The Imps

Since taking over yesterday afternoon, Bowen has brought in 7 new fresh faces to the club. Bowen announced that all the players at the club were allowed to find new clubs. With £14.4M in the bank Bowen has moved quickly to sign a large number of young risers. In a statement off the Lincoln website Bowen explained the team isnt good enough and the league place shows that. The Imps currently sit 20th in Division 4!... but Bowen hopes next season will be the start of something special. Tonight Lincoln will play league leaders Norwich City, Bowen doesnt expect anything other than his players to show there fighting spirit and try and get something out of the game.

Liam O'Connor made it two wins on the trot with MK Dons after defeating relegation strugglers Shrewsbury Town. New signings Denis Glushakov and Thomas Vermaelen made debuts. Nothing interesting happened in the first half, MK Dons dominated but there was no cigar.

But whatever Liam told MK Dons at half time done the trick as they took the lead through Petter Bruer Hanssen after he slotted home with a cool finish. The Dons could have doubled the lead with Daniel Nordmark but he missed from five yards out. But the Dons did kill the game in the 66th minute when Kebba Ceesay finished from a bad clearence from the Shrewsbury defence. MK Dons pushed but couldn't get another goal, the win pushes MK Dons up to fifth and moves Shrewsbury down to 15th.

Brek Shea one of 6 players to have ratings increased

Lincolns transfer activety has been quite in the past few days which has shocked the footballing world. After Bowen took over on the 31st July 38 players have joined Lincoln and 10 have left, with 3 players set to leave today and tomorrow. Lincoln's transfer kitty is still healthy with £6.9M still left to spend. Bowen isnt likely to spend it all but rumours are that another bucnh are set to join in the next 5 days. Some of Lincoln's players have recieved player rating increases.

Brek Shea arrow-ne1.png5 (70-75)

Jed Zayner arrow-ne1.png3 (73-76)

Patrick Nyarko arrow-ne1.png3 (74-77)

Nana Attakora-Gyan arrow-ne1.png4 (72-76)

Chris Tierney arrow-ne1.png1 (75-76)

Dejan Jakovic arrow-ne1.png3 (75-78)

With the players getting rating increases Bowen has said that selecting his first XI on match days is hard because the team has so much talent. He also went onto say its also good for the players to have a little competition for places in the starting 11. Tonight Lincoln travel to Leyton Orient. There is 11 places seprating the teams but Bowen hopes tonight can see Lincoln win. The last time Lincoln won was 10 games ago, but Bowen hopes with fresh new blood in the squad results can change.

Report coming later :D
