Despite Schalke Winning 3-1 Against Bochum Thanks To A Dzeko Hat-trick, Things Arent Looking Good For Schalke. Motta Got A Sending Off After 2 Yellow Cards. Schalke Are Now a Whole 2 Points Off The SMFA Cup Spots! 2 Points!!!

The Manager Said "We Are Going To Have To Win Every Game Now To Get Hold Of The SMFA Cup Spots." Schalke Remain 7th In The Table.

A home win for Hamburger was welcome, especially after resting a few key players to get the fitness of the others back up to 100%.

Hamburger remain 7 points clear of Werder Bremen after their 1-0 victory over TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, which means that TSG are now 10 points off top spot.

There are 10 league games to go, so anything is still possible, the top 7 look set, 12 points between 1st and 7th, with FC Schalke sitting in 7th, 7 points ahead of last years winners, 8th placed Eintracht Frankfurt, but in which order will it finish????

Hamburger put out a strong 89 average rated team, but were humbled away at managerless Bochum (average 85), with 4 games in 6 days the squad is going to be severely tested, youth will be given a chance to shine in the mickey mouse cup on Monday, giving a chance for the so called senior players to take a strong look at themselves and get 100% fit, ready for the next league game, then the 2nd leg of the quarter final of the smfa shield, in which we have a home tie against AS Nancy Lorraine after a first leg 5-4 win.

The league has got very interesting after other results went against Hamburger, although still in a strong position with the points on the board, 4 clear with a healthy goal difference in out favour.

Key man Nigel DE JONG is back from injury in 8 days time, he has been sorely missed and will go straight back into the team when fully fit.

Lazio got back to winning ways with a 2-0 win over Chievo at home on Saturday night having failed to record a victory in the previous three attempts although those games included the two giants which are Inter Milan and Juventus. Here are the last for results for the club:

Juventus 1 - 1 Lazio

Sampdoria 1 - 1 Lazio

Lazio 2 - 0 Chievo

Here is how the table looks with the recent results:

As you can see the team is in a SMFA Shield spot with only 13 games remaining, a fantastic achievement so far considering the mess the team was in and their bottom of the table position when i took over earlier on in the season.

In transfer news, the only signing made since the last update is that of free agent Alberto LORA who joins the squad later on today having had a £1million bid accepted. The Spainish CM will be in for a hefty rise after christmas to help raise added funds to the transfer budget! Meanwhile, i will have several 86 rated players available for cash within the week!

Does anyone have an 85+ rated attacker for loan and also a couple of 85+ CM's/DM's also? Thanks

Lazio recorded another two wins out of two with a 3-0 hammering of Division 2 side Frosinone in the Italian Cup Round 1. The second team proving that they can be relied upon, although the next round is a little tougher with Eternal City rivals Roma the team they will face.

In the league, Lazio travelled away to Pisa and were given a scare despite running out eventual 3-2 winners with the club remaining in 6th position...

Ajax tonight continued their great form after a 2-0 win at NAC Breda saw them go just 5 points behind leaders AZ Alkmaar who suffered a shocking 2-1 defeat to the hands of FC Groningen. Ajax face second place FC Utrecht next game as a win over their title chasing rivals could send them just 1 point behind 2nd place, exciting stuff in the Dutch league.

In other news after his rise, Thomas Vermaelen has been told he could leave Ajax if the right deal comes in for the Belgian full back. Jake has come out tonight and released the following statement "Thomas is a very talented player and after being at Ajax all his career he feels a change is needed.
