Re: Official Arsenal Thread

Good shout but if we're talking this season then nar.

Also give Jack that armband now' date=' nobody else is worthy in that team, the passion the guy shows is unbelievable. Vermaelen is just getting on wick now, he isnt a leader.[/quote']

Can't do it now.

Have to wait until next season. maybe even sell TV while he is still worth anything. Bring in someone who is proven.

I hope

Re: Official Arsenal Thread

hmm' date=' Didn't Schalke04 actually beat Arsenal twice in the group stages, and Bayern crushed S04 4-0 last week??

I think that quote is very contradictive Mr RedBull, because that only reps up Bayern.

Most of Deutschland and surrounding countries are expecting nothing short of an annihlation of the Arsenal and i'm not kidding. The media in Deutschland, Poland, Czech, Belgium etc all expecting[b'] a routine 3 or 4 goal route by Bayern.[/b]

I actually like Arsenal so i am calling it evens at a 2-2 fair draw, where Walcott and Giroud score for Arsenal, and Muller and Kroos score for Der Bavarians. B)

May god be siding Arsenal, because they are going to need a lot of luck defending!! :)

i called it a fair draw' date=' not easy one comrade.

Arsenal are far from going to have an easy draw tommorow. They will need grit determination and a lot and lot of luck to get a draw.

[b']I think if Arsenal do win, it would go down, as one of the greatest shocks in champions league history for sure.[/b] Arsenal unbelievably (you wouldn't hear me saying this 10 years ago) are huge huge underdogs even on their home turf tonight.

Arsenals hopes rest on Diaby overpowering Kroos and Schweinsteiger, because they easily deal with players like Arteta relatively easily week in week out - Diego Ribas is a recent example of that.

Come on Arsenal!!!!!:)

I've had the funny feeling vision where Arsenal score' date=' but Munchen destroy Merte in half afterwards!!

I personally believe Kroos and Schweiny [b']should have Arteta in their back pockets relatively easily[/b], Diaby for me is the key, because Bayern are not used to bullish big players - and when they did go up against a bullish big player...Stefan Reinartz, they didn't know how to deal with him, and Sami Hyypias tactics destroyed Bayern in half!

If Wenger watches the Lev-Bayern tapes, he'l know what i'd mean, when Diaby can overpower Der Bavarians.

Overall with Merte and Arteta playing,

my heart says: 2-2

nevertheless brain says: 1-4 Bayern rout/annihlation

May god save Arsenal!!!!

Giroud and Diaby on the benccchhh??????!!!!! WHAAAAAAA??????

Wenger has lost it comrades.

I predict this with that team:

Arsenal 1 - 5 Bayern Munchen

Ribery and Muller tear Merte to pieces' date=' [b']Zucki finishes off a few past the keeper[/b], Kroos and Schweiny dommminneeerr Ramsey and Arteta!! Bayern will punish them to the core.

Arsenal are playing 4-6-0 with NO CF.........

Unbelievable!!! Expect an annihlation Arsenal, the team sheet is weaker than expected, and Bayern are tankhouse powerhouses waiting to overpower Arsenal in the midfield with ease.

Wilshy is Arsenals only hope now. If Arsenal can score 1 goal, that would be very good for pride!!!

Most importantly, Good luck to the Arsenal fans!!! Tonight is going to be very deflating for them and Britain, to know how strong Der Bundesliga has become and domineering in UCL and you cannot play 4-6-0 against such an attacking Bayern team!!! B)

Pretty easy to say when they are already loosing 2-0.

Hey Adam' date=' luckily for you, i predicted the annihlation on this very forum for you. ;););):P

I do feel sorry for all those poor fans who paid their hard earn money to watch this. On one hand they get to enjoy Bayern Munich's supreme dominance, but on the other hand it's against a team they love and support :o

In a nutshell, i agree with you comrade. I said in an earlier post, the less Arsenal go to watch games at Die Emirates, the more shares going into Usmanovs hands, Kroenke is pushed out and Arsenal will have millions of investment flooding into the team and Wenger can domineer once more.

Jack forget loyality' date=' go sign anywhere else.[/quote']

Wow, could you imagine Jack Wilshy playing alongside Gotze at BVB or Toni Kroos at Bayern??

Haha i remember a year ago Arsenal fans wondering if Kroos or Gotze would join them, now it's swung totally on it's head because Der Bundesliga in such an uprise not even La liga can stop Deutsch domineerance now!!!! :D:)

Wenger may be crying and I do feel sorry for him somehow but taking Podolski off is just plain stupid.

I agree with you there' date=' Bayern were on the ropes when Arsenal scored their lucky goal, and Oxlade would have brought pace into the game with Poldi on it.

Diaby was the key though as i said 100x before the match.

Bayern aren't used to big tough players, but players like Arteta and Santi, they see those player off relatively easily week in week out.

Got a feeling in a few seasons Wilshere's going to become a Gerrard figure for Arsenal, he'll end up carrying this club the same way unless there is serious investment.

I agree with you there, Wilshy is Arsenals only hope, and if he joined La Liga or Der Bundesliga, i think that would be goodnight champions league playing Arsenal!!

Good shout but if we're talking this season then nar.

Also give Jack that armband now' date=' nobody else is worthy in that team, the passion the guy shows is unbelievable. Vermaelen is just getting on wick now, he isnt a leader.[/quote']

Jack Wilshy is a legend. I can't remember who made the comment, but i love the nickname 'Hollywood Defender' Vermaelen hahahahahaha. He looks like a leader like Vidic, but in reality, he's just another quantitative player on the pitch, with little qualites.

ARSENE go out and purchase Kurt Zouma and Ecuele Manga if you can.

Arsenals only hope now is to pinch top quality young players coming through Ligue 1, Serie A and Eridivisee, because there's no chance of getting any of the decent players from stronger leagues like Der Bundesliga and La Liga.

Even Strootman or Eriksen or both would be great improvements on Arteta and Ramsey for sure, then perhaps Franck Tabanou to replace Gervinho!!!

Call the revamp team, because Arsenal are in desperate desperate need a clear out comrades haha. ;):D:cool:B)

Re: Official Arsenal Thread

It would hurt to see him go' date=' I dont know what has happened to him, he was amazing at first.[/quote']

It would of hurt to see him go. However this season he has made Koscienly have to do two jobs. It is not fair that someone like TV should be allowed to constantly not play any offside trap, get caught between winger and striker and more importantly not lead the team.

I was at home watching today due to work, however when we went 2-0 down I said to my mates I hope TV quickly hurdles the players and tells them to focus.

He didn't even say anything, he turned around and put his face to the ground. How on earth is that going to benefit us?

Sezza is out of form and needs someone to help compete with him other than two flops like Mannone and Flappy Hand Ski.

Santa Cazorla hasn't performed to his standards either, poor passing and movement and allowed himself to be marked throughout the game.

Wilshere is the only real credit to this club right now and that is just wrong. He is a young man 21 years (I think), we are a team in the CL and good finances and yet instead of TV leading us it is our young CM.... Honestly our players need to fix up or leave.

Shame for us fans because we deserve much better. I think this is even going to make Wenger think twice about his contract. Even though you may blame him I still feel he is doing the best he can with his players. I hope we can somehow just focus on the BPL and make sure we finish above Spurs.

Couldn't bare to have all my Spurs mates give me grief for the next year. Think I would actually breakdown lol :)

Rant over sorry guys.

Arsenal won't be playing champions league football anymore because of greedy greedy directors.

Arsenal is a business success not a football success to Gazidis.

I mean what can Wenger do, his hands are completely tied and if he speaks out at Kroenke the board will get the media to brainwash worldwide fans that it's Wengers fault that Arsenal are on the decline when it's clearly not the case.

I wish he just leaves the mess the board are always expecting him to mop up and join Schalke 04 or Munchengladbach next season, where he'l have 100% backing by the fans board AND EVEN HOME MEDIA!!!

The media and club owners in England are just horrific and killing historic clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool, Leeds, Nottingham Forest and EVEN ASTON VILLA!!!!

Such a shame.

You'l never see Bayern, Borussia, Schalke, Munchengladbach, Leverkusen, - THE BIG 5 being run like a cash cow being milked by foreign tyrants like Abrham, Kroen or Glazers!!!!

Fans of England must look at how effeciently well Deutschland clubs are ran from top to bottom of the hierachy and identify it's the top in England killing the game, offering silly wages to mediocre players and the bottom (fans) of the hierachy are left to suffer, to pay hard money to watch that in reality, their team is a mediocre side not aiming to achieve anything short or long term!!!

Hope i could help ease the pressure on Wenger comrades and shed light on the horrific board directors from Britain!! ;):)B)

Re: Official Arsenal Thread

cool

Well yes the board is a big part to play in this, however so is Wenger and the players. It is hard to point in one area as it is actually many.

It's the fans that get hurt the most in this. We have two options, spend big money to stable the ship and maybe progress. Or hope the FFP will kick in and then we will be able to keep our club safe from any unwanted debts.

With how the economy is now days and rate of interest soaring it is important that we don't end up flashing the money in a silly way.

However we do need investment, but as Synyster said before we also need to get rid of our deadwood to make a new slate. We need to learn from our mistakes and show to the fans that we are wanting to compete with the best in the world. Not just settle for fourth every year.

Saying this though we need to just focus on getting 4th this year, it will be a long road I am sure but the next 3 years will be very vital to how our club is set out over the next decade.

Where's your evidence of such tall tales? One minute Arsene is Arsenal then he's an unwilling passenger nipped and tucked in the trunk...

If Arsenal does not play CL it's not because of the directors-it's because the side could not claim 3 points on the field.

As regards to German football it operates on a different policy so it's a bit simple to go on about foreign tyrants.

I actually agree with you and Synster.

The first step for Arsenal FC is clearing out the dead wood i.e. players on unjustified wages started with Arshavin, a player of whom, we don't even know his whereabouts haha. :P

Arsene for me has always been blindfolded in terms of cash to spend at Arsenal.

I could imagine in a board meeting, Wenger sorts all their finances out, then when its all clear said and done, and Arsenal are about to make 30m profit in annum, the board allocate immediately 26m of it and give 4m to Wenger on transfers.

He really doesn't stand a chance against the profiteering, suit wearing yes men directors of Kroenke's!!!!

Kroenke is drying Arsenal out for his American teams if you look at their past working capital per annum in their financial records!!!

In Deutschland, Merkel would never allow Tyrants to ruin Der Bundesliga anyway, i don't know how much influence the government has on football in England but they really should do!!

A laisse-faire Football structure will self destruct soon enough.

There is nothing in this present time stopping Kroenke going home in the states, happily knowing 60 000 more fans turned up to fill his and his yes men's pockets up even more nicely!!!

Heil Der Bundesliga structure of hierachal management!!! B)

Actually there are inaccuracies in your assertions. There are shareholders meetings when facts are revealed and Arsene has been given a war chest to buy players. However he has not chosen to do so -instead relying on Almunia, Niklaus B, Djorou and co. But this has been a topic beaten to death on this forum.

As regards to the Bundesliga there is a ban on foreign owners having more than 50% ..a case of trade protection.

btw

Wolfsburg, owned by the Volkswagen corporation ( who have an amazingly lucrative shirt sponsorship deal with Volkswagen, valued at somewhere between € 20-30 M).

Bayer Leverkusen owned by pharmaceutical company Bayer AG.

Hoffenheim – benefactored by SAP-billionaire Dietmar Hopp.

Re: Official Arsenal Thread

Just got back from the Emirates after a 2 hour coach drive.

Obviously its an awful result, one which I can't see us over turning. I was expecting a loss so it hasnt ruined the day. Only my second time at the Emirates, and I enjoyed it even more this time around.

The atmosphere was really good (Thought it would be down after the cup exit). Managed to get a seat at the clock end just behind the goal so was a fantastic viewpoint. The Bayern fans where in the stand next to us, and I have to say the support they got was amazing. I don't think they stopped signing or jumping for the whole game, at times I was wishing I was in there just for the extra atmosphere. They also set of a flare just before kick-off which looked really cool :) (Have a nice video ill try to put on Youtube)

Think the class between Bayern and us really showed. There defence was like an oiled machine. Closing down very quickly, strong challenges and out attackers just didn't know how to out beat them. Szczesny had another poor game, and to be fair everyone did bar Wilshere.

£5.00 for a slice of Pizza at half-time I found rather shocking (Although it was a very nice slice of pizza :)) but surely other clubs don't charge that highly. But Id already spent £100 getting to the game so I wasn't gonna complain lol.

Atleast all of the focus is on the league now (Thats not to say im glad we lost, but you know what I mean). Realistically we need to win every game, espeically at White Hart Lane. Personally feel we have given ourselves too much of a hill to climb :(

So yeah thats been my day. Dunno if any of you guys went to the game today. Possibly the last Champions League game for a while so it was nice to be part of it. :)

I'm not too sure Wenger has a 'War Chest', but i do know Arsenal are the only business model in England, capable of providing a 'clean' war chest to their managers! Wenger is a genius with money for sure.

On your point about Der Bundesliga, that article only further fuels my case, that Der Bundesliga will domineer worldwide football for 20-25 years soon enough, because a lot of spanish clubs will be liquidated, bankrupt and shut down, and the EPl if they keep spending the money they don't have, will decline also.

I as a knowedgable leader about Football, Der Commander, expert analysist on Deutschland and Deutsch football, predict a Deutsch domineerance of Football in the long term future for many many years whilst, Espania and England recover from the economic recessions that have hit every industry including their football leagues and teams.

Wenger is actually tailor made manager for Der Bundesliga and i personally think he could turn Schalke into worldwide domineering machinens - they have the youth system and current squad, they just need a financial genius tactician like Wenger to come in.

Imagine this

(Bayern) Guardiola vs (BVB) Klopp vs (S04) Wenger vs (Leverkusen) Hyppia vs (Munchengladbach) David Moyes - who all fight and domineer the champions league for many years with huge profits every year!!!

And the most watched liga in der welt!!!

Deutsch fans are the best in der welt, you jst have to watch them go crazy e.g even Frankfurter fans are crazy haha.

P.S. that's so enlightening how you put it - that match tonight could be the last time Arsenal played champions league football at Die Emirates under Wenger ever again.

That'd be a real shame, because i rate Arsenal and Liverpool much higher than Man City and Chelsea.

My preferred english champions league teams = Man United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham.

If that was possible, i wish these 4 were the biggest in Britain and that Man City and Chelsea went out of business and bankrupt haha. :P:cool:B)
