Re: Future Superstars

It's always a gamble saying a young player will be a superstar, they're never ever a sure thing.

With that in mind, I'll say Kakuta has a pretty good chance at being a superstar. Young players find it tough getting games at Stamford Bridge but he has all the qualities that are lacking in the Chelsea side right now (creativity, speed, flair) so I could see him making the jump to the first team in the next year or two, especially as Carlo still hasn't found consistency at the tip of the diamond.

Re: Future Superstars

About Italians, Santon is already in the National main team. Balotelli should be there as well, but the coach Lippi doesn't like eccentric guys (like him and Cassano), so probably he will miss the World Cup.

Then Santacroce and Verratti, but personally I would bet also on D'Alessandro, Marilungo and maybe Di Tacchio.

The fact is that in Italy it take a long time to grow, because usually coaches gives their preferences to tattically experienced player, sacrifying the pure talent.

Remember that, when Lippi was managing Internazionale, he was regularly sending to sit between the supporters a certain Roberto Baggio.

Cassano today is the best Italian assist-man, as genial as Totti. But he will watch the World Cup on TV.
