Re: Official Russian Premier League '09 Thread

Hi Ben

I started a thread on Grigalava on FK Moskva. He's been ever present since replacing Da Costa Goore early on in FK's game agast Saturn just under a month ago. I can't seem find out anything about Da Costa Goore's injury. Do you know what is wrong with him & how long he may be out for? Any view on Grigalava? He must be doing something right, they haven't lost a league game when he has played & only narrowly went out of the cup to Rubin.

Cheers Dave

(begin crickets' sound)

Unfortunately this thread and the Ukrainian thread (which has a lot of fantastic players) have been D-E-A-D for the past month... Come on...No love for the Eastern Bloc ? :) There has to be someone out there with at least an affinity to the prisiadka dance or a nostalgic fondness for CCCP monkeys in space..!

If anyone's still out there.... would love some insight into my questions on previous posts and also would love to know if they have any insight into why Krasic @ CSKA hasn't played in a while...

Thx.

Krasic is injured with a pulled leg muscle. He shouldn't be out for too long but hes missed the last 3 games or so. Should be back soon enough.

My appologies for the lack of updates recently. I've now finished part 1 of my Maths GCSE so now have more time to answer.

Hello BenReado' date='

I absolutely love your thread, and have benefited greatly from closely following your posts.

I do have a question though. Stats show that he has only played 2 games out of the 4 Russian Premier League games this season so far. Has he been injured or has he been replaced on the starting XI by Kim? If I'm not too far off, wasn't Kim the player that Radek Sirl replaced last season?

Hope you don't mind another question. How has he fared so far with the 2 league games? Has he performed well in the UEFA Champions League games and UEFA cup games prior to Zenit's eliminations in both competitions?

Thank you very much![/quote']

Hi, Kim has displaced Sirl due to performances. Kim is better defensively and just as good going forward. Kim has done a good job so far.

Ben ~

A couple of CSKA questions and another...

  • What are your thoughts on CSKA's Dani Carvalho (88) & Anton Grigoriev (87) ? Do you think that the respective ratings for each have peaked ? Zico doesn't seem to rate Grigoriev at all right now. What changed between this year and last year' date=' that makes it harder for Dani Carvalho to get his minutes...? Seems like it was only a couple of years ago, where he was being touted as one of the best of the young Brazilian midfielders.
[*']Can you compare CSKA's Krasic & Lokomotiv's Bilyaletdinov ? I know they are opposite sides of the field, but is one a bigger talent than the other...?
  • Also I know it's early in the season still, but (other than Schennikov & Makeev) are any players significantly surprising you either to the upside or to the downside ?

Thx.

Neither Carvalho or Grigoriev are at their best atm. Carvalho is starting to get better again, and has started ahead of Dzagoev a few times this season, but he still isn't near to his form in the 2005 season. Grigoriev isn't trusted at left back, and is about 4th choice at center back so isn't getting a chance.

Krasic > Bilyaletdinov

Denisov (71) is definitely making an impact on me. I think he's going to be very good in the future.

Maazou also is playing fantastically on the wing, due to Krasic's injury. I was under the impression he was a CF but he is doing very well out wide, and has scored 3 goals and got 2 assists. He should be rising.

Zenit's Ionov (77) is definetely one for the future. Spartak's Dzyuba (84) is also having a good season.

Someone under performing though is Zenit's Danny. Who isn't playing anywhere near what is expected from a $30 signing.

Just found this thread...good stuff.

I'm getting a few offers for MAMAEV' date=' Pavel at the minute, any real reason why?? Current offer is £10M, i could then buy Glushakov with the money, that worthwhile?? Or just keep Mamaev and buy Glushakov aswell??

As i'm CSKA i like to keep/get the best Russian players i can so i'm reluctant to let Mamaev go if he has potential to be future Russian international.[/quote']

Mamaev is doing very well for CSKA in the holding role, and will rise to 87/88. Glushakov is also doing very well and will rise to 87, so base the decision on whether you want an attacking or defensive midfielder.

Any thoughts on Zotov. I picked him up and I was wondering if he would get any game time' date=' or is he a player for the cups?[/quote']

I haven't seen enough of him to comment yet. Sorry.

I'm not sure how long Da Costa is out for, Sorry. I haven't watched Moskva play that much this season, but I know they are doing well. Grigalava's championat rating is 5.33, which tbh is quite low, and below the majority of his team. But he is young and has time to improve.

Could anyone tell me how Raphael Alex is doing at Spartak' date=' please? :)[/quote']

Alex has made a very, very good start to life in Russia, and has got a rating of 6.22, which is very high. He's also scored 2 goals and got 3 assists.

Rating predictions starting... TODAY

Re: Official Russian Premier League '09 Thread

Thanks for updating and beginning to add ratings... Good stuff.

Aleksei Berezutsky's drop is interesting. What I can't figure out was did he straight-up lose his job to Odiah or is he taking his time coming back from an injury ? Any insight is welcome... Thanks

Aleksey is fit, but for some reason Zico doesn't trust him at right back. I don't know why, as he's the best CSKA have got there. It's a strange decision. I don't expect Odiah to keep the place at right back, because to be frank he isn't a good player. I think Semberas is most likely to take over at right back, although why Zico dropped Aleksei is beyond me.

Re: Official Russian Premier League '09 Thread

I would have thought Necid would have gotten a better rise than 1. I think he could have risen to 86 if he was reviewed with the Czech teams. Thanks for the good work on this thread.

Thanks for pointing that out, as I forgot to take into account his games for his previous club. Looking at those statistics I think he will get a rise to 86.

Re: Official Russian Premier League '09 Thread

Forgot to mention in my earlier post, but I can confirm after speaking to the SM researcher, that SM are aware of championat and their ratings will be used to assist the researchers whilst reviewing Russia. Which is good news :).

I'm also hoping that the Russian league 2 will be added to the database, although this isn't by any means definite.

I'll hopefully finish the rating predictions by the end of next week, to give every about a week to make last minute decisions on who to sell/buy.

Has Mischenko stopped playing?

Yeah. He hasn't played since he got his red card on game 5 of the season (ironically Terek haven't won since). He hasn't been on the bench since then either. I'm guessing he's picked up an injury, as he was doing well before that. He's definitely one to keep hold of though, and he's still on the books at Rubin, which means they see potential in him.

Re: Official Russian Premier League '09 Thread

Zenit lose midfielder Danny until 2010

FC Zenit St. Petersburg will be without Portuguese international attacking midfielder Danny for the rest of the year after he tore cruciate ligaments in his knee at the end of last week, with coach **** Advocaat concluding: "This is a huge blow for us."

Long-term absence

Venezuelan-born Danny, 25, picked up the injury in training and flew to Germany for tests. Doctors concluded that he would be out of action for the rest of the Russian Premier-Liga season, with Zenit lying fifth. He is also unlikely to play for the 2007/08 UEFA Cup winners in the inaugural UEFA Europa League in the autumn. "This is a huge blow for us," said Advocaat of the injury to the club's €30m record signing. "It is the equivalent to Manchester United losing Cristiano Ronaldo or CSKA Moskva losing Vágner Love." The former CS Marítimo, Sporting Clube de Portugal and FC Dinamo Moskva player has scored once in eight games for Portugal, and played in eight top-flight games this season without registering.

Ouch:eek::o

Re: Official Russian Premier League '09 Thread

The injury to Miguel Danny is bad news :( but he's a great player and I'm sure he will make a full recovery and come back as strong as ever.

I was hoping he would be hitting 91 this season if he could continue to progress at Zenit but this injury will mean his rating can only go down from here, which is a blow. I'll be keeping hold of him though.

Re: Official Russian Premier League '09 Thread

Is Oleg Samsonov actually worth signing?

I swear he plays for a Russian Division 2 side?

Oleg plays is on loan at Khimini, who do play in the Russian Premier League, but it's looking like they'll be going down (at least if recent performances are anything to go by), but his proper club is Zenit . Samsonov started the season injured, but is now back fit and starting again. His performances haven't been bad, but they haven't hugely stood out despite the rest of Khimini's team looking very inexperienced. I think his current 86 rating is possibly a bit high, and I wouldn't rule out a drop to 85. Although he has the potential to go higher in the future.

Re: Official Russian Premier League '09 Thread

Would Danny atleast keep his 90 rating? Its not like hes playing bad.

Prior to his injury he wasn't playing brilliantly, in fact he's had his worse start to a season in a few years but he's probably just about done enough to keep him rating for this rating section. I'd think by the time he's fit again he'll be rated 89. So if he does drop this time, I doubt he'll drop next time, but if he doesn't drop this time, he most likely will drop next time.

Over the last few days Zenit have been linked with big name replacements such as Hleb, Quaresma, and Rossi.
