Ajax manager Jake A has today spoke with SkySportsNews sources in the Netherlands after many players have recently been linked out of the Amsterdam Arena after serving their transfer bans. The likes of Eduardo, Vermaelen and Emanuelson have all been approached by other managers for possible transfers after critics claim they are "un happy" at Ajax. Sources in Germany say that Thomas Vermaelen was seen approaching an "unknown club" but Jake has played down them reports as Thomas has been negotiating a new contract with Ajax to keep him at Ajax until 2012. Jake has tonight released a statement which clears up any confusion to the Ajax fans about certain players leaving the club,

"I can confirm that FC Schalke and Arsenal did approach Thomas but, Thomas did not fly out to any destinations as it looked very unlikely that Thomas would leave us. He has dedicated himself to this club and is currently negotiating a new contract which will keep him at Ajax until 2012. Shows how much jouranlist's get it wrong, no-one has approached either Eduardo and Emanuelson, Eduardo is currently settling in with new forward John Carew and Emanuelson as always, is showing good performances week in and week out for us. I hope our recent form continues, we have deeply narrowed AZ's lead at the top to just 5 points now and a win tommorow night against 2nd place FC Utrecht could give us a real chance of retaining our title. We had possibly our worst season ever last season but this season the new faces have made big changes, John Carew and Eduardo seem to be partnering up well already hitting 9 goals between them up to now after Carew joined a month ago. Emanuelson has also hit a few goals this season, hitting 8 goals in 22 appearances is very good for Urby and if he continues could get a rare call up to the Dutch national team."

Ajax also announced the signing of Tom Huddlestone on Sunday morning. The England U-21 international joined from French club AS Saint-Etienne for a fee thought to be around £15 million pounds. Jake has described Huddlestone as "one for the future" as soon Tom could be called up to the England squad. Huddlestone made over 50 appearances for Etienne but only bagging just 2 goals for them earning 2 man of the matches. Huddlestone has described he's move to Ajax as "life changing" after not much talent ligered in the Etienne squad to make them noticed as Ajax have alot of international players.

Schalke Tonight Went Into The Game Against Hertha Looking For A Win, And They Would Have Got All 3 If It Wasn't For That Meddling Michael Owen In The 85th Minute. Re: Gold Championship 50 - Match Report / Transfers Thread

A 2-1 win moves Liverpool up to 19th place, now only 4 points of 17th placed Sheffield United. Got United, Tottenham and Arsenal still to play, but we should avoid relegation if all goes to plan...

Listed a few players for cash, and willing to listen to offers on any of the players.

Just looked at the Schedule, and there was a 16 match losing streak in all competitions

Good to see you off to a good start mate, hopefully you stay up.

Ajax held to a 1-1 draw away to FC Groningen, Diego Souza being sent off in the first minute for a 2 footed tackle , Ajax are now 6 points off top spot with FC Utrecht taking top spot. :o

Would it be nasty of me to want you to get relegated? :D

Welcome back :)

Man United lose 3-1 at closest challengers Spurs and the gap is down to 2 points. Quite badly wanted to avoid defeat so I could focus on the Champions league but it wasn't to be. My reserves face Real Madrid on Wednesday before I play Arsenal on Wednesday, and Liverpool next saturday :o

Hertha BSC 0 - 2 Hamburger SV

Half Time: (0 - 0)

-----------------

M.BOSELLI 54, 64

5 games to go and still 4 points clear after a morale boosting away win at 3rd placed Hertha (who are now 10 points off the pace). Next up is a SMFA Shield Semi Final 1st leg versus Shakhtar, quickly followed by the visit of Bayern Munchen, anything can still happen in this league. Fortunately the 2nd leg of the semi isn't until after then end of the German season so Hamburger can concentrate on the remaining 5 fixtures.

Parma managed by: Unmanaged

Fiorentina managed by: Barry Golden

Fiorentina smashed an Unmanaged Parma side to move two points behind Juventus. Fiorentina are currently in 4th place and have 9 games to play.

Fiorentina have smashed a lot of teams this season, and part of it was down to their early goals which the specialise in doing and today was no different. Zdravko Kuzmanovic bagged his 14th goal in 20 matches this season after 25 seconds, hitting an absolute belter from 34 yards. Fiorentina continued to press and only 4 minutes in they were 2-0 up. Giampolo Pazzini flicking in a low Semioli cross. Fiorentina's travelling fans were estatic, Parma's concerned. Parma nearly struck back, with Mouche heading inches wide on 20 minutes. Santana had the best chance of the remainder of the half, clipping the outside of the post with a low 30 yard drive. 2-0 Fiorentina at half time.

Early in the second half, Fiorentina put the game to bed. Hamil Altintop finishing off a lovely passing move involving Kuzmanovic and Pazzini, tooking the ball into the bottom corner. 3-0, 50 minutes gone. Fernandez nearly got one back for Fiorentina but his delicate chip bounced back off the bar. Pazzini turned the defender and won a corner from a fine save from Silva. From the resulting corner Pazzini headed in his second and his sides third to send the fans wild. Parma's fans flooded the exits. In the 72nd minute, Semioli flew past two defender on the left wing before cutting inside a midfielder and he rifled a shot into the top corner from inside the box. 5-0 and humiliation for Parma. After that, Semioli headed inches wide and Mouche twice hit the post to try and gain a consolation for Parma but it wasn't their day. Great result for Fiorentina.

Re: Gold Championship 50 - Match Report / Transfers Thread

Been a little bit disillusioned with my Lazio of late especially having missed out on Both Diego Perotti and Honorato Nilmar just down to my own stupidity more than anything. I had the funds available and my chairman was allowing me to bid more than the offers accepted for both players i just messed things up but life goes on...

A win against local rivals Roma tonight with a 4-1 scoreline was nice, just hoping to use some of my sizeable transfer budget over the next few weeks to beef up the team a little!

Lazio.jpg

Lazio regained some form last night with a 4-1 thumping of fierce Eternal City rivals Roma. Goals from attacking trio Mauro ZARATE, Fernando LLORENTE (2) and Peter CROUCH did the damage after Steve Sidwell had put Roma up just 1 minute into the game.

This result moves the club up into 7th position with the team looking in a good position to qualify for Europe next seaon. However, the squad will still need a massive amount of investment if it is going to be big enough to cope with the demands of fighting on four fronts...

Manager Daniel Walmsley authorised the departures of fringe players Walter VILCHEZ, Josimar MOSQUERA and Efstathios TAVLARIDIS for a combined fee of £17.2 million to help swell the clubs coffers although the manager will be hoping to invest all of that cash back into the squad within the next week or so!

Adiyiah.jpg

Adiyiah - Lazio latest signing...

The only inbound players has been that of Dominin ADIYIAH, the 20 year old Ghanian forward who will go straight into the youth setup. The transfer fee is believed to be around £700,000 to English side Chesterfield.

Meanwhile, Daniel Walmsley distanced himself away from previous reports linking him with English side Liverpool, now managed by previous boss Kuldeep Samra:

'There is no truth in those stories, i am happy at Lazio and have no intention of leaving the club. Liverpool have done an excellent piece of business in bringing Kuldeep back to the club and i wish him the best of luck in turning things around. I am over-seeing a very exciting project here which i don't think anyone else in football could do a better job at than myself and the aim is to continue with that project. Of course it would be appealing to work with players like Torres, Chiellini, Iniesta, Xabi, Mascherano, David Silva and many other top names but i have future superstats of my own here and i intend to work hard with them to turn this club into a real force and deliver some silverware that our dedicated and loyal fans crave and deserve!'

Hamburger SV 3 - 2 Bayern München

Half Time: (3 - 1)

--------------

I.OLIC 1

N.DE JONG 16

G.HOARAU 35

--------------

F.KANOUTE 38

C.AMAURI 70

Hamburger overcome a tricky fixture at home to Bayern, after being 3-0 up it was a nervy last 20 minutes after first Kanoute, then Amauri got the score back to 3-2. 4 games left and Hamburger still have a 4 point advantage over 2nd placed Werder Bremen, with only 12 points left to play for it's now a two horse race for the title, although the SMFA Cup and Shield places will still be hotly contested.

The Worst Thing Of All' date=' Is Schalke Are My Fave And (IMO) Best SM Team. And They Are The Team I Have Had Longest Atm.[/quote']

Exact same for me, I have 7 teams, Ajax and City are the last team's I would be wanting to quit, we could try and make this setup more active but I doubt it would help tbf, setup has always been abit dead but now it's officialy dead.

You two' date=' don't quit..I've just joined as Bordeuax and I admit it is very dead. But if you quit you will really regret it...especially if there your most favorouite teams on sm.

Maybe we could work something out? I dunno. :)[/quote']

Yeah if we could possibly ravamp the setup fully but it is hard for me as I have 7 teams at the moment which I am finding a little hard to set all tactics and along with 50, to do deals. I'm sure though if we all try we could try and get more people to join an make it more active, Barca keep going to come free but their manager keeps logging in 1 day before they are set to come free , sums the setup up all together tbh.

Re: Gold Championship 50 - Match Report / Transfers Thread

Maybe A New Thread Could Help A Bit. Keep The Active Away From The Old.

Maybe We Could All Ask Munt To Just Quit And Keep All Of His Other Teams. Boscaneros Is Already In The Setup' date=' So Atleast He Wont Get Them.

Any Other Suggestions?

But We Do Have 4 People I Suppose. Jake, DanG, LinkinP (;)) And Me.[/quote']

A new thread might help, just for match reports would do I think, I was maybe thinking a challenge between us here, Dan - France, You - Germany, LinkinP - Spain, Me - Netherlands and Barry - Italy. I would do regular reports I dunno about you's but if anyone's up for it that would be good. Yeah, Munt is holding up alot of people's chance of getting in this setup now, along with many others, so all we can hope is that they just quit because it isn't right if we say quit lol, I hope soon that we get some decent managers back. Just to clarify also, there's that immense Villa coming free tommorow aint there?

Re: Gold Championship 50 - Match Report / Transfers Thread

I Wouldnt Mind Doing It Now And Again. Shame Though' date=' I Think Ziggy Could Do With A Bit Of Banter In Spain Instead Of Munt. Yeh, It Should Be Tomorrow.

And Another Thing, We Have A Few Other Good Managers In Germany. With Bigpig (Werder) And Gary Townsend (Hamburger) Who Posted Earlier.

But I Dont Think I Would Be Able To Do It Every Day That Often. I Should Be Able To Do once A Week And I COuld Do Match Reports.

And Why Not Make One Of Those Group Things?[/quote']

I hope someone decent gets that Villa, I will try and tell Hunty as I'm sure he will wan't to get back in this setup. Yeah forgot to mention them, sorry, 2 great managers I know. It doesn't have to be every day just like an odd post there and then to keep the thread abit active. Like a thread? Would be good if someone made one, don't have much time to make one at the moment, can someone else make one?

Re: Gold Championship 50 - Match Report / Transfers Thread

I'm happy to continue doing the match reports, although I must admit they are not that detailed at the moment, especially now the season is coming to it's conclusion. Maybe some of the other managers need to be given a nudge towards the forum to liven it up a bit, maybe Germany could become the new GC19 Italy???
