cheaper option who is starting to find his feet at the age of 35. Played every game so far this season and should maintain his rating. I can see him playing another 2 solid seasons so retirement shouldn’t be a problem.

88 (33) Dimitar IVANKOV – Bursaspor

Chairman’s Value: 3.4 M

Rating Prediction: – (Bulgarian changes in approx 7 weeks)

Skilled keeper who single handedly won the Turkish cup earlier this season by saving three penalties and scoring two himself. A good buy but a rise is unlikely.

80 (34) Raimund HEDL– SK Rapid Wien

Chairman’s Value: 430k

Rating Prediction: +4/5 (Austrian Changes in approx 8 weeks)

Has started the last 7 games putting 88 rated keeper KOCH and 86 rated keeper PAYER on the sidelines. Pretty impressive and a big rise coming up if this continues.

linebreak1.jpg

Left Backs

88 (29) Koji NAKATA – Kashima Antlers

Chairman’s Value: 6.8 M

Rating Prediction: -2/3 (Japan changes in a week)

Don’t bid for this player. He’s started just 5 games out of a possible 30 and is really out of favor at the club. I’m expecting a decent drop in the coming days.

79 (25) Juan Carlos DE LA BARRERA – Juarez

Chairman’s Value: 1.2 M

Rating Prediction: +5 (Mexican Changes in approx 5 weeks)

He has played every minute for Juarez. Big Riser … Buy him Now!

Right Backs

88 (30) Silva TONY – CFR 1907 Cluj

Chairman’s Value: 7.2 M

Rating Prediction: 0 (Romanian Changes in approx 7 weeks)

Regular starter for Cluj. Go or it if you’ve got the money.

88 (28) George OGARARU – Steaua Bucureşti

Chairman’s Value: 6.7 M

Rating Prediction: - (Romanian Changes in approx 7 weeks)

On loan from Ajax and has made 6 appearances so far this season. It’s too early to predict a rating change atm.

linebreak1.jpg

Center Backs

88 (28) Dorin GOIAN – Steaua Bucureşti

Chairman’s Value: 8.6 M

Rating Prediction: 0 (Romanian Changes in approx 7 weeks)

Important player for Steaua and the Romanian National Side. Can’t see him dropping so definitely a good buy.

88 (32) Barry OPDAM – Red Bull Salzburg

Chairman’s Value: 6.8 M

Rating Prediction: 0 (Austrian Changes in approx 8 weeks)

Has become a regular starter over the past 2 months and should hold his rating in the next Austrian changes.

88 (32) Hannu TIHINEN – FC Zurich

Chairman’s Value: 4.6 M

Rating Prediction: 0 (Swiss changes in approx 9 weeks)

He’s the main CB alongside Hyppia for the Finnish National Side. Played 8 games this season meaning that the 88 rating should stand for now.

88 (26) Oguchi ONYEWU – Standard Liege

Chairman’s Value: 7.7 M

Rating prediction: 0/+1 (Belgian changes in approx 9 weeks)

Has started well this season playing every game for the current champions. International player for the USA and is higly regarded in the Belgian league. Worth buying if you’ve got the money.

88 (24) Gabriel TAMAS – Dinamo Bucuresti

Chairman’s Value: 6.0 M

Rating prediction: 0 (Romanian changes in approx 7 weeks)

On loan from Auxerre and is a regular starter for the Romanian National side. Looking at his not so flattering stats, I can’t see him rising anytime soon so maybe a cheaper option is the way to go if you’re short on money.

88 (29) Santos JULIO CESAR – Dinamo Bucuresti

Chairman’s Value: 6.6 M

Rating prediction: -2 (Romanian changes in approx 7 weeks)

After 2 successful seasons at Olympiacos, he has made just 1 appearance for his new club, Dinamo. A drop is very likely for him.

88 (24) Mohamed SARR – Standard Liege

Chairman’s Value: 8.2 M

Rating prediction: 0 (Belgian changes in approx 9 weeks)

Regular starter for Liege so he wont drop in the future. I cant see him rising at Liege either.

88 (33) Vladyslav VASCHUK – FC Lviv ** NOW 85 **

Chairman’s Value: 3.4 M

Rating prediction: -2+ (Ukraine changes now)

He now plays for Lviv after a stellar career with Dynamo Kyiv. The SM database only has 1 other player from Lviv so I doubt that 88 will last another week playing for a lowly rated club.

linebreak1.jpg

Defensive Midfielders

88 (27) Mirel RADOI – Steaua Bucureşti

Chairman’s Value: 6.8 M

Rating Prediction: -2 (Romanian Changes in approx 7 weeks)

Just 1 appearance this season. Needs to get back into the starting side, otherwise his rating will drop a fair bit.

87 (20) Gary MEDEL – Universidad Catolica

Chairman’s Value: 7.5 M

Rating Prediction: - (Romanian Changes in approx 7 weeks)

Future Prospect. Already 8 appearances for the Chilean National side and many consider him to be a big hit in the future. If you’ve got the money then why not?

Left Midfielders

89 (32) Olivier MONTERRUBIO – FC Sion

Chairman’s Value: 6.1 M

Rating Prediction: 0 (Swiss changes in approx 9 weeks)

Played every game this season for Sion. 4 goals and is one of the best players in the Swiss League. Pick him up if you can, as he won’t be dropping anytime soon.

89 (32) Scott CHIPPERFIELD – FC Basel

Chairman’s Value: 4.5 M

Rating Prediction: 0 (Swiss changes in approx 9 weeks)

He’s A great player for Basel starting 10 games as well as being on international duty with Australia. Still going strong with those world cup qualifiers so I cant see a legit reason for him dropping.

88 (23) Daniel PUDIL – Racing Genk

Chairman’s Value: 9.1 M

Rating prediction: 0 (Belgian changes in approx 9 weeks)

Future prospect. Was due to play for Czech in this years Euros but had to miss it due to a hand injury. He’ll come good in the future especially if he changes clubs but at the moment, 88 will do him fine at Genk.

88 (30) Marek ZIENCZUK – Wisla Krakow

Chairman’s Value: 5.3 M

Rating Prediction: - (Poland Changes in approx 7 weeks)

He is very versatile and has kicked plenty of goals making him a key player for Wisla. Cant get stats for this guy.

88 (29) Andres CHITIVA – Juarez

Chairman’s Value: 7.9 M

Rating Prediction: 0/-1 (Mexican Changes in approx 5 weeks)

He hasn’t featured regularly for Juarez which makes it a slim chance to drop down to 87. There are better LM’s to buy with this kind of money.

Right Midfielders

88 (23) Banel NICOLITA – Steaua Bucureşti

Chairman’s Value: 8.3 M

Rating Prediction: - (Romanian Changes in approx 7 weeks)

Romanian National Player known for his electrifying pace. Wont be dropping for years to come.

88 (31) Libor SIONKO – FC Kobenhavn

Chairman’s Value: 5.2 M

Rating Prediction: 0 (Denmark Changes in approx 8 weeks)

Currently occupies the RM position for the Czech National Team. Has started to come good in the past month for Copen Hagen so he should stay at 88.

linebreak1.jpg

Center Midfielders

90 (25) Jorge VALDIVIA – Al Ain

Chairman’s Value: 11.6 M

Rating Prediction: -2+ (UAE changes soon)

He was a key part in Palmeiras winning the state title which is why he increased to 90 earlier this year. However, he has now moved to a no-name club called Al Ain who don’t even have a player rated in the SM Database. Expect a drop in ratings for him .. how much?, I don’t know but it’s not worth the risk.

90 (37) Niko KOVAC – Red Bull Salzburg

Chairman’s Value: 6.3 M

Rating Prediction: 0/-1 (Austrian Changes in approx 8 weeks)

Regular starter, Salzburg Captain, Croatian National Team Captain … great player but the only downside is his age which will see him go down to 89 sooner or later. Short term relief for your side but he will cost you at least 5M as there are usually more than 6+ clubs going for him in every GC. Good Luck if you want him.

89 (28) Enrique VERA – LDU Quito

Chairman’s Value: 7.6 M

Rating Prediction: 0/+1 (Ecuadorian Changes in approx 2 weeks))

Lead Quito to the title last season and has recently signed a 4 year deal with Mexican side, America. He has slotted perfectly into the starting America side with 13 appearances so a rise to 90 may be possible next year (although a slim chance this year).

89 (22) Lucas BIGLIA – Anderlecht

Chairman’s Value: 12.2 M

Rating prediction: 0 (Belgian changes in approx 9 weeks)

Future Prospect. Often compared to Pirlo, this 22 yr old has already played for Argentina. He turned down several offers from the big clubs so that he could guarantee himself a starting position every week. Won’t rise now but he has the potential to hit the 90’s in the coming years as he continues to make a name for himself in the Belgian Liga.

88 (26) Karek GERAERTS – Club Brugge

Chairman’s Value: 8.3 M

Rating prediction: 0 (Belgian changes in approx 9 weeks)

8 appearances from a possible 10 for current league leaders Brugge. Should stay at 88 for now.

88 (32) Rene AUFHAUSER – Red Bull Salzburg

Chairman’s Value: 4.3 M

Rating Prediction: 0 (Austrian Changes in approx 8 weeks)

He has made 12 appearances from 15 including a start in the uefa cup. Key player for Salzburg so the 88 should stand for a while.

linebreak1.jpg

Attacking Midfielders

89 (20) Steven DEFOUR – Standard Liege

Chairman’s Value: 15.0 M

Rating prediction: 0 (Belgian changes in approx 9 weeks)

At the age of 20, he is rated as the best player in Belgium. Already the ‘playmaker’ for their National Side and is hugely talented. I’d recommend this to the bigger clubs as you’d probably need to fork out 20+M as he is popular. Future star!

89 (26) Guerreiro ROGER – Legia Warszawa

Chairman’s Value: 8.3 M

Rating Prediction: 0 (Poland Changes in approx 7 weeks)

Regular starter and is probably one of Poland’s best players. He plays for the Polish national team where he made history by scoring Poland’s first ever goal at the Euros.

88 (28) Steffan HOFMANN – SK Rapid Wien

Chairman’s Value: 7.3 M

Rating Prediction: 0/+1 (Austrian Changes in approx 8 weeks)

They call him the ‘soccer-god’ as he didn’t even miss a minute last season. Has started this season strongly with 15 appearances and 6 goals. Small chance of 89

88 (30) Sasa ILIC – Red Bull Salzburg

Chairman’s Value: 5.3 M

Rating Prediction: -2/3 (Austrian Changes in approx 8 weeks)

Don’t buy. Out of favor with the club and a hefty drop is on the cards. 3 starts from 15 and his last appearance was back in August.

88 (30) Eugen TRICA – CFR 1907 Cluj

Chairman’s Value: 4.4 M

Rating Prediction: 0 (Romanian Changes in approx 7 weeks)

He is regarded as one of the best players in the Romanian Liga 1 so unless SM are harsh, should stay on 88 for now.

Wingers

88 (29) Antonio SEMEDO – Steaua Bucureşti

Chairman’s Value: 5.8 M

Rating Prediction: 0 (Romanian Changes in approx 7 weeks)

His first season with Steaua after winning the Romanian liga with cluj last season. He has made regular appearances since his debut which included a goal scored from a corner kick back in September.

88 (19) Axel WITSEL – Standard Liege

Chairman’s Value: 11.8 M

Rating prediction: 0/+1 (Belgian changes in approx 9 weeks)

Has played every game thus far. Only 19 years old and has played 5 international games for Belgium. Witsel, alongside Defour basically carved up the opposition taking Leige to the title. Witsel also received the Young Footballer of the Year for Belgium last season. A future prospect and also a good chance of rising to 89 next changes.

81 (28) Edwin SANTIBANEZ – Juarez

Chairman’s Value: 2.2 M

Rating Prediction: +4 (Mexican Changes in approx 5 weeks)

He has played every minute for Juarez. Big Riser … Buy him Now!

linebreak1.jpg

Strikers

89 (37) Henrik LARSSON – Helsingborgs IF

Chairman’s Value: 1.5 M

Rating prediction: 0/-1 (Swedish Changes in approx 1 week)

Has had a stellar career and at the age of 37, is still going strong with Helsingborgs as well as the captain of the Swedish National Side. A small chance he will go down to 88 but nevertheless, a good cheap option for the smaller clubs.

89 (27) Milan JOVANOVIC – Standard Liege

Chairman’s Value: 8.0 M

Rating prediction: 0 (Belgian changes in approx 9 weeks)

Won best player of the year award for the Belgian league last season. Played every game so far this season and also a regular International player so the 89 will stand for a while. A bid of probably 10M+ is needed to get his signature, considering the decent interest in him.

88 (34) Alexander ZICKLER – Red Bull Salzburg

Chairman’s Value: 2.9 M

Rating Prediction: -1/0 (Austrian Changes in approx 8 weeks)

9 starts out of a possible 15 and just 660 minutes. Obviously age is getting to him but he is fairly unpopular in SM so he might still be available in older GC’s. He may drop to 87 but it’s too early to make predictions so I wouldn’t be too worried about that.

88 (30) Robin NELISSE – Red Bull Salzburg

Chairman’s Value: 5.3 M

Rating Prediction: 0 (Austrian Changes in approx 8 weeks)

13 starts out of a possible 15 and 7 goals. Won’t be dropping anytime soon but I doubt he will go higher. Weaker clubs should snap him up at chairman’s value if they can.

89 (27) Nicolas FRUTOS – Anderlecht

Chairman’s Value: 7.4 M

Rating prediction: -2 (Belgian changes in approx 9 weeks)

He is currently out of favor with the club. A drop will happen, the severity will depend on the next 9 weeks.

88 (22) Dieumerci MBOKANI – Standard Liege

Chairman’s Value: 8.2 M

Rating prediction: 0/+1 (Belgian changes in approx 9 weeks)

9 appearances out of 10 with 6 goals scored for the current champions, Liege. Quality player who is also a key member of Congo. Small chance of a rise to 89 next changes.

88 (27) Barbosa ALECSANDRO – Al Wahda

Chairman’s Value: 6.9 M

Rating prediction: -2+ (UAE Changes soon)

His good rating has mainly been down to his solid performances for Cruzeiro. He has now moved to UAE, and has become the first player on the SM Database for Al Wahda. I wouldn’t be surprised if his rating tumbles down soon.

85 (25) Marc JANKO – Red Bull Salzburg

Chairman’s Value: 3.4 M

Rating Prediction: +2/3 (Austrian Changes in approx 8 weeks)

9 starts 2 subs and 17 goals. If he keeps this up, 88 is a chance considering their highest rated player is 90.

linebreak1.jpg

This sums up all the higher rated external players in Gold Championships. I know I have missed some, especially in the strikers section (which I will add another day) so just say so if you are unsure about buying a particular player that is not listed.

Good Luck to all Gold Members in GC45. If you don’t get that big club, hopefully this list may help all of us forumers choose the right player when in need.

If you still can't get the player you want, theres always the option of buying from unmanaged clubs. :)

Good Luck and I hope this helps.

Re: Gold Championship Setups: The Best External Players

rafael sobis is playing in the middle east at the moment and got a -1 drop last week, so he may not drop when the free agents are being reviewed

ps rivaldo i believe is also a free agent

pps miguel villalta is at an unmanaged peruvian club and he's a 88 CB 27yr old and george koch is an 88 GK 38yr old at an austrian club

Re: Gold Championship Setups: The Best External Players

Top thread, only... I already knew about external clubs, and now my chances of getting these players in new or old GC's have suddenly dropped. :(

But that's me being a grump because a lot more people will now be fighting me for these players lol. :)

I notice Ciprian Deac is missing? No Josip Tadic? Dusan Tadic? Jan Lecjaks? Lots of VERY promising Serbs you might want to look through. Both Tadic's have been linked with top clubs. Mandzukic? Badelj? Joaozinho?

You mention Janko, I got him in a couple of GC's when he was rated 83. :D

missing for a reason :rolleyes::P

I just forgot that my chances of getting most of these players for my Spartak in GC44 has signifcantly dropped aswell :o

Thanks Seftinho for those, Ive only been looking at 88+ players and I'll look at a greater scope later this week.

Will add them another day as I'm too tired atm

I just did a word count in MS word and it was just under 3000 words ..

it was fun to do tho, I think I might hand this thread in as my English Essay. :D

Banel NICOLITA is RM/W and you have him under LM just to let you know and Vladyslav VASCHUK decreased to 85 today. Great thread' date=' a lot of effort put in here.[/quote']

Cheers for this ..

I was bound to make some errors making such a long thread .. Ill fix it up asap.

I'm sure their are a few more errors left so if you do see one, just point it out and Id be very grateful for it.

I know you're doing a cool thing for forumers but part of me can't help but feel that this kind of information should be selfishly kept to oneself. There's already enough competition for such players in Gold championships as it is. Why would you wish to generate more

Still great information though mate :)

Regardless of this thread being made' date=' I think it's a safe assumption to make that all 88+ external players get snapped up within days of creation so theirs no point being selfish as a team can only buy so many.

Anyways, I was just looking through GC's 17-22 and I noticed that in 5 out of the 6 setups, Janko was still available prior to this thread ... obviously they've been snapped up now ;)

Also, Barrera and Santibanez are still available in many gold setups  so theres not alot of competition for the lower rated (80-85) promising players.

I might think about adding the 80-85+ raisers in the list, so keep in touch with this thread.

[i'][Took me a few mins to find this thread .. didnt realize it got moved away from player ratings :P ][/i]
