clayts 108
Re: World Championship 2 MKII Division 3 Promotion Hopes With 3 games to go in Division 3, its all hotting up. Between 1st place team Cruzeiro and 5th place Sampdoria is only 2 points!!! 1. Cruzeiro 64 2. Atl.Bilbao 64 3. Dep. La Coruna 63 4. Lazio 63 5. Sampdoria 62 6. Sevilla 60 7. Panathinaikos 56 Despite Cruzeiro being top of the league, they are going to have to look at their recent performances. Cruzeiro and Dep. La Coruna have both lost their last 2 games! Cruzeiro have tough games to go against Sampdoria and Dep. La Coruna and an easier game against Besiktas. Dep. La Coruna will play Besiktas, Cruzeiro and Villarreal, who are currently 17th!!! 2nd place team Atl. Bilbao play bottom of league team Aston Villa next. Then have two tough games against Lazio and In form Panathinaikos. They have won 4 out of their last 6 games. Lazio play 18th placed Fiorentina, then play Atl. Bilboa and last game of the season against tricky Celtic. In their last 6 games they have only won 2. But it was their last 2 games! 5th placed Sampdoria will have a tough first game against Cruzeiro. But their last 2 games are the easiest out of the challengers, playing 17th Villarreal and 18th Fiorentina. They have a mixed bag as the form goes. With 3 wins and 3 losses. However, 6th placed team Sevilla are the only team in the top 7 who dont have to play any rivals for the promotion spots. They play 11th Sao Paulo, 16th Bayer Leverkusen and 15th Unmanaged Middlesborough! But bearing in mind, Sevilla have not won for 3 games! 7th placed team, Panathinaikos are the team which has the best form. 5 wins and 1 loss. Also to take note their last 2 games they won were against 1st Cruzeiro and 3rd Dep. La Coruna. They will play Villarreal 17th, Fiorentina 18th, and finally a tough game away to Atl. Bilbao, 2nd. Panathinaikos are 7 points behind the promotion spots. So, they need to win every game and rely on other results going there way! (Although not bad for a team who were 6 points a drift at the bottom of the league 20 games ago!) The last 10 games show Panathinaikos are the top team. With Atl. Bilbao 2nd and joint 3rd Sampdoria, Cruzeiro and Lazio. Let the games begin!! DP 91

clayts 108
Re: World Championship 2 MKII Division 3 Round Up In yesterdays games, saw a few shocks and some very big games!! First of all Cruzeiro who were top lost at home to Sampdoria 1-3. Cruzeiro now drop to 3rd and Sampdoria jump up 3 places to 2nd!! Atl. Bilboa manager Teb will be extremely unhappy with their result. As they lost 0-2 at home to struggling Aston Villa! They have now dropped out of the top 3 to 5th! Lazio had a great win away to Fiorentina! Winning 1-4. This is Lazio's 3 win on the trot. And now have moved to the top of the table! Deportivo La Coruna boss Luke will be unhappy yet again at the performance of his team. As they could only draw 1-1 to Besiktas. Deportivo were top or 2nd for most of the season. But now with no wins 6 games. They look to be a side that lacks confidence. Sevilla drew 1-1 to Sao Paulo. And remain in 6th place. And finally Panathinaikos thrashed Villarreal away from home 1-4. This is now the 3rd win on the trot. Although they boast the best form of the top 7 teams it is looking little too late for the Greek side. 1. Lazio 66 2. Sampdoria 65 3. Cruzeiro 64 4. Dep. La Coruna 64 5. Atl. Bilbao 63 6. Sevilla 61 7. Panathinaikos 59 Now...........with only two games left. How does it look? 1st place Lazio Lazio have taken 10pts from a possible 18pts. But have won their last 3 games. Next, they will play 5th place Atl. Bilbao and then travel to Celtic as their last game. However, Siviglia, one of their CB's got sent off and will miss the rest of the season. And Liverani is doubtful for the next game as he is not match fit! Media Prediction: 2nd 2nd place Sampdoria Sampdoria have taken 12pts from a possible 18pts. They have won 4 in their last 6 games. Next, they will play Villarreal at home. This should be a home banker for Fraser's side. And then they are away to Fiorentina. Sampdoria are expected to win both games. But for their next game, 4 players are not match fit, and two of them is Friedrich and Fiore, who are first team players. Media Prediction: 1st 3rd place Cruzeiro Cruzeiro have had a tough time of late, only picking up 7pts from a possible 18. They have also lost their last 3 games! There next game they travel to Dep.La Coruna. Who incidently are the only team in the top half with a worse recorded form than Cruzeiro. This will be a very interesting match for both out of touch sides. As it is a must win, as it is very likely that whoever wins will gain promotion. Cruzeiro then travel to Besiktas for their last game. One thing is correct tho. Is that Cruzeiro have a fully fit squad! Media Prediction: 3rd 4th place Dep. La Coruna Deportivo have had some dismal performances recently. No wins in their last 6 games. This makes their game against Cruzeiro even more important! Their last game finds them travelling to Villarreal. Sergio is still injured for them. Media Prediction: 4th 5th place Atl.Bilboa Atl. Bilboa have won 4 games out of 6. Unfortunately they have lost their last 2 games!! And they have the toughest 2 games to finish on. First they are away to Lazio and then home to in form Panathinaikos! We can't see them getting promotion. Against teams in the promotion chase. The only teams they have beaten is Cruzeiro and Dep. La Coruna twice. Against Lazio they lost 2-1 and lost 5-2 to Panathinaikos!! Media Prediction: 7th 6th place Sevilla Sevilla have taken 10pts from their last 18. But have failed to win in their last 4 games! But they do have the easier games compared to the rest. They travel to Bayer Leverkusen, and then are at home to Middlesborough! But are without Frei. So, they will have to be strong in defence as their strikeforce without Frei has been poor. Media Prediction: 6th 7th place Panathinaikos The Greek side seem to be a team with great purpose. They have taken a great 15pts from a possible 18. Winning 5 games in 6. And 8 wins in 9! They next play at home to Fiorentina and then travel for a tough game to Atl. Bilbao. Despite Gimenez their influential striker being out for the last 6 games, (scoring 12 in 13 games), Panathinaikos have still been able to find the net easily. Also, in order for them to gain promotion. Cruzeiro and Dep.La Coruna must be a draw and they must lose their other matches! harry69memic 81
Re: World Championship 2 MKII Dortmund walk over Everton at home last encounter: Dortmund 4-1 Everton This was a match where all of Div 2 was watching, Everton who were in superb form and Dortmund who had clinched promotion the week before. Harry and Sam shared a nice cold one before the match kicked off. Sam used good old Memic's favourite formation and Memic knew what to counter it with. Dortmund came out firing and took control of the game early. They gave Everton little chances and were all over them in every position. Maldini controlled the back superbly and no Everton player was going through him. A man of the match performance for Maldini. Kanoute got the Panzer Division rolling with a powerful yet well place header which saw it beat Roberto ABBONDANZIERI in the 23rd minute. C.Ronaldo showed signs of his skill with ssome great dribbling before laying it off to Maldini who held the ball up and played a superb long ball which connected to C.Ronaldo's head and saw it 2-0 in the 27th. Ten minutes later a very quiet Saha beat the offside trap and had a one on one with the keeper and made to score 3-0. Gomes CARLOS ALBERTO was no where to be seen, until a long range strike which hit the side netting. Everton's attack tried several times to get past Cannavaro and debutant Metzelder but they wre jsut to strong, while Memic let the wingbacks over lap Zambrotta and Maldini caused to many problems out wide. Gomez came on the bench and proved to be an instant hit with the german supporters, but was unlucky to find the net. While Makaay had his last game and one he couldn't have any complaints about. 85th minute Maldini made a great run with C.Ronaldo returning the favour earlier in the game and Maldini scored with a superb diving header. Game Set Match 4-0. Dortmund made Everton look like a bunch of school boys, and taught them a lesson or two about football.

Memic was pleased that the striker has joinned Dortmund, as Memic keeps trying to strengthen his squad for division 1. Toni scored 17 goals for Bayern this season, but seems to have had problems with new management. Luca Toni said "Cannavaro iz one of the major reasons I joined Dortmund as he told me this is a great club and has a great manager, where I will fit in beautifully." Toni has started training with the lads, and is hoping to debut on Saturday.

English star midfielder Steven Gerrard could be on his way out of Real Madrid after the club got relegated. newly promoted Dortmund was very eager to sign the player, and worked very hard in finding loopholes in which Real Madrid would let the player go. Gerrard is rumoured to be going to the Germans for a fee reported of 30 million pounds. Both Memic and Steven seemed to be pleased with the new transfer. This deal could see Dortmund do one better than just aviod relegation in Division 1 but also contest for the title. The morale of Dortmund is buzzing with excitment. Gerrard who hasn't found his full potential with Real Madrid is hoping to find the winning performances which saw him shine at Liverpool. He stated. "i'd like to thank Chinedu Osofia for some great moments in 3-4 seasons. But now that chapter is about to close and a new chapter is about to open." Clubs such as Barcelona, Juventus and Milan were all interested in the midfielder, but it was his choice to take Dortmund, and according the local papers it was due to Harry Memic being their manager.
