Carling Cup

Thought I made one of these last year but couldn't find it, probably getting confused with the FA Cup :o

But anyway... I'll be hoping to update this with the latest rounds draw, results etc. :)

First round draw is this morning at 9.30 - with Newcastle and Middlesbrough having byes to the 2nd round as they were the 2 highest placed clubs from last season.

The next 35 clubs from last season's table - down to 13th placed Walsall in League 1 - are all seeded, and will be drawn against one of the remaining 35 sides. As usual the first round draw will be split into North and South with 17 northern pairings and 18 southern ones.

Will post it as soon as it's done ;)

Re: Carling Cup

Look on Goodson's face when we batter ye old Norwich will be priceless ;)

Ahahahaha. Although, whatever the result, it should be a good game to watch, with Yeovil trying to actually get somewhere in a competition, and Norwich, who will be striving for promotion this season.

I look forward to it.

What a difference 2 months can make :P

Anywho, thought I'd just get this started again seeing as it starts tonight with Darlington vs Leeds. Hopefully Windass gets a hat-trick :D

All other games are tomorrow, except for Coventry vs Hartlepool, Notts Forest vs Bradford and Macclesfield vs Leicester which are on Wednesday.

That could now be the funniest quote ever. :) How priorites have changed in the matter of a few days, and two! people have lost their season tickets, but gained alot of pride :) Me, George and Jenko thought you went off MSN at half-time too go and find a bridge :D

I'm saying all this, but I think Norwich will still be STRONG favourites for the match. If Bowditch doesn't overcome his shoulder injury he picked up at the weekend, I think it will be a very close match and one we could well lose.

Would make a change us getting somewhere in a compertition. We went out Round 1 in EVERYTHING last year :P

Lets hope it starts with the dirty scum Leeds losing. :)

Re: Carling Cup

The Rams play the Mighty Millers tonight at Don Valley, I don't know what team Cloughie is planning on putting out, but all I know is Shaun Barker and Dean Leacock are going to be on the bench tonight.

Heres to another long Carling Cup Run :)

COME ON YOU RAMS!
