Re: The Npower Championship 2010/11 Season

And yours wasn't cheap?

Swansea and Cardiff have always competed in the English leagues. Preventing them from competing at the highest level all of a sudden is ridiculous.

And I daresay that there's a hell of a lot of people in opposition from the beginning. Mine wasn't cheap - I gave my opinion, rather than stoop to the level of mud slinging.

All I hope is that if a Welsh club gets up, they go straight back down.

Where were you a few days ago???

Could have done with you backing me up as I made roughly the same point :o

Well I was, uh, inebriated for much of the weekend, so you wouldn't have got much outta me anyway. :o

Haha so was I :P

No, I basically said what you said, (in nicer terms I think, rather than so blatent ;)) and got a rollocking for it from the Cardiff and Swansea supporters :)

Got compared to not liking a Chinese person because they're Chinese and all sorts! Stand by what I said though, it's only an opinion :)

Oh and Matty agrees too :P Couldn't have agreed a few days ago? ;)

Wow you're good :P

Swansea being compared to Barcelona on the BBC Live Feed thing

And they're 2-0. Torn between not wanting a Welsh team to go up and not wanting Forest to go up...

Doesn't look like I'll have to decide anyway :o

Re: The Npower Championship 2010/11 Season

Firstly, what a game!!!!

Congratulations Swansea.

Hopefully Cardiff make it an all Welsh playoff final tomorrow but even if they don't, I will want Swansea to beat Reading in the final. It would be amazing to see a Welsh team in the Premiership in my lifetime. Plus, how far the swans have come on over 10 years is quite simply amazing! Obviously I hope Cardiff do both Reading and Swansea. :D

Don't you remember Swansea top of the league - or are you just to young?

Re: The Npower Championship 2010/11 Season

Forest are an embarrassment.

I watched the last 10 minutes and counted 3 seperate pathetic dives, saw the Forest assistant screaming in the 4th official's face and watched several players surround the ref to try and convince him that a brilliant block from point-blank range was handball.

If Forest spent a bit more time trying to score goals and a bit less time trying to win free-kicks and get their opponent's in trouble, they might be a bit more successful. They're capable of playing some good football, but that's overshadowed by their pathetic attempts at feigning injury and whinging at anything and everything.

If Forest have any sense they'll get rid of Davies now. I used to have respect for Forest, but now they've just become an embarrassment. Nothing is ever their fault, from the players to the manager they're constantly moaning, they're making petty attempts at drawing fouls. They've lost any credibility they had.

The best footballing team in the division are through, and deservedly so. Well done Swansea, I seriously wouldn't mind seeing them in the Premiership. A good side with a good manager who play football in the right way.

Job Done. :)

Oh, I didn't see the discussion before hand.

It's your and quite alot of English-persons opinions. Your entitled to that. It's one if the reasons I don't mind if Swansea go up.

Both Swansea and Cardiff, and even Newport have been in the 'English' league for more than half a century and have rightfully worked their way through the tiers. They haven't just been stuck in there at the highest level.

We both deserve to be where we are! I don't care if anyone disagrees either. My feelings won't change.

Again, congratulations Swansea.

Are you joking?

Have you seen QPR play this season?

Or are you just being deliberately pedantic?

Nope. QPR have been two different animals with and without Taarabt this season, and with him they're astounding.

When Warnock gave him a free role he was astounding, and his team's performances were on another level. ;)

Re: The Npower Championship 2010/11 Season

Congratulations to Swansea. They have looked like the best footballing team in the playoffs so far and they fully deserve their place. I have to say that football match was incredible and if the playoff final is also like that, I will be very pleased. The last 20 minutes had to be one of the most "off your seat" action packed periods of a game I have seen, Forest were very close to nicking a draw, but Swansea stood their ground well.

As a Cardiff fan, I have to say I'm pleased to see Swansea get to the final, however it would be disastrous if we dont win tomorrow, we have to focus on beating Reading and not set our sights too high yet.

For the second time, congratulations Swansea, we hope to see you at Wembley!! :D

Re: The Npower Championship 2010/11 Season

What a absolutely brilliant game. Forest were somewhat unlucky, but Swansea fully deserved the win, remember they played 88-minutes with ten men in the first leg. Loved Brendan Rodgers Mourinho-esc touchline run.

Forest had there chances and were denied by the woodwork or simply just didn't take there chances, Swansea did on the other-hand. Well done Swansea, all this 'they shouldn't come up cause they're Welsh' talk should be scraped now, i am guilty for saying it before but if they bring that to the Premiership ill welcome them with open arms. Fabulous!

Swansea are far better "footballing" team than QPR.

QPR have a very solid defensive base, with one creative player. They don't pass the ball like Swansea do, they don't carve teams apart like Swansea do, they don't play football as entertaining as Swansea do.

I can't believe I'm arguing on Aidan's behalf, but Swansea are far and away the best footballing team in this division, much like Arsenal are the best footballing team in the Premiership.

Your not really arguing for Aidan only. Your arguing for supporters of the Championship on the whole. I'd be very suprised if any fan of a team in the division didn't agree that Swansea play the best football. Even Cardiff fans.

Alright lads.

Anyway i'll start off with this one:

Yeah' date=' nice to see QPR go up...[/quote']

LOL, LOL, LOL, LOL, LOL :D

No wait, oh my days. Seriously, SERIOUSLY. Are you off your head, oh my days.

I've got no problem in you calling Swansea not the best footballing side in the division, even though we are but QPR!!!! QPR!!!!. Jesus christ, typical Warnock hoofball with Taarbat occasionaly scoring goals.

I'm not even being funny, seems a bit harsh but get off this thread, it's clear you haven't watched a game of the Championship this season.

Firstly' date=' what a game!!!!

Well 10 years ago, we were just trying to stay afloat, day by day. When i started watching us 8 years ago in the 2002/2003 season, we survived relegation to the Conference on the final day. This season we have the chance to get to the Premiership at Wembley.

Don't you remember Swansea top of the league - or are you just to young?

I'm far too young' date=' but i'm obviously aware of it. 81/82, end of the golden years. Finished 6th, could have easily won the league but went down the next season. Only two seasons in the top flight unfortunatly, but hopefully we can get a 3rd.

Well thanks Seft. I hate the Forest side: Gunter, Earnshaw, Anderson. The fans were good today but a bunch of cheats, McGugan and Camp especially.

Congratulations to Swansea. They have looked like the best footballing team in the playoffs so far and they fully deserve their place. "off your seat", well for me i didn't need a seat. Great atmosphere, all around the ground today.

Got to admit though they were going to score, but i think we deserved to win the game. To be honest, i'd rather play Reading in the final but only to avoid massive trouble between fans.

What a absolutely brilliant game. Forest were somewhat unlucky' date=' but Swansea fully deserved the win, remember they played 88-minutes with ten men in the first leg. Loved Brendan Rodgers Mourinho-esc touchline run.

Did he do it? Didn't see it, got to see it. But i saw Pratley over there, i was too busy going mental. But yes, we had 10 men, and managed to draw 0-0 away from home. Forest never looked good enough to keep a clean sheet with 11 men away from home, nevermind 10.

Thanks Dan :)

Forest should use Viagra' date=' help them get past a semi!

Well done Swansea, one more game, hope you do it! Up The Jacks![/quote']

We'll miss you on this thread, even if you haven't been on the forum for long with those comments :P

Up the Jacks! :D

Congrats to Swansea on their win tonight' date=' they deserved it

Shame Earnshaw's shot at the end didn't go in, i love play-off penalty shoot-outs!![/quote']

What a shame :P I hate penalty shoot-outs.

:D :D :D :D :D

QUE SERA SERA, WHATEVER WILL BE, WE'RE GOING TO WEMBLEY QUE SERA SERA!!!!!!!

WEMBLEY, WEMBLEY, WE'RE THE FAMOUS SWANSEA CITY AND WE'RE GOING TO WEMBLEY!!!!!

What a birthday!

Re: The Npower Championship 2010/11 Season

Incase you missed the goals:

1-0 Swansea, Leon Britton goal (28')

7RzieOa_jH0

2-0 Swansea, Stephen Dobbie goal (33')

7KxRkHeK0HQ

2-1 Swansea, Robert Earnshaw goal (80')

BdEttbVYV2A

3-1 Swansea, Darren Pratley goal (90+3')

L7qxY932mlg

Struggling to decide which one of those is the best goal, even Earnshaw's was very good. But the rareness of a Leon Britton goal gives my vote to Leon!!! Leon!!! Leon!!!!
