Liverpool Fans Welcome Griffin To Anfield In His First Game.

After Liverpool failed to win any silverware in the past 3 years, Spaniard Rafa Benitez resigned from the Liverpool manager's post 2 days ago, leaving unknown manager Dan Griffin to take over after Tom Hicks and George Gillet decided he was the man for the job.

Griffin's first game with Liverpool ended 1-1 away in Seville on saturday evening, and the Liverpool fans will be dissapointed at only a point in the season opener, but Griffin has said that they should expect some out of this world performances from the players and they will not fear anyone in this league.

Griffin has been very busy in the transfer market and has brought in 3-4 players so far, but has also seen the loss of Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres. Liverpools next game is at Anfield, against AS Roma.

Today, The footballing nation woke up to hear the sound of Torres joining Manchester United, but he hasn't been let go cheaply, Griffin knows what he's doing in the Liverpool seat. Jonny Evans and Dimitar Berbatov have joined the reds, but a further 4 players are waiting confirmation to seal a deal with Dan Griffin.

In the early hours of tomorrow, Michael Carrick and wonderkid Luis Anderson should both join the Reds, and then the following day Luis Nani and Antonio Valencia should join too. Gerrard follows Torres and joins former European Champions Man. Utd.

Gerrard's Car Gets Robbed, So he and his little girl have to walk to Carrington.

Ex-Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, has followed Fernando Torres' footsteps as he left the Reds for United, and has stated that the rest of the team should also look to other clubs, as Griffin wont do you any good, and simply doesn't know what he's doing.

Gerrard and Torres have now re-united but in Manchester, and reports are coming in from the Manchester United website that Jamie Carragher is close to sealing a deal with the Red Devils.

Liverpool have recieved in exchange, Michael Carrick and wonderkid Luis Anderson, some people might call that 'a bargain' for United, and that Griffin has ripped himself off, the two clubs wont clash in the league until mid-december, so the players will have to wait to go against eachother again!

Jamie Pledges The Fans To Get Behind Griffin For The Clubs Sake.

Jamie Carragher has rejected a 3 year contract with Man Utd and said that he won't ditch the club like Steve and Fernando did. 'The way they left us was inapropriate, and they might aswell just wave goodbye to their past that lies here at the club' said Jamie at a press conference earlier today.

'Griffin may be an inexperienced manager but he knows how to work with us, i'm sure he'll be here in the long run if the results come our way, and some of us may not like him, but we have to get on with it and get the result on the pitch' - Carragher.
