Re: Naoki Yamada-- JAPANESE PAUL SCHOLES!!

* UPDATE*

Didnt play against Kashiwa Reysol...

Not sure was it cos of injury or what... :(

urawa Red Diamonds.. Record this season so far... 10 wins 4 draws and 8 defeats.

Urawa are very low scorers with a goal rate of only 1.14 goals a game :o

They conecede more than they score with a rate of 1.23 goals a game conceded.

Of the 24 Squad players the average age is 25.59.. With Naoki only 19 ;)

*Update*

Urawa have won their last 2 games finally!!!

They beat Kawasaki Frontale 2-0

and Montedio Yamagata 4-1!!

Naoki didnt play in either and wasnt brought on either

still played 17 games as he has missed the last 7 games

Played 1143 mins out of a possible 2340 but had played 1143 out of 1530 before his injury or wherever he is now :o

may not be in for the rise i had hoped but maybe a +1 :D

anyone watch the J league??

Re: Naoki Yamada-- JAPANESE PAUL SCHOLES!!

Naoki is getting back into the first X1 now..he has started the last two games both times been subbed out after 68 and 59 mins......

Since the injury or whatever happened to him mid season he hasnt been starting all the games etc.

Before he "left" he had started 13 and subbed in 3 times from 16..... at the moment he has 15 starts and 5 subs from 31 games...with 1 goal..

His place in SA with Japan is looking increasilingly unlikely as he isnt playing a whole lot.. but the manager rates him very highly so he might bring him over :D

Re: Naoki Yamada-- JAPANESE PAUL SCHOLES!!

Naoki Finished the season with 15 starts and 5 sub in's totalling 1391 mins. He scored 1 goal. and 6 yellow cards!!

He has continued to play for Japan's International team but it is understood Naoki will miss the first of the new Japan season because on international duty against Yemen in a qualifier for the Asian Cup in 2011 he broke his right fibula :(

Japan midfielder Naoki Yamada is almost certain to miss the start of the season because of an injury to his right leg, it was learned Saturday.

Yamada suffered a broken fibula in Japan's 3-2 win away to Yemen in a qualifier for the 2011 Asian Cup last Wednesday and his club side Urawa Reds said on their official Website on Saturday that he would likely need around three months to make a full recovery.

Yamada was the victim of a reckless challenge and had to be substituted midway through the first half of the Group A Asian qualifier in Sanaa.

This could harm his WC chances of making the Japanes squad also.

A rise to 83 could be on the cards due to international call ups.

Re: Naoki Yamada-- JAPANESE PAUL SCHOLES!!

Naoki is still injured and will miss the world cup squad for Japan.

One young player who showed promise but will miss the cut this time due to injury is Naoki Yamada. The picture below shows why he has been out of the reckoning. This was during the match with Yemen in January, and there’s no date for his return yet, but he has potential for the future – there will be other opportunities for him I’m sure.

The picture is really bad also.

Some said 3 months but he still hasn't made any signs of a comeback. Guess we will have to wait and see.

It's still not looking very good for him as I also have read it could be anything upto 10-12 months :( I found a few more videos on him.

Some play by Naoki.^

His dream debut assist for the senior national team.

Some neat goals at youth level.^

Two goals when playing for the U.20's^

An amazing pass with the outside of the boot.
