Incheon United fans cheer their new manager

Korean side Incheon United have sacked manager Ilija Petkovic and replaced him with Aussie manager KopStar. The board chose KopStar as he is believed to have a better understanding of Asian football and a better track record than other of the leading candidates.

The new manager's first move was to state that the whole team was available for sale and no one is expected to be saved. This is aimed at adding money to the small budget supplied by the board. He has stated that he wants to make a good young team that has heaps of potential.

Nagoya_Grampus_Eight-logo-C02824F19D-seeklogo.com.gif

Yesterday night it was confirmed that Nagoya Granpus have managed to get Hans Parker to be their manager. Parker has signed a 3 year deal with the Japnanese club and he has expressed his desire to one day win the Asian Championship. This year he has been set a target by the chairman to finish in the top 10 and he hopes to achieve this and build on from there. He has been given a budget of around £10 million pounds and he hopes to spend this on up and coming talents from all over the world. This was what he had to say infront of the Japanese media

"I'm really proud to be managing a team who has been in the top flight of japanese football for 16 years. We are one of six teams to have done this and I'm grateful to the chaiman for givving me the opportunity to come over to Japan and begin a new chapter in my life." "The only thing that concerns me is that we've never won a league championship and I hope this changes within the next couple of season but for now I want to concentrate on finishing atleast in the top 10 and build a fantastic squad full of young talents. I've done the unexpected with Swindon Town and I hope I can do the same thing here."

The chairman has asked Chazza to reinforce the strikers which shall soon be fulfilled. Chazza has a few names (who are currently staying anonymous) that he wishes to sign.

Nile Ranger scores debut goal, delighting the 1,500 away support

North Queensland Fury got off to the best possible start to the new season, beating Al Nassr away from home, moving up to 6th in division 3. North Queensland Fury had failed to make many signings, signing only Nile Ranger and Jonathan Soriano before the season opener, Fury have placed all of their squad on the transfer list but have yet to recieve a single bid, but the bids are predicted to start coming in in the next day or two.

Fury got off to the best possible start, holding midfielder Ufuk Talay giving the away team the lead after just 5 minutes. A mix up in the Al Nassr defence allowed Talay to slot the ball past Al Wabary.

It was then 2-0, just 6 minutes later. Debutent Nile Ranger followed in for the rebound after Robbie Fowler's original strike was only parried by the Al Nassr goakeeper, allowing Ranger to score the easiest of debut goals.

Fury then made it 3-0, after 24 minutes with English winger Terry Cooke getting his first of the season. Cooke recieved the ball, 25 yards from goal, and hit a tremendous strike, crashing in off the crossbar.

Al Nassr managed to get a goal back before half time, Eder Gaucho finishing after the ball was pulled back into the area by Chun-Soo Lee.

Lee then made it 3-2, on 62 minutes. Lee got into a great position, and connected with Eder Gaucho's cross with a fine header, beating Henderson to give Al Nassr some hope. North Queensland Fury hung on for the win though, taking them 6th in division 3. Delighting everyone involved at the club. Especially the 1,500 fans, who will travel back from all the way from Saudi Arabia to Australia delighted with the teams performance.

In other news, Zavon Hines has arrived at the club, on loan for the rest of the season. Hines will get a lot of football this season, especially on the wings but is a very good replacement forward aswell. Hines joins from Incheon United, and is a great signing for Fury.

Incheon United sign Real Madrid youngster

drenthe.jpg

Royston Drenthe moved to Korea in search of regular gamtime

Incheon United have completed a massive swoop signing Royston Drenthe. It looked certain that Esteghlal would sign the Dutch international but a last minute bid from Incheon United was accepted and the player has now joined the Korean side.

Real Madrid received £6 million for Drenthe. Some have suggested that he will be pushed into a leftback role as Incheon currently have a mere two first team defenders left in the squad.

Manager KopStar said this, "He is a great signing; young, skillful and talented- exactly what I am looking for. His signing should start a busy period of transfers with six more set to leave the side within the next 24 hours. We have placed a number of bids for players who will form the core of our first team.

Harewood grabs debut goal, to secure the points for Fury

North Queensland Fury kept up their 100% start to the season, with a vital 2-0 win at home to Al Karamah. Fury gave debuts to 5 players, with Danny Pugh, Berti Glauber, Zavon Hines, Marlon Harewood and Yigaal Gai Assulin making their debuts for the Aussies.

It took just one minute for debutant Zavon Hines, on loan from Incheon United just a minute to recieve a yellow card, a reckless challenge from the youngster resulting in a yellow card being shown. The first chance of the match was on 13 minutes, Fury centre-back Scott Wilson attempting the chip over the keeper, but the ball crashed off the crossbar. Nile Ranger then came close, but his shot was cleared of the line by the Al Karamah defence.

In the second half, there was again not many chances. But Fury managed to hit the net on 62 minutes, with Nile Ranger scoring his 2nd of the season. Ranger ran onto Nile Rangers through-ball, and thumped the ball into the top hand corner, erupting the home crowd. Not long after and the points were secured for Fury, Marlon Harewood getting the goal with 15 minutes remaining. A superb cross from Gai Assulin, met the head of Marlon Harewood, with a superb header rocketing past the keeper. Zavon Hines was then shown a straight red card, Hines read the run of Mohanad Ibrahim, leaving him the last man but Hines slid in, taking the legs of Ibrahim, Hines was shown a straight red card for the foul. Hines has earlier been booked, but the referee deemed the foul as a straight red, rather than a straight booking. large_shock.jpg

Disappointed Nagoya Grampus fans as their team slip to 3rd bottom in the table

Nagoya Grampus have ground to make up if they are to push for a top eight finish. This comes after the disapointing 3-2 loss to Beijing Guoan. Nagoya were totally played off the park but manager Hans Parker has asked his fans to remain calm as the team is still in a transformation process.

Nagoya Grampus had sold nearly their entire squad before that game and there were very few options avalable for Parker. He had to go in the match with unexperienced players such as Zaur Sadaev and Sho Hanai. The game was totally dominated by the Chinese team and they had the better posession and had the more chaces to score.

Beijing Guoan seemed to be crusing at the break with a 2-0 advantage. Goals from Du and Griffiths looked like they won the game for Guoan but after the restart German Pacheco and Davis Curiale made the score level before a heartbreaking goal from Du on the 80th minute sealed the vicotry and sent the home fans wild.

After the game the Japanese media caught up with Parker and this was his take on the game;

"Of course I'm disapointed with the result. Nobody likes losing and this was a sore one to take. A late goal done us after we managed to get back in the game and I'm very disapointed with that. I thought we were going to take a point back home but it wasn't to be. We have to look forwars to the next game against Jeonbuk Motors and hopefully by then I'll have my whole squad at my disposal and we can kick start our season from there.

I can confim that I've managed to sign 6 more first team players. We have went for youth and haven't bought a player over 25 yet. The players that we managed to sign were Marco Rossi, Gongalo Brandoa, Andrea Lazzari, Stefano Guberti, Silvestre Varela and Javier Pastore.

I'm looking at bringing another few in the next couple of days and hopefully we will climb up the table after a disastrous start to the season.
