Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread

This season it was different having Hull & Pompey in administration' date=' but when the 3 teams (probs Wolves, Wigan & West Ham) next season, that wont be the case!

Why on earth are teams allowed parachute money, just out of interest?[/quote']

As Stuart said, its to help cover the cost of the Wages and running of the clubs until they establish themselves in the lower division, probably to help avoid clubs being stripped for their best players as they cant afford to keep paying them and such.

On the topic of relegation' date=' I am wondering what are everyone's view on Everton going down?[/quote']

And nahh dont be daft mate, Birmingham, Aston Villa, Blackpool, West Brom, Wigan and West Ham are all infront of you in the possible chance of getting relegated queue.

Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread

I'm sorry, but if anyone feels Villa's squad is worse than or has less potential to improve than Everton's they need their head checking :)

The league positions (or at least Villa's position) can be attributed to Houllier not having the full backing of the dressing room for several months.

Pedro I blooming love you !!

After a season of mediocrity up he pop's scores the wining penalty and sets up the other two.

It was all going bad at half time as we were 1 nill down at half time, Took De silvestri off and went 3 at the back and scored 3 in the second half.

To be honest though i would have been gutted to have lost or even draw looking at the stats.

I'm the away team.

Three wins in a row! Ling time since that happened!

Beat Ipswich at their place 4-1' date=' very chuffed![/quote']

Just had a quick look at your report Ed,and I've never seen so many arrows in a SM game as I have in that one:eek:.

Anyway moving onto my own side and we comfortably beat Swindon 3-0 tonight,Senturk got a MOM on his debut and scored the first goal,Derek Boateng also signed off by scoring a brace as he will be leaving the club tomorrow, despite the win we didn't gain any ground on the top two as they both won,but most of the teams in the playoffs slipped up so we gained on them,a tricky game away to Torquay is next up but with 10 wins from the last 11 games I'm confident of a win.
