I offered a P/E deal of Delgado and Anderson (not the greatest I know :o) and was countered 15 mil. Was delighted but half expected it to be cancelled at some point.

Edit: Saying that, Anderson can go for cash. Closest bid to asking price gets him.

Flamengo Appoints The General!

Flamengo.png

The Brazilian champions won't go less than that, the well known manager decided to takeover the Brazilian team, and also said that he will get into action in no time, so if you want any press conference, it will take a couple of days for getting it.

Radoi, and Leandro joins Flamengo!

Romanian defender in Al Hilal and Brazilian striker in Al Sadd, agreed on joining the Brazilian champions after an easy negotiations and after listening to The General plans, both players decided that it's better for them to join Flamengo, and that's what happened.

M. BASTOS (13)

J. MAKOUN (63)

C. PARK (86)

Lyon have made the perfect start to their new era under Welsh manager, Dai WInston. It was classed as an experimental game to see which formation would suit the style of play that Winston wanted to play. He went on to say;

"Today's game was a chance for me to judge the players and get a platform to start working on things. Instant success would be great but I'm preparing myself for anything at this stage. The lads did well tonight and fought hard against a decent team. We will scan over a few things tomorrow and take it from there."

The match was quite even with both teams creating numerous chances. Near eneough sharing the possession overall. The difference between the teams was man of the match Jean Makoun. The Lyon midfielder had a hand in the opening goal just on the 13 minute mark, Makoun's strike was fumbled by Ruffier in the Monaco goal and Michel Bastos was on hand to tap the ball in.

Monaco made a good game of it and had numerous chances themselves to get back level but their hopes were dashed not long after half time when Jean Makoun let fly with a screaming shot that left Ruffier with no chance.

Lyon tried to see the game out and while sitting back slightly they invited pressure resulting in Monaco pulling a goal back with just minutes ramaining. It led to a nervy last few moments which saw Lyon having to clear a shot off the line to stay in the lead and complete the win.

Johnson: "This is our season"

chelsea_logo.jpg

Sunderland 1-3 Chelsea

On the opening day of the season, Chelsea travelled all the way up North to face a tough Sunderland team, Chelsea were certainly a team under pressure with the fans expectations and the media vultures circuling around looking for any slip up made by Johnson.

Tonight could of not gone any more perfectly for the new Chelsea Gaffa spanking Sunderland on their home turf. Chelsea played well, controlling play with there impressive 58% possession, making Sunderland chase the game for large periods of play.

Although the team played fantastically, Drogba will steal all the headlines tomorrow with a fantastic hattrick and a performance to match.

Didier-Drogba-celebrates--002.jpg

" Im absoloutely delighted with this, i couldnt ask for anymore, im pleased with the players, the formation and in the travelling fans, im 100% delighted to be here, and Drogs, wow, mindblowing performance, easily the best player on the pitch "

This season Chelsea are expected to concentrate their efforts toward the EPL, although Johnson would love to challenge on all fronts, he has admitted to insiders that his squad at the moment just isnt big enough.

Wolves Get Good Start.

Wolves Went In To The Game Against Tottenham Hotspur Tonight Looking For Atleast A Point, And They Took Away 3 Of Them. Eventual MOTM Breaked The Deadlock On The 35th Minute, After Controling A Pass From Austrian Centre-Forward Stefan Maierhofer And Dummying The Keeper, And After That All He Had To Do Was Roll The Ball Into The Corner Of The Empty Net.

The Second Goal Came In The 64th Minute, With New Captain Patrick Viera Scoring Neatly Inside The Box.

"I Am Very Happy With Tonights Result. We Were'nt Expecting To Take All 3 Points From Spurs, But We Did It!"

"Patrick (Viera) Is A Gread Addition To Our Squad. He Was The Boss Of Our Midfield And A Terrific Play-maker."

The Win Takes Wolves Up To 7th In The Table.

Danny Guthrie Screamer is only goal which separates Newcastle and Watford.

Watford last night travelled all the way up to the north east of England where English Giants Newcastle United would be waiting for them. Newcastle have been on stunning form since leaving the Premier League, they have won ALL pre season matches against strong teams. Newcastle did start on the right foot, looking good and calm on the ball, and after just 4 minutes of play, Danny Guthrie shoots at goal form 30 yards out looking for something special, he got that as it burst into the top corner of the Watford goal leaving keeper Scott Loach helpless, Newcastle controlled most of the rest of the game but it was Guthrie's goal that separated them.

Palladino's great solo goal earns Genoa all 3 points

Genoa kick started their season with a victory over Bari. Tavey stated before the game not to under estimate his side and said that he expects to challenge the top 4 this season. The only goal of the game came in the 43rd minute when Raffaele Palladino used his pace and power to get into the box and neatly finish off a great solo goal.
