FINLAND

Finland is not a very well rated league - only the top few teams have players rated 80/81, so there are not many larger rises at all from the Finnish league...

Again, Iceland is a lowly-rated league, with decent risers few and far between...

Skuli Jon FRIDGEIRSSON (KR; 21): 77 - 79

Re: Section 3 Moneymakers (Finland, Iceland, Norway & Sweden)

Any idea whether Jo Inge Berget will rise in the next ratings?

Possibly rise to 81, that is as much as I can see though. Average 1st team rating is 81/82, and as BERGET went up 10 to 80 in the last rating changes, I can't see him rising much more

Okay, thank you. :) Should I hold on to him, or sell him after his rise? Is he a good long-term prospect?

BERGET is on loan at Stromsgodset from Udinese, who signed him from Lyn when he was just 17 in 2008. They must have saw something in him to sign him, but he has not played a game for Udinese - he was sent back on loan to Lyn immediately where he scored 5 goals in 27 appearances in the 2009 season.

Not too impressive - however, he has represented Norway at U18 and U21 level, and he has scored 2 goals in 3 games for the Norweigan U21 team.

Udinese have now loaned him to Stromsgodset for the duration of the upcoming 2010 Norweigan Premier League

He has already done a Swedish ratings thread.

Have a look Tiesto, i'll be very interested to see what you think.

Still going to be around 3 months until we reach the review of this section & a lot of football to be played before then...

It shouldn't be 3 months though, SM have got well behind in the rating changes.

However:

Norweigan league starts mid-March

Swedish season starts last week of March/first week of April

Finnish league starts mid-April

So not a lot of game time will have been played come the rating changes, if any at all

You're right, it shouldn't be but unfortunately it will. It isn't so much that they are behind in the ratings, the problem lies in that the ratings cycle now takes around 8 months & not the 6 months it once did. Obviously this has led to every league's review moving more & more out of synch with when it is actually being played.

This is a particular bugbear of mine, you might well see other posts of mine bemoaning this problem elsewhere. Unless SM overhaul their ratings schedule this problem will continue & indeed worsen.

Re: Section 3 Moneymakers (Finland, Iceland, Norway & Sweden)

Swedish risers added - thought better of including just any riser (e.g +1), because they aren't big moneymakers, so I have just tried to include ones that can make a good profit.

Any questions let me know, or anyone who wants to know any individual players in these leagues, just ask :)

Hope you find these all of some use!

Re: Section 3 Moneymakers (Finland, Iceland, Norway & Sweden)

Do you have any thoughts about a couple of youngsters at IFK Goteborg, they seem to be comparatively underrated (compared to other teams like Elfborg):

DYRESTAM, Mikael (CB/LB-18) 80 (Started last 17 games)

LUND, Erik (RB/LB-21) 82 (Played regularly since last rating change 7/09, 1g, 2asst
