However Man City Manager said: "Im Hoping with these three new signings we can push for first spot, and if you think they are the only ones coming in, you can think again." Woodward also added that he will do everything he can to bring Frank Ribery to the club, but must first prize Ribery away from the hands of Liverpool, who placed a bid for him today. The 3 players being Andrei Arshavin, Marek Hamsik and Alessandro Del Piero. Arshavin, Hamsik, and Del Piero all completed their Medical last night. Hamsik, was signed for 2.2M + Tal ben Haim & Gelson Fernandes. Arshavin was signed for 3.1M + Vincent Kompany & Wayne Bridge. Del Piero was signed for a reported 7Million. City boss, Woodward has also added he has placed a bid for Sulley Ali Muntari. He expects Muntari to be in Manchester by the end of tonight. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Shaleum Logan was loaned out to Cheltenham, Kelvin Etuhu to Shrewsbury Town, Ched Evans to Milton Keynes Dons, and Daniel Sturridge joins Etuhu at Shrewsbury. Woodward had this to say about the players loaned out.. "Ive loaned them out to the lower league clubs, to gain more experience. If they can gain experience in every league of the english leagues then they will become better players, and they can feed of the veterans at the clubs they were loaned out to."Woodward also added, Danny Mills & Dietmar Hamann were both sold. He also Added hes on the verge of hijacking Fulhams bid to sign Marcos Senna. "Theirs no way, with the resources we have that we are going to let a player such as Marcos Senna, slip away from our grasp." Woodward also added that he missed out on Kaka and Ribery as rumour has it, Woodward never wanted them, and the board tried to get him to sign them but he refused.. Senna Said: "I dont want to go to Man City to earn Millions, a club like Fulham is where i want to finish off my Career". Woodward could not believe it, as Muntari chose Hull instead of Man City. Now Woodward has pointed out that he will again go to purchase Marcos Senna. The Man City Board say they will do everything they can to lure Senna to Manchester, despite him saying he will not come to Manchester, but it is ever so likely that the Man City Board will offer him something that he cannot refuse. However for these players it seems Manchester City are getting tough competition from Fulham, Bolton & Middelsborough. Woodward, who admitted City are short at the back said he really needs the signature of Marquez, and is prepared to splash out. The same implys for Simao and Marcos Senna. Just hours before the press conference, Benjani had completed his medical, and should get games at Hull, and the Man City Faithful wish all the best to him. More to come on Man City.. Man city boss, had this to say: "Im delighted that we managed to sign these two. They will add much needed experience to our team, and with Robinho and Simao down the wings, we look like a team, that even the top 4 should be worried about." Woodward also added that the bid for Rafael Marquez has been accepted by Barcelona. He is yet to complete his medical. Marcos Senna completes his medical Simao expects success. Fulham lined up with the traditional 4-4-2 formation, and Man City played the countering 3-5-2 as expected. After just 5 minutes Massimo AMBROSINI poked the ball past Joe Hart to put Fulham 1-0 Up. After the goal went in Man City started to control the game. Sabrosa SIMAO came closest for city to equalising, after he hit the cross bar. However Man City could not make their possession tell, and up popped Luca TONI on 43 minutes and he skillfully went round the keeper and slid the ball into the back of the net. Half time = Man City 0 - 2 Fulham. It took Man City until the 70th minute to pull one back. Man City Flop Jo came up with the goods scoring twice on the 70th & 79th Minute. Man City show their resilience in the Transfer Market by fending of Liverpool to get the signature of Heinze. Man City boss, Woodwardo still believes their are more players to follow. It is believed Woodwardo today lodged a bid for Racing Santander's highly talented centre back Ezequiel Garay. Loan bids for Ivanovic, Itandje & Diego are yet to be accepted. An impressive performance in a friendly match against Sunderland which ended 6-0 to Manchester City as Sunderland were simply out-classed by Manchester City's Second string team. Just three days after that result, Manchester City had to play Sunderland again, only this time in the league. Manchester City wanted to put things right, and Woodwardo shuffled the team about and came out as 1-0 Winners. And finally just a day after playing Sunderland, Manchester City host Charlton in a friendly Match. Again Woodwardo played his second string team and gave players such as the young Daniel Sturridge, Osbourne, Davies and the recently transfer listed Glauber. Woodwardo again experimented by shuffling the team around, playing yet again, a different formation, and different playing styles, and they still came out as 2-0 Winners. Next time! Woodwardo new he was short on cash and needed some back up in defence and other positions, so he was put into action. Woodwardo who now has established a good relationship with the Aston Villa manager brought in Curtis Davies, Isaiah Osbourne and Craig Gardner, all on loan. Both of them join Hamann, Benjani, Mills, Ball, Onuoha and Bellamy as the latest players to leave Manchester under Woodwardo's era. Jo who left to go back to his home country Brazil will now play For Sao Paulo as he was very unhappy at Manchester, and leaves for 16.1 Million.
