Re: Official Arsenal Thread

Brilliant result for Arsenal' date=' never looked really under threat. What a change from the 1st game.[/quote']

We didn't play that bad against Villa we had an awful ref. we have played nice consistent football for a while and the team is improving. Not saying we are title challengers or a complete article as we do need depth. However today was a great result and maybe just proves that you need a team not just talented individuals.

Over time I am sure Spurs will settle and improve but right now they have plenty of teamwork to build on. Where as we need to improve in depth before the window closes.

Re: Official Arsenal Thread

Yeh the communication from Flamini was immense, I think he'll grow on me BUT he should be a signing to compliment our big signings, not the only signing that is just free. Anyway Routine win here for us at the Emirates, biggest suprise being a clean sheet, first clean sheet in a NL derby in 3 years.

Gotta say, Im not particularly impressed by the CB pairing of Spurs, it shouldve been easily 3-0 today. Spurs really were lack luster but with Lamela and Defoe coming on, they looked a lot better. Defoe is an important player and should play a lot more. Also with Eriksen, theyll be better but for now, excellent win over our rivals and Im delighted to see em crumble today.

COYG!!!

Re: Official Arsenal Thread

A DM really made our defense more solid and loved those interception leading to counter attack. We were way more dangerous than Spurs. Again' date=' Ramsey was awesome but MoTM has to be Cazorla.[/quote']

Giroud was a deserved MOTM. However Kossceinly was great for us as well another top notch performance from him and Per.

Flamini = Fantastic signing.

Surely you're all behind Ramsey now? It could be worse' date=' you could have Cleverley![/quote']

Good player but still needs to improve on tackling if he is gonna play in CM, also needs to improve on finishing, he couldve easily made it 2-0 for us.

Re: Official Arsenal Thread

Towards the end your players were dropping like flies' date=' which should be a worry, as if they do start picking up injuries your not blessed with great depth.

Great defending though, defending that the "great" Gareth Bale wouldn't have been able to score against I imagine...[/quote']

Dunno, with the quality of Bale, it couldve been worse for us, Bale vs Jenk imagine that.

Wouldn't rule out Giroud as MOTM either. His finishing was superb especially with that angle. Thought Koscielny was okay and Mertaesacker was just as good. Flop of the match would definitely be Jenkinson and Gibbs. Both of them were caught out of position many times and could have cost us.

Gibbs was tremendous, he just didnt have the full support of Cazorla in my opinion. Gibbs will be a competent LB down the line. His only down side was he didnt block a few crosses but he was feeling his leg through the game so maybe he was slightly hurt.

Agreed and while he didn't have much to do Woijech made an amazing save after the deflection from Koss. Great reactions from him and hopefully he can carry on with this and stop his silly errors.

Re: Official Arsenal Thread

Ramsey put in another amazing shift' date=' great play all around.

It was quite nice seeing Flamini play, [b']everything just seems so much more safe with a defensive midfielder on[/b].

he seem to talk a lots on the pitch like a leader quite surprise by him. for what l have seen today he maybe good signing after all but I still want wenger to spend
