rico suave 1,087
Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread I think most players would agree with you to be honest.I still like the game but it hasn't improved much - if any. They've spent too much time on the look of the game rather than how the game plays. I can count 0 game engine updates and around 1750 social media incorporations and face lifts. That's one of my points.....the game looked better when I started as we had club badges which makes the site look a lot better. As for the match engine that's been neglected for years and I doubt will ever get much attention unfortunately.

Preppens 10,217
Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread Has the game really gone that bad? I think most on the forum would agree that they enjoyed SM more a couple of years ago. They've done lots of changes that has made the community increasingly frustrated, some of them are the Soccerwiki and changing how they review players. F.ex. they no longer announce which league is next to be reviewed and go through all teams one by one. Nowadays it appears to be done almost at random, and some leagues seem to get some-what neglected. But to get to the actual gc's, most of them are dying out with only around 40-50 managed teams in each one which has made them a lot less competitive as you can buy great players for cash from unmanaged bigger clubs. It's hard to completely blame SM tho when it appears managers has found the way to force open new ones whenever it pleases them. Anyway, I still enjoy quite a few gc's that I'm in that are around 50 managed sides in. I'd recommend that if you want to try it out then start with buying a month GM and try it out yourself. Or maybe just start out with some custom game worlds for now, there's plenty forum-based ones out there

Guerilla 3,478
Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread Yeah, it's not as bad as most people would make out in general. It's just a few main things - Such as the advertisements and the fact SM just spend all of their time updating the look of the site rather than the actual game engine. They're essentially not improving their product, but their marketing of their product.

If your enjoying it then buy a GM.Has the game really gone that bad?For me yes. I really enjoyed GC's as they were the most competitive setups about, now they are made every 2 days and half the sides are unmanaged with a few weeks. I mean there are 13 Liverpool sides available in GC's as I speak. 2-3 years ago there wouldn't have been one.
