Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread

Take nothing away from Hammer some of the deals he's got are good such as the deal he bought Ibrahimovic for (D.Costa+Marvin Martin). But then there are a few I'd have not done.. I mean who buys Torres!* :D

*Although I still believe he will come good.

Wish he would hurry up and do it, it's a sad sight seeing in this rut they should have a friendly against an awful team and let him fill his boots but then again the form he is in probably wouldnt do anything

To be fair' date=' that New York was a very impressive side before you took over, full of some very good players like Herrera, Hummels, Rami, Bastos and a pile of other young players.

No doubt you've changed the look of them but they were a class side anyway.[/quote']

thats what i am saying, its like i said that i made Barca in 120 i got job offer and done few deals /but mostly its theirs squad plus work of previous managers/agree deals were from excellent to solid not like Lyon-159-which is ruined by my opinion and some others like koplfc:rolleyes:

GC122 Man United - Man United lift the FA Cup after beating Everton 5-3 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in regular time.

David Silva should be joining from Valencia once the manager accepts my offer.

Edit:

GC46 Real Madrid - Real win the Charity Shield 4-3 on penalties after a 0-0 draw, will count this one as very lucky as I didn't know the new season had even begun.

Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread

GC69 - I a few days back took over League two out fits Southend United in the hope of making a big team out of them.

I have signed a number of up coming players for the long term mixed with some good names for the know.

(Top Four Signings)

Edgar Cani - He is rated 82 cost me 1.7M aged just 22 and playes for Palermo but out on loan a long term player.

Andrea Cocco - He is also rated 82 and will play up top with Cani, he playes for Cagliar aged 25 cost 1.5M is sort and long term but feel ill sell too sign a younger up coming ST.

Marvin Ogunjimi - The Belgium winger will be key here, he is aged 24 and cost 3.5M the Mallorca star is rated 86 and is a stand out player for a league and team like this.

Chris Smalling - Yes the one your thinking of the Manchester United star ratted 88 joined for a wopping 29.8M he is a stand out signing can reach the hights of 95+ and have high hopes for him. He was wanted by a number of teams but beat them all too his signing.

I would not turn down a keeper on loan next season anyone as well as a LB get in touch and good luck too all in this setup.

GC159

Lyon have signed Benfica star J.Saviola for 18M was shocked too get him for cash but happy days may be willing too sell Gomis for the right offer.

Currently players iv brought in are - Javi Garcia , Huddlestone , Dede , Laybad and El Ghanssy. Looks promising but all build ups have to start from the bottom up i guess.

A word of advice when you do comparisons make sure they are valid when i took over that ajax they had a shed load of money, Canella agger and walker were there already as the previous manager decided to go crazy and sell everyone for cash. So everyone else i brought in, And i did improve them from what they were but the GC bored me so i left and i'm sure i did joint top and in front of your FC Twente??

Also i didnt lose vertonghen and others so get your facts right before posting, glad i'll never use your lawyer services if this is the way you prepare. You'd get an innocent man sent down

Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread

Very happy with tonights set of results.

GC153 Valencia -Drew 0-0 with Villarreal which I'm extremely happy about, neither of my big two were playing. The result keeps me 4th and ties me on points with Santander who are starting to slip up now as expected. Next up for us is Bilbao, me and Preppens have been waiting for this since the start of the season haha, this game will mark Falcao's debut, where I'm hoping he can terror the Bilbao defence.

GC156 Real Madrid - Won 2-0 against a well managed Malaga, they were sitting third, myself 2nd. Was very wary of being on the wrong end of a upset here. But we came through 2-0 winners, the goals coming from Coentrao and Kaka. We had most of possesion and were giving a huge slice of luck with their key player Carzola getting sent off halfway through the game. Another bonus is that Barca lost 3-0 to unmanaged Levante so I go back joint first in the league.

GC158 Paris Saint-Germain - After our hideous start to the league, we managed to pick up 3 points away to SM Caen. The final score saw us run out 4-3 winners, very concerning conceding three goals from three shots, but I played a mix of second team players. Hopefully we can start performing now and climb up the league.

Find what ever comparisons you want mean nothing to me as i play this game just to fill in gaps at work and when i get free time at home, frankly no one cares what you do to teams or what i do to teams, just like i don't care what people do as its how they choose to the play the game.

Will be culling my teams soon enough to concentrate on more pressing matters, wont leave fully as there are some leagues where a battle is good such as Ray's Napoli in GC19 and also his Darlington in GC73 and enjoy competing against a good manager, Same with Dai's Inter in 31 but reckon i'll take that league this season :P

You were already 1-0 up before Cazorla was given his marching orders. A deserved win for your Real which leaves the 2 powerhouses level at the top of the table.

We've(Malaga) had a good start to the season and we're hoping to maintain that and try and take advantage of any slip-ups you or Barca make. But it will be a tall order for us, especially as I currently have 8 of my first team squad either injured or suspended.

But well played and good luck for the rest of the campaign.

GC 74: Sampdoria won 4-1 over Parma. Goals came from Keisuke Honda (2), Pazzini, and Sulejmani. Still lying in the mid table. And with alot of match left, iam sure we can finish in the top 5.

GC 97: Bari picked up important 2-0 win versus Genoa. Il Capitano Andrea Pirlo scored (again) for us. In transfer news, signed French young defender Nicolas Isimat Mirin for €4,2M from Valencienes.

GC 119: Palermo sold Mattia Cassani to Kari's Real Betis for Jantschke+Nastasic+G.Appelt. Also signed Rasmus Elm and Zlatko Junuzovic.

GC156 Real Madrid - Completed my first deal this morning, it saw Iker Muniain join my team, with outcasts Esteban Granero and Raul Albiol going to the Basque outfit. The Bilbao manager was only after Spanish players and I was after another winger, preferably a younger player with potential, and Muniain fills all the criteria.

GC 38: New England Revolution

Sold a couple of players that are not needed.

dean barden steered New England Revolution to victory against Columbus Crew.

New England Revolution outclassed Columbus Crew and beat them 3 - 0 in their Division 1 fixture.

Hooper scored a brace and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance.

Sinclair was also on the scoresheet for his side.

Also got my first win in this setup after a disapointing first 3 games which I drew two and lost one.

GC 53: Goias

Still taken offers for T Silva would be looking for a CB replacement and another player both 90+.

dean barden steered Goias to victory against Figueirense.

Goias hammered Figueirense 5 - 0 in their Division 1 fixture.

Medel scored a goal and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance.

Plasil and Souza were also amongst the goalscorers.

Also won again and keep up the pressure for top spot. Still 7 points behind and 8 games left so it is not imposable.

GC 158: Aberdeen

You have decided to reject the job offer from Sochaux. Your chairman and fans are delighted at your decision!

Rejected the offer as I tend to never club hop and I hope to build this team into a winning side.

dean barden steered Aberdeen to victory against Cowdenbeath.

Aberdeen outclassed Cowdenbeath and thrashed them 5 - 0 in their Division 2 fixture.

Bozovic had an impressive game and was voted Man of the Match.

Frimpong, Miyaichi and Dragovic were amongst the goalscorers.

Back on track with a massive win which puts my GD to +10 with use not concerning a goal yet and sadly this week the only other manager in Div 2 left so I have no real life people to fight over the league.

GC108 -

The offer for Alex SONG of Arsenal from Internazionale has been accepted. The transfer will be completed within the next 24 hours.

The 24 year old DM/CB is joining with 5M + Thiago Motta + Tim Cahill heading the over way, I am happy with the deal as he will be close too first team football and both of them are Lev 2 and 1 and will only go up as not needed here. Yes a 91 for two 90s is a big price but feel it was a good deal over all.

Lissening too offers for:

94 - Kaka

93 - Cech / Lampard

92 - Carrick / De Jong

91 - Hulk (Will need a good deal can do 2-1 for a top winger)

Just message me.

Chuffed to bits...won my first SMFA Super Cup at the 4th attempt tonight, in GC91 with Borussia Dortmund. Beat Madrid on penalites!

What makes it more satisfying is that it's a Dortmund that I rebuilt after all the stars had been raided and sold in terrible deals by old managers.

Looking forward to the new season!B)

Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread

Melbourne Heart - GC 157: Currently have a nice 5 point lead on the table after 6 games. With the Australian league only being 18 games long, it's a nice lead to have early in the season but I do play 2nd placed Perth on Saturday which will decide whether I can push for the sole Champions Cup slot available. Could really use a loan or two as I've kept my team completely original due to family commitments (Missus having another kid and having to constantly change dirty nappies). Really need a decent keeper and a striker.

Bayern Munchen - GC 43: Start of a new season, thankfully. Had a horrible debut season, after picking them up midway through the campaign and then failing due to half the side being cup tied.

Available for P/E are Ronaldino, Ze Roberto, Saviola, Altintop, Kalou & Westermann. Jorg Butt is available for chairman value.

Would urge some forumers to join GC 43 and help make it a bit more active. I can help with loans if necessary.

Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread

Does the in-game chat feature log conversations?

I had one the other day with a member asking me if I had any good job offers and would I let this person know if I do. Because they are unable to get good teams theirself. I stated it was against the rules to do that but pointed out the Available GC teams thread on the forum might be able to help.

Then, I get this reply today. Via PM this time:

you told me were to go when i asked you to help me get teams that you were rejected, you said it was against the rules.

yet when you post teams on that stupid job offer thread you request you get a favourable transfer as a reward (thank you)

is this not also against the rules, you are a hypocrit.

What on earth is he on about? I certainly have NEVER had a favourable transfer from posting an available team. Nor would anyone else, I'm sure. Alright, sometimes I see people say, 'You can sell me _____ as a reward' but thats always in jest.

Some funny people about.

Had the same request off a "Pep Guardiola" ' date=' he wanted to know if I had any good teams on job offer to let him know.

I explained it was against the rules he claims he didn't know it was against the rules .

Wouldn't mind he had a rake of good teams too.[/quote']

Sames been happening here, have about 2 people asking every day.

GC158 Paris Saint Germain - Been wary of swapping any of my players, as alot of them could rise due to their real life circumstances. But I really needed a back-up winger to Menez and Nene and I've managed to sign one in the shape of Seydou Doumbia, leaving Paris is Guillaume Hoarau and Milian Biseavic, again it looks as if I'm paying too much but 24 goals in 30 games I'm certain Doumbia will hit 90 in the next changes.
