Re: French Ligue 1 and 2 Ratings

This thread is a very very successful thread m8!!!! :D

I really enjoyed reading what you wrote for the reports ;)

Sloan PRIVAT - 3 - 9 - 4 - 1 - 517

74 -> 82/85

I think this bit needs editing

Keep up the good work m8!!!!! :D

EDIT: Add some the links of the last 2 clubs on the first post m8

EDIT (again): In Marseille, the midfielder is supposed to be M'BIA and in Bordeaux, Alou Diarra didn't play only 140 minutes, did he???

Thanks for the pointers. Knew I'd have some typos. :P His name really is M'Bami, though.

Re: French Ligue 1 and 2 Ratings

just wanted to check this:

Conceicao EMERSON - 11 - 6 - 0 - 0 - 1110

80 -> 87 (playing for TAFFOREAU)

a +7 rise? :)

excelent thread m8!

Yeah' date=' it's all true. He is replacing someone whose rating is over 87, so that's the least SM [i']should [/i]give him. The thing is, however that SM like to be a little less than mininal... He's still promising, though. :)

Re: French Ligue 1 and 2 Ratings

Hey this is a great thread. Keep up the good work!

I was wondering if you could give me one-liners on some players and their chances of rising:

Lloris

Mandanda

Ederson

Makoun

I know you put their projected rise in the thread, but i was wondering if maybe you could put your opinion on 'em ;) . Thanks.

Recommended Player of the Team - Jean-Alain FANCHONE

If you don't know about him yet, then that sort of sucks, because his last rise was from 70 to 78. Hopefully, if you bought him, you didn't sell him, because he's about to rise again. He is Strasbourg's starting left-back. He is more of a statistical prospect than a real talent, but he is still the biggest riser here. Buy him if you don't have him.

Re: French Ligue 1 and 2 Ratings

Montpellier

Montpellier HSC have been the surprise package of the season. After five seasons spent in Ligue 2, Montpellier have finally returned to the top flight in style, climbing rapidly up the ranks and raising many eyebrows in the meanwhile. They spent a good amount of time in second place this season, but ended up finishing fifth, a point behind fourth-placed Lille. Several players can be expected to rise as a result of this.

Re: French Ligue 1 and 2 Ratings

News update time ;)

Le Mans have announced that they fear losing Pele to the many clubs chasing the 20-year-old. I don't blame them. They have a lot of good talents, and all of them are getting shot at by transfer rumors. Le Mans manager Legarda says that even though they want to hold onto Pele, there's no stopping a club who offer him a massive wage. If a bigger club does pick him up, then his rating could change for the better.

Speculations concerning Benzema have returned in time for the January transfer window. As with the Summer window, rumors state that he is still longing to play in Spain, and I would expect him to move to Barcelona. Such a move would give him a chance to rise more, as Barcelona's rating limit is well above Lyon's.

Another Lyon player rumored to be on the move is Fred. He already stated earlier this month that he wanted to move back to his homeland, Brazil. Now, Fluminense have shown interest in him, and I think his departure from France will be very quick and easy. A move will probably not affect his rating, though.

Yet another Lyon player who has received some media attention is Cleber. He is currently on loan at Sao Paulo, but states his wishes to play in Scotland. The Brazilian hopes to play for an Old Firm club.

There has already been some finished transfers recently. One such transfer is that of Gunnarsson, the Norwegian international, to Nancy-Lorraine.

Another is the transfer Rangers striker Darcheville to Valenciennes. What the heck is he doing moving to them? Does he want a challenge or something? :P

City won't be taking Grosso from Lyon, so it's all well for the injury-doomed team.

Cavenaghi wants to "listen" to offers, but he would prefer to stay. Good. Get Bordeaux to 1st place and you'll give your team the rise of a lifetime. :)

Bafetimbi Gomis is being targeted by Arsenal and other Prem teams. Leave St. Etienne now! It's your grave! Leave or flop!

Lloris to 92(50%) and Mandanda staying on 90(75%)?

Both are standard in their teams(1st and 5th team of Ligue 1) and playing for NT where Mandanda is in front of Lloris.

I feel that you are a little too rough saying that Marseille's conceded goals(24) are all Mandanda's fault. :D

Yeah, looking back, I think I was a wee biased (I don't like Marseilles; I'm a Nice fan!:P)

After looking at videos of their goal concessions, it seems that it's Marseilles' **** defending that's been causing the greater fraction of the goals.

I read that Bisevac from Valencienes has been put in the top 5 french league defenders this season by L'equipe' date=' however I see you don't think he will rise, is that cause of the club he plays in?[/quote']

Yes, it is because of Valenciennes' position on the table. Last season, they sat in the top half of the table until around the 30th round. Since then, they have been spiraling further and further closer to the relegation zone, and now, they've finally fallen into it.

Re: French Ligue 1 and 2 Ratings

Fred has just denied that he is moving to Brazil. His contract expires in June 2009, and he will probably move to Fluminense then.

Congratulations to Gourcuff, who has been selected as Ligue 1's Best Young Player of the Year, and Cavenaghi, who has been selected as Ligue 1's Best Foreign Player of the Year. :)

Sorry for the silence here recently. Angers will be posted in a few moments.

Recommended Player of the Team - Ayite Floyd

Here is another player who has been well mentioned on the forums. Since Round 13, Floyd has been alternatively starting and subbing in for Angers. At this rate, he has a chance of becoming a full starter.
