Transfers

Newcastle have been rather busy on the transfer front over the past couple of weeks, with young German defender Holger BADSTUBER coming in from Bayern Munchen for £3.7m plus Haris VUCKIC. Next to arrive was Lucas HOYOS for £10k, he was brought in so Krul was allowed to leave in another deal.

Thomas ROGNE was next to be brought into St. James' Park for a small fee of £125k. Hunt has said that Rogne is one for the future, and will be in for a big rise of rating soon. The last player to join Newcastle and notable the most high profile signing was that of Silva NEYMAR from Santos, the deal saw Tim KRUL and Shola AMEOBI depart along with £600k. It is also rumoured that Hunt has had a bid accepted for another two exciting young talents in the footballing world.

Results

Since the last results update Newcastle have played 5 more games, in all competitions:

English Cup Quater-final: Reading 0-3 Newcastle United

League: Doncaster Rovers 0-2 Newcastle United

League: Newcastle United 4-1 Swansea City

English Shield Quater-final: Wolves 1-2 Newcastle United

League: Middlesbrough 0-1 Newcastle United.

These set of results leave Newcastle 13 points clear at the top of the Championship table, and the cup results mean that Hunt's side find themselves in two semi-final places against Watford (Cup) and Leicester City (Shield). Newcastle have still only lost 1 game all season, and Hunt hopes to maintain that record for as long as possible!

Newcastle reach FA Cup Final!

83_1200424529.gif0-5 52_1195026324.gif

Tonight Newcastle United played their first of two cup semi-finals. Tonights game came against fellow Championship club Watford at Vicarage Road. Everyone was anticipating a close game, but it turned out to be anything but that.

Newcastle opened the scoring when Brazilian striker Givanildo Vieira HULK curled the ball into the net from a well worked freekick. The scoring was then doubled just a few minutes later when Brazilian wonderkid, Silva NEYMAR bagged a beautiful goal on his debut for the Toon. Just 6 minutes after the second goal went in, the third went in with another South American getting in on the act of goal scoring, this time it was Ever BANEGA who made it 3-0 to Newcastle. At half-time the score was Watford 0-3 Newcastle United who basically had the game all but wrapped up.

And in the second half Newcastle came out guns blazing just as they were in the first half, with Givanildo Vieira HULK scoring his second goal of the game after an easy tap in, and everyone around the ground knew that goal was the one to send Newcastle to the final, but they weren't done yet with defender Dmytro CHYGRYNSKIY rounding off a fantastic win with a superb header. At full-time the score was Watford 0-5 Newcastle United.

This battering of Watford meant that Newcastle will face Premiership big boys Arsenal in the Final of the FA Cup at Wembley on 26th April. Next up for Newcastle is the league match against a tough Fulham side at Craven Cottage.

Transfers

Newcastle have once again gone all out in the transfer market over the last week bringing in even more fresh talent to St. James' Park like they have done all the way throughout the season. It has been widely documented that Newcastle have been looking for an up and coming RB and they finally ended their search after the signing of Stanislav MANOLEV from Dutch side PSV. The deal saw £200k and Danny SIMPSON head to Holland. The next player to arrive after Manolev was free agent Fabio BORINI for a fee of £225k.

The next deal that was completed was that of FC Porto defender Pereira Roque MAICON. The deal that was agreed saw Zurab KHIZANISHVILI and £1.2m head to Portugal. The last player to arrive at St. James' Park in the last couple of days was hot prospect striker Tomas NECID from CSKA Moskva. This deal came at a cost though, as young striker Marko ARNAUTOVIC left the club along with £1.4m. But it is widely believed that Arnautovic will be resigned by The Toon next season.

Result

Last night Newcastle faced Fulham where one goal from Radamel FALCAO was enough to secure all three points for the Toon away at Craven Cottage. This win for Newcastle means that they lead the Coca-Cola Championship table by a healthy 11 points.

Newcastle's season is going fantastically well, with their lead in the league, and being in the FA Cup final, they also have a semi-final tie against Leicester in the Carling Cup to look forward to as well. All is well at St. James' Park.

Update of the latest goings ons

Missed out on getting to the English shield final a few days ago after losing 3-0 on penalties to Leicester, which was really surprising as I fielded a very strong team. But suppose the mighty Newcastle can't win them all. Got the English cup final coming up to look forward to anyway, and I'm well clear at the top of the league.

Newcastle gain Promotion already!

Promotion.jpg

Tonight Newcastle United faced Leicester City, and knew that a win at the Walkers Stadium would gain them automatic promotion back to the promise land of the Barclays Premier League with the likes of Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal.

They did just that with a 4-1 win. Alexis Sanchez, Pablo Hernandez and two goals from Tomas Necid got them the vital three points they needed to get back to where they belonged. Hunt says all they need now to do now to cap off the perfect season is to win the Coca-Cola Championship after they lost in the FA Cup final to Arsenal the other day. But all in all Hunt says he is delighted with the club gaining promotion! :D

I haven't updated in a while, but since the last report, Newcastle United have been crowned Champions of the Coca-Cola Championship, and will face the big guns of Chelsea, United and Arsenal next season in the Premiership. Hunt says his side are easily good enough to challenge for the title next season.

On the transfer front, England winger Adam JOHNSON has completed his move from Middlesbrough to Newcastle for an undisclosed fee. Also, young Brazilian central-midfielder Elierce SOUZA has left the club for around £5m.

The Future's Bright!

African Sensation joins Newcastle

In the past few days there have been a players going in and out of St. James' Park, with the latest to be sold Ivan TOMECAK picking up a fee of around £2.1m and he has joined his former club Dinamo Zagreb, but it is rumoured that Hunt will still keep an eye on the young Croat, and maybe will look into bringing him back to the club in the future.

The next player to arrive in Newcastle for their medical was young Northern Irishman, Corry EVANS, brother of Manchester United defender Jonny. Evans joined the Toon for £300k, which Hunt says is an absolute bargain for a player of Corry's potential. Probably the biggest news to come out of St. James' Park in the last week or so was that African starlet Cheikhou KOUYATE has signed a 5-year deal with Newcastle for the fee of around £6.5m. The Newcastle supporters are said to be very happy to see such a talented young player arrive at the club.

Newcastle manager Rhys Hunt spoke to SMTV about how he will keep bringing in youngsters with great ability as he's sure they can compete at the highest level, in the Premier League. He had this to say:

As you can see from this season it is our policy to go out and find young players good enough to compete for the league, and that's exactly what they did. Now we have been promoted to the Premiership, I'm 100% confident that my players can compete at the highest level, and I have a little hunch we can compete for the league title, that's how highly I rate the set of lads we have at the club. The likes of Di Maria, Falcao, Kjaer, Hulk etc. are easily good enough to perform next season! It's going to be exciting!

Transfer Talk & Season Expectations

Today, Newcastle chairman Mike Ashley set his season objectives for Rhys Hunt and his extremely talented Newcastle squad to achieve. Rhys Hunt was said to have got a fax from chairman Ashley this morning that explained what he expected and it read:

The Newcastle United Board of Directors expects you to qualify for the SMFA competitions this season and have another all-round successful season at the helm of Newcastle United.

Rhys Hunt spoke about the objectives he and his squad had been set in a press conference earlier today, the Newcastle gaffer Hunt said:

After gaining promotion to the premiership it's going to be hard for any team, but I think our season objectives are totally realistic as we have a fantastic squad here, and every single player has amazing talent and potential. I have every faith in the lads at the club and I think we can do more than just qualify for the SMFA Cup, I think we can challenge for the league title.

On the transfer front at St. James' Park there have been a few players going in and out of the club. The first deal of the new season to be struck at Newcastle saw Brazilian attacking-midfielder Paulo Henrique GANSO join Newcastle in exchange for two Brazilians De Souza DOUGLAS COSTA and Nascimento EDUARDO who headed to Santos. The next player to arrive was 19-year old Frenchman Yann M'VILA who joined from Rennes in exchange for Mendes ELIAS and Tom ADEYEMI. Hunt has also said a couple more players should arrive at the club in the next few days.

Re: We'll Be Back | Newcastle Reports!

Well the new season in the Premiership has started and is 3 games in. Unbeaten with two draws and a win. It has been a very difficult start considering who we've faced, Manchester United (1-1), Aston Villa (3-3) and Manchester City (3-2). So it has been a good start in my books this season. :D

Since the last transfer update, Alexis Sanchez has been sold and then Gervinho was brought in to the club. Thiago Silva was the next to arrive at Newcastle after Chygrynskiy left. Lisandro Lopez was the next to join for a bit of cash and Hulk. So the squad has been majorly strengthened.

Some good rating changes have helped the squad also:

Thiago Silva 90 arrow-ne1.png91

Salvatore Sirigu 86 arrow-ne1.png88

Javier Pastore 87 arrow-ne1.png89

Simon Kjaer 89 arrow-ne1.png90

Kwadwo Asamoah 86 arrow-ne1.png88

The squad is looking very promising and talented, with players such as Badstuber, Di Maria, Neymar, Kjaer, Lisandro, Pastore, Milner and many more.

Re: We'll Be Back | Newcastle Reports!

I haven't wrote on this thread in forever! Well we finished 3rd in our first season in division one after winning division two last season. Happy with that, got all the young star players like Neymar, Ganso, Pastore, Hazard, Lukaku all of them :P

It's been easy to assemble but I do like having this team. :D
