Paul-Jose Mpoku

80pxtottenhamhotspurbadop0.png

Paul-Jose Mpoku is a 16 year old forward currently playing for English club Tottenham Hotspur. He is regarded by many as an extremely bright prospect as Tottenham had to fight off competition from Manchester United to sign him. He is currently on a 4 year deal at ***** Hart Lane. He is a youth international for Belgium. He has featured in their U16 and U17s squad. He is regarded as a player with pace and strength and will never give up on any ball. They youngster was born in DR Congo and he is of Congolese decent. He has been highly tipped for a bright future and may make an appearance or two for Spurs in the future. One to watch definitely.

Article from the daily mail

Tottenham's teenage signing Paul-Jose Mpoku says his move to England is a dream come true.

The Congo-born 16-year-old striker snubbed overtures from Manchester United to join Juande Ramos' Spurs from Standard Liege.

And he explained: "For sure, it was my dream, but going too fast wouldn't be good. I chose them because they were the very first team interested in me and they were the first to show me such interest.

"Besides, they signed me without making me pass a trial despite what has been said by some media.

"I really wanted to move to England because I have family there. Some of them are living 10 or 15 minutes from where I'm going to stay.

"And you don't have such opportunities twice in your life. Regarding the clubs that wanted me, I can just tell you that there were two English ones, three Spanish ones, two Dutch ones, three French ones and Partizan Belgrade."

The Belgium U17 international added: "I join Tottenham to play with players of my own age at the start.

"I may play with the superior category. But I'm not already thinking of the first team, I shouldn't go too quickly. I am thinking of improving a bit more and then I will think about the 'A' team in two or three years.

"I have plenty of time because I have signed a four-year contract with the club. But my goal was to succeed in England and I will fight to achieve the dream I had as a kid!"

Sergio Tejera

160pxchelseacrestsvgoh7.png

Sergio Tejera is a 17 year old winger currently playing the reserves for Chelsea. He is left footed and pacey. He glides through defenses and is considered a major prospect for the future of Chelsea. Chelsea were able to acquire his services by beating the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Tottenham Hotsperms. He is of Spainsh decent and was a regular for the Spanish U17 team. He has now been upgraded to the U18 Spain squad. He first began his footballing career at Espanyol. His potential was soon realised and luckily Chelsea pounced. It will be difficult to break into the Chelsea squad but i'm sure he has the skill and potential to break through just like Miroslav Stoch

Profile on Chelsea.com

A Spanish Under 18 international who is in his third year at Chelsea having joined from Espanyol.

Left-footed and a deadball specialist, Sergio began his time in London playing similarly to a classic 'No. 10' position, scoring three goals in the youth team last season beginning to feature in the reserves.

However his second year saw him frequently played more deeply in midfield, with benefit to his form and he was one of the stars of the FA Youth Cup campaign, scoring the Academy's Goal of the Season in the semi at Villa Park.

He had begun the season playing for his nation at the Under 17s World Cup and also reached the final there but was an unused sub as Spain lost to Nigeria.

Sergio played 9+1 reserve games in 2007/08 and 13 in the youth team with four goals scored.

At the end of the year he was part of the club's humanitarian Right to Play trip to the Middle East where he celebrated his 18th birthday.

Article from BBC News

Espanyol youth team midfielder Sergio Tejera says he has agreed a deal to join Chelsea at the start of next season, according to reports in Spain.

The Barcelona-born 15-year-old has impressed a number of clubs with his displays down the left-wing.

"It's very difficult for a foreign club to become interested in players that are so young," Spanish paper Marca quoted Tejera as saying on Tuesday.

"It's a great opportunity for me to develop as a player."

Marca reported that Chelsea were prepared to offer up to 250,000 Euros for the youngster, who is viewed as one of the Catalan club's most promising players.

Tejera said he hoped to emulate former Barcelona youth player Cesc Fabregas who switched to Arsenal three years ago when he was 15 and has now become a key part of the London club's midfield.

"He's an example to follow and it would be great if I could achieve what he has achieved," he said.

Everywhere he has been his youth coaches have described him as a wonderkid. He is tipped by many to have an extremely bright future and see fisrt team action very soon. Despite his young age he has had a very jam packed youth career. He first started off his youth career at WSV Wendschott. He left them to pursue a larger team and he found that in VFL Wolfsburg. He thought that the only way to further his career was to move to England so he did that and ended up at Bolton Wanderers. He is yet to make a first team appearance for VFL Wolfsburg this season. He is already a German youth international. He was a regular German U17 international and now has made the move up to the U18s. But because of recent good performances he is now playing for the U19 squad

He has yet to play in the top flight, but I am sure he will make his mark in the Bundesliga."

Ahmad Khalil

alahliuaenewog3.png

Ahmad Khalil is a 17 year old striker currently playing for Al Ahli Dubai. He is small and strong and has been dubbed as the next Samuel Eto'o by many football experts. Right now he is plying his trade in Al Alhi but doesn't look like he will be staying there for long. Recently Goal.com did an article on this guy but i realised his potential a long time ago when he won the Asian young player of the year award. He broke into the Al Ahli team when he was 15 which is amazing. Right now he is playing for Al Ahli. He is already looking to make his full debut for Dubai at the age of 17. He is a regular at U19 level. He will move to Europe in the coming years i'm sure of it

Article on Goal

Not for nothing did this 17 year-old win the Asian Young Player of the Year. This is a player who helped put a smile back on the face of UAE football after what had been a poor year for the senior team. His performances at Asia’s Under-19 tournament were stellar and he is already in the national team but still, watch out for him at the Under-20 World Cup and you will see why he is the pride of a nation. Khalil, who broke into the Al Ahli team at the age of 15, is a pleasure to watch with great ball control, an ability to beat defenders and score - more than once, he has been compared to a certain Cameroon star playing for Barcelona.

Article from Gulf News

Dubai: The UAE and Al Ahli striker Ahmad Khalil was named AFC Young Player of the Year in the AFC annual awards held in Shanghai on Tuesday night.

Khalil, who is 17, played a significant role in UAE winning the AFC Under 19 championships, which were recently held in Saudi Arabia.

The gifted young player was named the championships MVP as well as the top goal scorer with four goals.

Khalil dedicated his award to his family.

He said: "It's a very good feeling to win this award and I want to present it to all my family members particularly to my mother and brother. This award is also an achievement for UAE football too."

Khalil got the nod ahead of Sherzodek Karimov of Uzbekistan and Lee Jong-ho of Korea Republic.

The AFC Young Player of the Year award completes a remarkable hat-trick for him after winning the MVP and top scorer awards.

But he said he was not about to rest on his laurels as the UAE head to the Fifa Under 20 World cup as Asian champions.

He said: "My next goal is the World cup next year. I want to score more goals. Do not worry we will do our best."

Ahmad Khalil broke into Al Ahli senior team when he was just 15. He played for the UAE at Under 16 and now with the Under 19 levels.

Rabiu Ibrahim

150pxsportingclubedeporrp7.png

Rabiu Ibraham is a 17 year old attacking midfielder currently playing for Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon. He is short rapid midfielder and has already drawn comparisons with Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola and Nigerian legend Jay Jay Okocha. His career started off with Nigerian side Gateway FC. After performing well for them he was selected to play in the U17 FIFA World Youth Championship. After playing really well for Nigeria he caught the eye of Sporting Lisbon scouts thus bringing him to the club. Lisbon fought other clubs for his signature. At the end of the day he moved to the club because of the way they brought up players from their youth academy. Rumour has it that he may even star for Nigeria in the 2010 World Cup which would be amazing for a player like himself. He has already been called up to the senior Nigeria squad but is yet to play.

Article from Goal.com

A top source informed Goal.com that Shaibu Amodu, the Nigeria coach, highly rates Sporting's Rabiu Ibrahim, who was an integral member of the country's team that won the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Korea last year.

"Amodu is really keen on including Rabiu Ibrahim in his World Cup plans. He has spoken very highly of the youngster particularly as the Super Eagles are still in need of more creativity in the midfield and this boy can provide this," said a top NFF official.

"Amodu has submitted his report for the second round of qualifiers. In the report he has promised to submit a new list of 50 players he will be looking at for the final qualifying tournament in March."

Ibrahim's team-mate in the Under-17 team, Lukman Haruna, has already been part of the Eagles squad in the previous round of the qualifying series.

A former playmaker of Gateway FC of Abeokuta, Ibrahim was also called up by the full international team for training camp prior to the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations but stayed away because of a groin injury.

He is now bound for the African Youth Championship in Rwanda next

Bartosz Salamon

120pxbresciacalciove9.png

Bartosz Salamon is a 17 year old Centre Midfielder currently playing for Serie B team Brescia Calcio. He is pretty much a carbon copy of Marek Hamsik with the same build and Skill. This has led to comparsions with Marek Hamsik regarding his style of play. He first started off his youth footballing career with Polish giants Lech Poznan but Brecia soon realised his talent and snapped him up for a minimal price. He currently playing in the Polish U19 team but has also represented the U16s, U17s and U18s. Despite being 17 and only playing a handful of first team games for Brescia he has already been linked with many of Europe's top clubs like Chelsea, West Ham etc. A move to West will probably be the more likely as West Ham's sporting director Nani knows Salamon well back from his Brescia days. This season Bartosz Salamon has appeared 3 times for Brescia coming on once as a sub and starting 3 times. Has potential to reach Hamsik's level.

West Ham linked with Salamon

Skysports.com understands West Ham have handed a trial to Brescia midfielder Bartosz Salamon.

Salamon is well know to Hammers technical director Gianluca Nani who is aware of him from his time at Brescia.

The 17-year-old has already broken into the Brescia first team after joining the club from Lech Poznan in 2007.

Salamon is highly regarded and the likes of Chelsea and Real Madrid have been credited with an interest in his services in the past.

Hammers boss Gianfranco Zola is keen to bolster his squad and he will cast an eye over Salamon in training before deciding whether or not to pursue his interest in the midfielder.

Nani will be hoping to use his contacts at Brescia to help West Ham seal a deal for Salamon if Zola does opt to try and bring the Pole to Upton Park

He has bags of skill as is shown on the video below and he is highly regarded as one of the brightest starlets in Polish football. He kicked off his career with Bosnian club FK Sarajevo and spent most of his youth career and senior time their before being picked up by Polish giants Lech Poznan. He has represented Bosnia at nearly every level. He is currently representing Bosnia U19s. He is the captain and has played 9 times for them in total scoring 7 goals. Remarkably he has already featured for the Bosnian senior team against Azerbaijan which is a great achievement for an 18 year old. He later made another appearance for the Bosnian national team. David Alaba

David Alaba is a 16 year old left winger currently under contract at German giants Bayern Munchen. This kid is regarded as Austria's brightest talent but he also has the option of playing for Germany. He is the youngest player to ever feature for Austria Wien at 15 years old in a friendly . His first club was SV Aspern but then his father realised that he had great footballing talent and enrolled him in the Austria Wien youth department which ended up being a great move for the youngster. He then moved to Bayern in a controversial deal which saw Austria Wien get little money for him. This move has proved to be great for the youngster as he has featured in every single minute for the Bayern Munich U19s scoring 3 goals. Despite being 16 he is an ever present figure in the Austrian U17 squad playing over 17 matches for them. Looks like a great future talent and the fact that he is only 16 and playing constantly for the Bayern Munchen U19s shows that he is destined for greatness.

Re: Youth around the world.

Arnaud Souquet

150pxlilleosc.png

Arnaud Souquet is a 17 year old French central midfielder currently playing for French club Lille. He is a fairly robust character and moves around the pitch very well. He started off his youth career at his local club CO Vincennois. This is the same club whom has produced the likes of Yacine Brahimi and Blaise Matuidi. He soon left the club for Lyon and was straight away thrusted into into their reserve team side at the ripe age of 16 years. Since then he has come leaps and bounds and has eventually made it into the Lille first team line up.

His first match for Lille came in the 5-1 thrashing in the Europa league against Czech side Slavia Prague. He played the full 90 minutes in that match. He played a very impressive game and picked up a goal in the 88th minute. He has since only playing in one league game since and that was against Rennes. He started the match and played 45 minutes. Ever since the return of some midfield players he has been dropped back to the bench. Arnaud Souquet is also apart of the French U-19 squad, he represented France at the U-17 world cup.

Arnaud Souquet is currently not on the database but hopefully with a couple more appearances added to his name he can get added. He is a great talent and really come 2 years time i fully expect him to be starting in the Lille first team.
