Re: Official Arsenal Thread

People are saying that it's just a minor injury but still we gotta be careful. We can use Sagna as a CB. IF it's a long term injury then we have to buy someone' date=' Miquel is not ready yet and we just can't let Sagna play as a CB. For short term it's alright but not for long term.[/quote']

Why not, Sagna is solid playing as a CB. We can shift him to CB and put Jenkinson at RB and at the same time we can give Miquel his chances by rotating with Jenkinson

Miquel doesn't play right-back...

We desperately need another centre-back, just hope we don't get Williams.

We can do that for 3 matches but not for 45 matches. We have to buy a good CB, a natural CB, if it's a long term injury but it looks like Laurent is ok.

;2663214']Pull your finger out Arsene!

Nothing will happen until after our tour anyway. I'm sure he will have a short list drawed up by now. May I remind people that we finished with the second best defence in the prem last season.

Think he meant something like this.

One game - Jenkinson-Sagna-Mert-Gibbs

Next game - Sagna-Miquel-Mert-Gibbs

Which would rotate Miquel and Jenkinson. Wouldnt mind for a few games but against a top side Miquel is not ready for that yet.

Re: Official Arsenal Thread

Someone like Phil Jagielka would do us great' date=' solid no nonsense defender.[/quote']

For once you speak the truth. wouldnt mind getting an experienced defender for a couple seasons back up like Jagielka. he could easily be rotated as forst choice with Per alondside Kos while verm is out, could even end up in the first XI if he outperfromed Per. (could even replace Verm with him)

As much as I'd like Jagielka he ain't moving, He's already stated a few times since Martinez took over that he's staying.

Giroud could score 20+ with the correct ammunition, unfortunately he has Walcott alongside him so it won't be happening.

Re: Official Arsenal Thread

I think Giroud is very good on his day and that he should have good days more consistently next season. Arsenal just need to play to his strengths a little more - the passing game is lovely but firing in a few crosses to Giroud would be much more productive.

That said, you have just Giroud, Podolski and Walcott as decent strikers. Theo's more often used on the wing and Podolski doesn't really suit being a lone striker so you could definitely do with buying somebody (better than Sanogo). Doesn't necessarily need to be an improvement on Giroud though.

Re: Official Arsenal Thread

We have many more examples, Per, Kosc, and to a certain extent Park (who will probably never play for us again) struggled in their first season. Now Kosc and Per are our first choice partnership, we just need that cover player, Miquel isn't ready, and Vermaelen is suspect.

PENALTY TO ARSENAL.

RYOOOO! Something that should set a smile on all Japanese fans, and Arsenal fans. Had a torrid time with injuries, some that couldn't of been helped for the challenges he receives.

Cracking finish I must say. He knew where he was hitting that, and knew how hard to hit it. Wayne Rooney look on.
