Neller's Barcelona win the Kevche Shield!!

Arsenal 1 - 3 Barcelona

At a packed Wembley stadium in front of 90,000,Barcelona under the guidance of manager Alan "crazy bones" Neller lifted the Kevche Shield.

Two heavy weight sides contested this epic battle,Arsenal under Mark Stapleys management and Nellers Barca. Both teams and managers were no strangers to sucess in the Kevche setup but there could only be one winner and this was Nellers night.

Both sides lined up in an attacking formation and it was Barcelona who struck first when Nicolas Anelka headed a goal from a great cross in the 19th min.

Arsenal dug deep and defended well and the first half ended at 1-0 to Barca.

In the second half Barca stretched their lead when on 54mins Deco rifled in a right foot shot.

Arsenal then fired all they could at the Barca defence and were rewarded on 80mins when Aparecido da GILBERTO SILVA fired a low shot to the bottom corner to make it 2-1.

The Arsenal fans had hardly enough time to cheer what looked like a comeback when straight from the kick off Anelka sealed Barca's win with a powerful shot, game over!!

Congrats to Alan on a great win:) :)

Luizao fronts Newcastle revolution for title push!

Newcastle United have announced in a recent press conference that they have secured the signings of Benfica centre back Luizao and Arsenal centre midfielder Bernd Schneider.

benfica_luisao.jpg

"I am really excited to be joining a club with aspirations of a title win, I am really looking forward to helping Newcastle win the title this season, and especially working with boss Paul"

_41847910_schneider_getty300.jpg

"Joining Newcastle is a dream come true for me. I have had a good time at Arsenal, but the amount of time I spent on the bench called for a new team for me. Newcastle answered my call, and I hope to help them to the title, starting with a win against my former club"

Newcastle can also further reveal that Roma midfielder John Arne Riise will be joining the team at St James Park, the transfer scheduled to be completed tomorrow.

The Chelsea Dagger

ARE CHELSEAS HIGH PROFILERS ON THERE WAY OUT OF THE BRIDGE

Lampard and Ballack may be dumped for not performing

frank_lampard_chelsea_1.jpgballack_michael_cfc_profile_2006.jpg

New Athletico Madrid manager Sam Wainwright has put in a very tempting offer for midfielder Frank Lampard. The offer reported to be £31million is giving LS a dilemma as too whether to offload the star and use the money to bring in a couple of quality signings.

Lampard has appeared 74times and pitched in with only 09goals in that time since the setup began. A decision is believed to be made on July 15th but this offer is seriously being considered.

Manchester United have also expressed interest in one of Chelseas stars. Michael Ballack has failed to shine this season with a rating of under seven. No goals this season has also prompted LS to possibly sell in favour of a scoring midfielder. Uniteds offer of £15million is good but with Forlan and Saha added to the equation this deal may not be taken.

LS expained that he already had a forward line consisting of five quality players and felt two more even as good as Forlan and Saha would overcrowd the positions. Hopefully Ash will negotiate on a couple of other players, possibly a midfielder and a defender but i will put an offer to him soon and see what happens.

Both decisions to be made 15th July, stay tuned for more developments.

The champs move menacingly into top spot thanks to goals from their two prolific strikers,Fred opening the scoring with a thumping header before the main man Berbatov cooly chipped Casillas from nearly 25 yards out.Woody pulled one back for the men from Madrid but it wasnt to prove enough.

6 Games left and still 1 point between 4 clubs but having pulled back 10 points on Ashs fast fading Man u and Valencia shockin the football world by appointing a manager with Jinkys track record the title could indeed be stayin at the Lane this season.B)

After the game Wainwright said: "Even though we lost, I am still happy with the teams performance after playing, who I rate, as the best team in the league."

MK Dons 1 - 0 Cork City

Another 1 - 0 win for MK Dons but that's good enough to put them in a respectable position.

The unmanaged Cork side had Onur Kaya sent off after just 6mins, giving MK a big advantage.

However, they looked as though they weren't going to take advantage until 72mins, when John-Paul McGovern scored the only goal of the game.

The Dons move up to 8th place.

Re: Kevche1963 -league for forumers-

leokeren has shown his disappointment with Aston villa's poor result at home. Aston villa drew with manager less Hibernian 1-1 last night. Niko kovac was the star of the show for a wrong reason. He scored from what virtually is the first kick of the game, seconds after kick off. However, not content with that, he decided to abuse the referee just 5 minutes after. Straight red card for him. hibernian then scored the equalizer to earn them a valuable point. This is villa's 2nd home draw in a row, and leokeren has every reason to be unhappy with it. If they won this game, they would go 1st, instead they are left in the 2nd position, 2 points apart from the league leader, with only 4 matches to go. However that 1 point they earned, is enough to rule 4th placed internazionale from the race for promotion. With 4 matches to go, only juventus, villa, and recently unmanaged wolves are left in the race for the 2 promotion spots. Apparently wolves manager gave up too early :D

LAMPARD STAYS BUT BALLACK MOVE STILL UP IN AIR

lampardvcity373.jpgballack-v-charlton373.jpg

Despite some very tempting offers for Frank Lampard with the main coming from Athletico Madrid, Chelsea chief Steve had too say no and decided to keep hold of his star midfielder. Probably one of the hardest decisions Steve has had to make at the helm of the glamour boys LS confessed that theres just nobody who could replace the England international had he of moved.

However, Michael Ballacks future at the club is still uncertain as the SMFA blocked the deal that would of seen him join Manchester United. The deal of £15,000,000 plus Zapatar and Heinze we imagine was deemed too much for the 30year old. Since the rejection manager Ash Carroll has not expressed any interest in pursueing the midfielder.

Chelsea also unveil a new signing this week with the arrival of Serbian Dejan Stankovich from Inter Milan. The midfielder cost £6,000,000 with Arjen Robben heading the other way. Stankovich plays left midfield but can also play as an attacking midfielder.

robbenvcity373.jpgDejan%20Stankovic.jpg

Steve is hoping Stankovich can inspire a late charge to try and make there season a little more respectable as they languish in mid table after a tough campaign. Making his debut last thursday against Tottenham he put in a good performance as Chelsea managaed a point with the league leaders.
