Re: 80s -> 90s, Must Keep Players and The 90 - Droppers

Spam' date=' what do you think about Hulk?[/quote']

My favourite player in Portugal! :D

He plays at the standard of a 90 rated player, and should hit that if he can improve his tally. 88 -> 89/90 is my optimistic view on things, but I'd liek to hear what you think about him. IMO he's just what Brazil need up front to partner Luis Fabiano; a brutal competitive ball winning forward built like a bull! :P

Where do you see him rising to next time, if at all? Hulk/Falcao looks excellent though. ;)

I think a 90 will depend on his CL performances. Yes, he was great after the last ratings change, but SM will probably value this season more than the previous one. And so far he has done brilliantly well in the DOMESTIC league. But on an international panorama... Things aren't as linear as that. He needs to score one or two goals, preferentially next fixture against Atl├ętico de Madrid. Then he will be ready to jump to 90. As for Falcao... I'm still wondering why he didn't start against Chelsea. If we take into account that Lisandro rose from 90 to 92 after scoring 20 and something goals, then Falcao should get a similar rise by the end of the season should he match that score, which looks perfectly plausible to me.

Thanks for the input! So you reckon we'll be seing a Porto front line of Hulk and Falcao both at 90+ by the end of the season, assuming Porto win the title (I always do that! :P) and progress in the Champion's League?

I'll back that! And Lisandro wasn't getting much in the way of international football when he reached 92, maybe Hulk could even reach 91 by the end of the season!

Yep, most likely yes. By the end of the season we'll have Falcao 90/91 (like you say, Lisandro was 92 without playing for Argentina, while Falcao is a starter in Colombia), Hulk 90/91, Rodriguez 90/91, provided:

- Porto is the crowned the Portuguese champions and wins at least one of the two cups (League Cup or Portuguese Cup)

- Porto get to the eighth or quarter finals of the Champions League or at least to the semi-final of Europa League (could happen that Porto ended 3rd in their group)

- Falcao continues to score goals (very likely) and playing for the National Team

- Hulk scores a couple of goals in the Champions League

Still, nothing is guaranteed. Likely, but not guaranteed.

Re: 80s -> 90s, Must Keep Players and The 90 - Droppers

Does anyone know the latest on Aliyev's injury or how long before he is back?

I read an article dated July 16th (about a week after his injury) saying he was seeing specialists in Germany & that he may require surgery to the ankle injured in the final of the Ukrainian Super Cup.

Re: 80s -> 90s, Must Keep Players and The 90 - Droppers

Marchisio to 91, easily. If Gio gets 89/90 then Marchisio should defo get 91. Marchisio is a first teamer, Giovinco is not.

Kahlenberg and Onyewu shouldn't be there and Sidnei won't rise, David Luiz will (87>89).

Andre Marques> 86/87

Silvestre Varela>88/89

Javi Garcia 87>89

Toby Alderweireld 78>85+

Good thread, good effort.

After reading the thread above, could someone please tell me how Spam can justify this thread?! An absolute hypocrite!

It's a good thread, but he totally blasted someone for attempting exactly the same thing recently!

And I quote Spam directly:

"Why would Mark, rRdebe, DerbyPower, Abdel etc. put so much effort into their threads if they want their predictions pasted by someone else onto another person's thread, which really doesn't belong to them."

"The vast majority of player ratings predictions on this thread would have been mentioned in another, stolen from another or mightn't be at all accurate.

I just don't see the point of this thread, you host it and compile other people's work? Not nice, and I'd encourage everyone to refrain from essentially using other people's intellectual property, i.e their knowledge of a certain player/team/league, for their own benefit. "

I rarely use the forums, and this glaring hypocrisy was instantly noticeable! I'm very unimpressed at the way Spam sabotaged that thread.

Sorry here, but what right do ou have to criticise me for hypocrisy?

All bar 5 of the players mentioned where done by me, this is all my own work, nobody else's opinion was asked beforehand.

Unlike Keiran's 'thread' where he would do zero work, I maintain this one and add to it myself, I do my research, i post my findings. It's not for useless, pathetic people like you who have no real reason to be on this forum bar to criticise.

Don't make any more pathetic ham fisted attempt on my threads' reputation.

Evidently you are the 'forumer' who rated my thread 1 star, and I thank everyone else for giving it a reasonable score.

Re: 80s -> 90s, Must Keep Players and The 90 - Droppers

I'm waiting to see how much he plays in the centre of midfield after Diego arrived' date=' I've already said to Lewis about Santacroce - he deserves to be a 90, but I'm not 100% that he'll have a good chance to hit it this time around. Like I said to him I'll watch them in the Serie A, and add/take away a few players based on a few of their performances, I just want this thread to help as many people as possible! :D

BTW, I'll credit you with [b']Marchisio[/b] if he goes on the list. Thanks! :P

You should now add him to the list. He's playing really well atm~!

Don't see any hypocrisy at all. He didn't ask anyone to "post their risers" and "compile" them together, as far as I can see:cool:

Re: 80s -> 90s, Must Keep Players and The 90 - Droppers

Are you sure roberto carlos will drop?

I thought he was nearly top scorer in the turkish league so far

No that's Carlos Kahe, who's joint top scorer and plays for Genclerbirligi! :D

Fener are unbeaten as of yet, but Roberto Carlos has been very lacklustre.

On a side note, if Kahe keeps up his form, 83 -> 87 is in order. ;)

How can you justify an 87 for him, when the highest rating in the genclerbirligi team is 85? :confused:

Re: 80s -> 90s, Must Keep Players and The 90 - Droppers

i have oscar ustari. shud i swap him for rui patrucio or sergio romero or keep him?

nah swap him for romero, only because he has more chance of keeping for him national team and AZ are in the champions league. If not get Rui Patrico, he is quality aswell.

Re: 80s -> 90s, Must Keep Players and The 90 - Droppers

Does anyone have an opinion on what Marco Borriello may move to in the next ratings ?

He'll stay, Pato and Huntelaar are the main men for Milan, and Borriello's a sad fourth behind Pippo Inzaghi. ;)

In reply to Yokohama:

Melo - 91 -> 92/93

Gourcuff - 90 -> 92/91
