United win City derby!

Manchester United remain a point behind Liverpool after 15 games, following a superb 2-0 win away to rivals Manchester City. United play a ninth placed Burnley side at home on Wednesday evening.

As always the atmosphere before the match was electrifying. And Manchester City began the better. Fernando Llorente failed to capitalise on the break following a burst of pace down the right from Juan Mata. Juan Mata had his head in his hands a moment later after the young Spanish magician blazed horribly over the bar from five yards after Wright Phillips pull back. To make it worse for him it was in front of the Man United fans and they made sure he felt the humiliation. Michael Carrick felt he had won a penalty in the 10th minute after he was brought down by Micah Richards. The ref waved play on though. But Michael Carrick got his revenge on Richards opening the scoring with a stunning twenty yard shot which sailed into the top corner to silence City. Mirko Vucinic could have equalised a moment later but he headed inches over the crossbar from Mata’s cross. Llorente had his shot from twenty yards well saved by Van Der Sar, a minute later. Antonio Valencia broke in the 29th minute and he used his pace and skill to skip past Wayne Bridgeand he pulled the ball back to the edge of the area where Wayne Rooney was and he fired the ball first time into the top corner. 2-0: 29 minutes in. Stephen Ireland tried to pull a goal back for City moments later but again Van Der Sar was equal to his effort. Ryan Giggs headed inches wide as he headed Valencia’s cross to the back post as United pushed for a third. Valencia shot inches wide a minute later as the half drew to a close. Half Time: Man City 0-2 Man Utd.

United controlled lots of the ball in the second half with passing, frustrating the City fans and players. United knew they had to win this match following two defeats at home to opponents they should be beating at home. Wayne Rooney had the ball in some space on the right for United but the ace forward could only shoot inches over the bar. Late on in the match United played some superb passes together. Wayne Rooney decided to take it on in the 86th minute and he looked to have been brought down by Lescott in the area but the ref again waved play on. Lass Diarra went down in the area in stoppage time also and again the ref waved play on. An angry United boss Golden said that “the ref should get his eyes tested following his turning down of three clear cut penalties this afternoon”. Full Time: Man City 0-2 Man Utd.

United close in on Liverpool

Manchester United picked up a stunning three points yesterday beating rivals Chelsea 4-1 at Stamford Bridge. United play Liverpool next at home which could decide the title race on Wednesday evening.

Javier Saviola was in for the dropped Michael Owen who has been underperforming of late in the absence of the injured Dimitar Berbatov. He didn’t take long to take advantage of being in the first team, firing United into lead with a brilliant solo effort beating two defenders before chipping the out coming Petr Cech expertly in the 2nd minute. United were pressing well as Chelsea looked stunned to be behind so early. Darren Fletcher was becoming a nuisance for Chelsea and he gave United their second goal in the 21st minute, capitalising on a loose, un-cleared ball in the Chelsea area and firing low and hard past check to the Manchester United fans delight. Didier Drogba produced a stunning twenty five yard shot which Van Der Sar saved excellently from. Steven Gerrard looked for a penalty for Chelsea moments later but the ref gave him a yellow card for diving, starting jeering chants from the Manchester United fans. United pressured again and Antonio Valencia’s cross was cleared as far as Man Utd legend Paul Scholes who smashed an 18 yard shot into the top corner, vintage Paul Scholes. Joe Cole headed a goal back for Chelsea in stoppage time to give them some hope from a Lampard corner. Half Time: Chelsea 1-3 Man Utd.

Lassana Diarra got the ball in plenty of space in the 46th minute but his thirty yard shot went just over the bar. Didier Drogba was a menace for United as he is for every team chipping Van Der Sar on this occasion, only for the ball to bounce back off the bar. A minute later Drogba was put clean through following a Steven Gerrard through ball and the Ivory Coast hit man smashed hist shot off the outside of the post. Chelsea’s fans could not believe their eyes. Ricardo Carvalho took the ball down twenty yards out and beat Ferdinand and Vidic before taking a heavy touch with Van Der Sar easily gathering when he could have scored. Javier Saviola produced another moment of magic to kill the game off, beating two defenders before firing into the net in front of the visiting fans. Lukas Podolski could have pulled a goal back instantly for Chelsea but the German International could only firing straight into Van Der Sar’s arms when well postioned. Darren Fletcher should have got his second and United’s fifth in the 85th minute but he fired over from six yards. Joe Cole shot inches wide in stoppage time from distance but Manchester United held on to thrash Chelsea and tie up a brilliant encounter for Wednesday at home to Liverpool. Full Time: Chelsea 1-4 Manchester United.

Chelsea start the match slow, as sunderland midfielder Andy reid take the advantage and dribble pass through Terry and head it just over the bar. a decent chance for Sunderland. In the 6th minute Manuel Iturra after a hard tacked over Barnetta and referee gave Iturra a yellow card. The First half ended 0:0

But after chelsea thought they can turn the match around Sunderland striker BoBo scored a 30yard screamer and sunderland fans was thrilled about that goal. 2:1 in the 61th minutes. But at the moment u just cant stop drogba from scoring. in the 69th minutes,Gerread wonderful through pass and drogba passes 2 defender and hitted it in the top left hand corner. Game on 2:2 after that goal those 2 team came back and fall. but steven Gerrard made the different he dribble passed 3 defender and smashes it with venom into the roof of the net! 3:2 chelsea looking to win this match. and they did. Final score Sunderland 2 chelsea 3. a good performance for these 2 team. but when u have drogba and Gerrard u cant stop them for scoring. these match proved it.

Great Result for United!

Manchester United gained a massive step in their quest for a Champions League quarter final last night, beating Villarreal 3-1 away from home, getting three vital away goals. United got revenge on Villarreal who beat them 3-0 in the same fixture a few weeks ago in the group stages. Manchester United will play Fulham away on Wednesday next in the league.

With emergency loan signings Tanque Silva and Sebastian Fernandez given immediate debuts, United were always going to be the underdogs with a rested side on show. United are having an injury crisis with Berbatov out for two weeks and Rooney out for six weeks. United began the better to this encounter, Sebastian Fernandez looked hungry for goals with his shot being cleared off the line. Frederic Kanoute nearly gave the hosts the lead when his header went inches wide with Van Der Sar beaten. United took the lead and got a vital away goal with debutant Sebastian Fernandez rounding Diego Lopez and finishing into the net. He then shot inches wide five minutes later as he looked delighted to be playing following a dismal spell at Arsenal. Luis Nani shot inches wide as United started to dominate. Capdevilla missed a great chance to get a goal back for the hosts but shot just wide of the target. Fernandez broke clear of the Villarreal defence in the thirty eighth minute and chipped the keeper from an acute angle to give United a second away goal. Half Time: Villarreal 0-2 Manchester United.

It took only six minutes of the second half for United to gain a massive goal and to give Villarreal a massive task. Sebastian Fernandez connected with Nani’s cross with a superb diving header to get a hat trick on his debut for United, a new hero perhaps? He then tried to chip Lopez but it went inches over on this occasion. Lopez denied Fletcher a stunning goal with a fine fingertip save from his shot from the edge of the area. Ibrahim Afellay nearly scored another for Man Utd but his shot went inches wide. A minute later he tried again but that effort went just wide also. Fletcher produced a brilliant save out of Diego Lopez again from 20 yards. Tanque Silva tried to get a goal on his debut for United but wasted two chances both times. Fernandez went for a fourth goal but he also shot wide. United could have got ten goals in this match. Late on Robert Pires hit a stunning thirty yard volley which sailed past the motionless Van Der Sar and into the top corner to give an easier task to Villarreal. They need to get two goals at Old Trafford now to progress. Full Time: Villarreal 1-3 Manchester United.

Alessandro Mat-trick the Hero!

Manchester United moved into first position on goal difference thanks to an Alessandro Matri hat trick on his second league start since arriving from Italy. He and Saviola have formed a terrific partnership with the strikers standing in for the injured Berbatov and Rooney. United play Everton at home on Saturday.

There was a question as to where the goals would come in this side with Rooney and Berbatov out for so long. Alessandro Matri arrived for a fee of 12m and has since scored four goals in two starts. He looks ready to fill in for the injured superstars and looks hungry to make a name for himself. United wanted to win this as they do every game but after the news of Liverpool’s slip up at home to Aston Villa, United knew this was a must win match.

Ryan Giggs cracked a shot inches wide after three minutes. Again Giggs hit a shot just wide as United looked for an early goal. But it was the home side who took the lead Theodor Bjarnason hit a cracking twenty yard shot into the top corner to the shock of everyone inside the ground. Clint Dempsey nearly added another but his shot went just wide of the target. Matri brought a good save out of Schwarzer and Saviola made him tip over a twenty yard shot a moment later. Half Time: Fulham 1-0 Manchester United.

United’s away fans behind the goal were urging their side on and Alessandro Matri was rising to their cheers and chants creating openings with his trickery. Antonio Valencia was released down the right hand side and he crossed for Matri who headed powerfully into the top corner past the helpless Mark Schwarzer. United’s away fans went wild. Jason Culina silenced the visiting fans a few minutes later, heading home Dempsey’s cross to give the home side the lead and to raise the roof off Craven Cottage. Ten minutes later and it was 2-2 Alessandro Matri bagged another this time beating the defender and rifling a shot past the advancing keeper. A minute later, Ryan Giggs cut in and out beating the defender before rifling a shot into the top corner to send the Manchester United fans into ecstasy. Culina hit the crossbar as Fulham looked for an equaliser before Matri was denied a hat trick by a superb save from Schwarzer. Matri broke down the right hand side and hit a stunning shot from twenty five yards which sailed into the top corner to give United a valuable three points and turning himself into a new hero. Full Time: Fulham 2-4 Manchester United.

Manchester United GC 88: Update

sfnman123epa_779967c.jpg

Rooney is nearing full fitness.

United Knocked Off Top Spot!

Manchester United have let their lead slip with only eight games to play. United have slipped up in recent weeks and they’re now two points behind Chelsea in first, with Chelsea still to play at Old Trafford before the end of the season. United started to stumble five games ago when Hayden Mullins headed Portsmouth a shock draw at OT. Manchester United then got beaten 1-0 at home to Blackburn Rovers, Brett Emerton with a curling shot. As Saviola was dropped, Alessandro Matri was brought back into the eleven, and netted the first in a 5-0 win away at Sunderland. United’s second string side were embarrassed by Derby County who knocked them out of the Fa Cup in the fourth round 6-4 at Pride Park. Midweek’s defeat at home to Aston Villa was not one United needed, Gabriel Agbonlahor was outstanding netting a brilliant hat trick and Richard Dunne headed another for Villa. United know they need to pick up form now and there is hope Wayne Rooney will be back before the end of the season

United sign Bale!

Manchester United have made their first signing of the summer in Tottenham winger Gareth Bale. Bale who impressed Golden last season has joined for Da Silva twins, Rafael and Fabio. United have been linked to other stars such as Eto'o, Lennon and Modric in recent weeks but Bale has become the first to join this summer. Golden had this to say, "Im thrilled to have signed such a good young prospect in Gareth Bale. I am sad to see Rafael and Fabio leave and wish them well in their careers. Bale will be a perfect replacement for Ryan (Giggs) when he steps down and will be used throughout next season."

TOTTENHAM TO SIGN NEXT BIG STAR!

With the signing of Pato and Muller Tottenham Hotspurs has been taking the move towards bigger and better things now the side is close to getting pen to paper on 23 year old Pierre Ducasse the Center Midfilder has played 39 games in France and now will take the big step to the EPL many say Hughes has made the rong chose in signings with the likes of VDV and more linked with the side Hughes has stood by his signing saying 7.5 million is a dream deal for the yong star.

Pierre has also talked to press saying this.

I am happy to make the move to the EPL I am looking forword to playing in a side with Pato and Muller this side has a big history and I hope to make my own here, I was linked with Manchester City and Everton but out of the 3 I see this side being the one to take the step forword this season.

Re: Gold Championship 88 | Match Reports | Transfers

The 1st game ended 2-1 for my Tottenham big post when my PC is up and going properly next up Uropa Cup Football for my B side going more for a good league run so players will be rested Toni will be the big name in the side as he is not a 1st team player.

{Pato is still to fit in to my plans and could miss up to a month before touching a ball as I am keeping him for when I need a top name.}

This means Toni + Pato both 92s are sitting around not in the 1st team.

Rose will be in the Uropa Cup Side.

Big news soon as I aim to get shot of Toni + Crouch for a CM.
