English Championship 1917, is fair to say an old English Championship in comparison to the many English Championships being made on a regular basis on SoccerManager. Me, and my brother Mr.MCFC feel that Old EC's are more competitive and unique so we have both taken a team which we hope to improve and gain success with. I have taken Everton, with Mr.MCFC taking Newcastle United. We will be posting regular match reports and transfer news on this thread, and we have no problem with anybody joining in on the fun. Except you have to be committed and be an experienced forumer who will keep the club for a sustainable amount of time. Thanks, for reading and i hope you enjoy reading our match reports.

Thanks, Dale and Adam Selby :)

Portsmouth vs Everton

(Mikel Arteta 9 Minute)

(Aiyegbeni Yakubu 27,80 Minute)

(David Nugent 59 Minute)

It was Dale Selby's first time as manager of Everton and they start off with a 3 : 1 win against Portsmouth. At Fratton Park tonight there was an attendance of 19,332 which could've helped Everton in there 3 :1 win.

In the first ten minutes of the match tonight Dale Selby's Everton were annihilating unmanaged team Portsmouth and on the 10th minute Everton went into the lead with a fabulous corner from Malian strkier Frederic Kanoute helps Mikel Arteta head the ball into the net making it 1 : 0 to Everton on Dale Selby's managerial debut.

Not long later Aiyegbeni Yakubu scores on the 27th minute from a 20 yard free - kick after Glen Johnson tackled Tim Cahill and when English referee Barry Knight awarded Glen Johnson yellow card. Now it's Everton 2 : 0 Portsmouth .

Halftime - Everton 2 : 0 Portsmouth

But 15 minutes after halftime Portsmouth come out of the dressing room looking fit as ever and making his debut for the club David Nugent scores on the 59th minute for Portsmouth after poor connection from Everton's defenders!! Letting Portsmouth come back into the game.

But Aiyegbeni Yakubu wraps up the score as 3 : 1 to Everton by scoring a second goal of the night for Everton after Frederick Kanoute crosses in a long ball to help the nigerian header the ball in and make it 3 : 1 Everton!

There are reports of transfer news at Everton with link speculations with Felipe Melo and Alberto Gilardino moving to Merseyside. But there are links with a few players leaving Everton including : Javier Mascherano and Gonzalo Higuain up on the transfer list.
