*Six of one and half a dozen of the other

Sorry. It was really annoying me.

Whoops. Pretty stupid typo on my part. Thanks for pointing it out.

Where do you all see Ramsey fitting in next year? If we sign someone to play in his box-to-boxish position, what happens to his place in the team?

lol..maybe Lewandowski ;)

Arsenal eye another little-known youngster in Gilbert Imbula of Guingamp and France U21s

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/arsenal-transfers-gilbert-imbula-midfielder-1948323

Better known as Gianelli Imbula' date=' he was the player of the year in Ligue 2 this season, at quite young age. Ligue 2 is of course not top level football, but it is very competitive and physical league and anybody coming from there is ready to tough, physical game. Players succeeding there tend to be fighters, like Ribéry, Alessandrini, Koscielny, Giroud, Knockaert.

He might be going to l'OM. It is a good question, whether Guingamp should sell him for good money now, or have him for another year now that they're in Ligue 1. If they can stay up, which is more likely with him, they could get even more money out of him; but if they get relegated which is probable in any case, they'll probably have to sell him and then they would hardly get those 8 million pounds they are asking now.

I'd rather see him playing a season in Ligue 1 than going to waste in England, but if you'll pay that 8 million pounds to Guingamp for it, I'd suppose you'll use him as well, so maybe this can turn out good. Haven't watched that much Ligue 2 this season, but Imbula appears as an exciting talent and has made himself talked about by managers in particular. His coach Gourvennec rates in particular his passing and holding skills, protection of the ball that make him better than others. Strong player to both directions, causes problems to opposition defence and holds their attacks; but generally plays rather deep on midfield, deep play maker and ball winner. Also scored some goals for both Guingamp and les bleuets. According to Gourvennec he has good sports, good mentality. Appears as a rather humble and precocious player who has been worth trusting already at young age, knowing he has still to learn (has had a good possibility to do that at Guingamp with a lot of good experience in the squad).

. He appears almost like a libero in that match. By the way, OM is playing very close to their best XI there against EAG, and pretty much the best they had available. That is quite impressive match from Imbula. And don't make believe that EAG had only been focused on that match, since they were back then and all the way to the end in the promotion fight in Ligue 2, eventually winning the third promotion spot. That is very mature playing from him, managing his position with ease, showing great technique in launching EAG's attacks. Worth watching.

Sir Chips Keswick' date=' replacing Peter-Hill Wood as Arsenal Chairman. Best Wishes to Peter Hill-Wood. Thank you for your services to the club! :)[/quote']

And what services were they? Being an out of touch moron who regularly patronised and disrespected the fans? He can burn in hell,

As for Sir Chips, grief, he sounds like he's in the same snooty, ignorant mould as PHW.

Re: Official Arsenal Thread

Arsenal are after Anzhi Makhachkala midfielder Odil Ahmedov, according to talkSPORT.

Borussia Monchengladbach scout Ove Flindt-Bjerg says the club are not interested in Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner.

After clearing out the youth academy of 15 players, Arsenal are actively looking to bolster the ranks and it is being reported that they have signed 16 year old Jamaal Raage, described by the Swedish press as a ‘super talent’.

BTW lads isn't Fellani a CM/CAM/ secondary forward mainly not a DM?

Can play all of those, probably won't be CAM at Arsenal though. Was used as CAM targetman occasionally for Everton, strong physically and in the air.

Should be capable of playing as CM/DM at Arsenal I'd think/in a double CM pivot with Wilshere

This is what I meant when I said he could be another Song. His game evolved past DM. We need a Neanderthal that isn't going anywhere.

Re: Official Arsenal Thread

What?. You guys are never satisfied with all the good players linked. Fellaini is such a good player yet there are some who said they rather not have them. Think you guys forgotten that depth is also very important in order to be consistent. Can't expect our midfield trio play every single game without rotation especially Cazorla.

If you're playing in a CAM position, chances are you aren't going to defend as much as if you were playing CDM. Fellaini has showed he can play well in a defensive position when we faced Everton last season. I don't think he'll be another Song if he joins us but currently I don't think it will happen.
