Season 11 - Turn 1

January 30th 2010

Boston United 5 - 2 Walsall

Goals: Rusk, Greaves (X2), Joachim, Lennon

Managed a win in my first game in charge. Couldn't do any transfer buisness before the game, so had to try and get my tactics right.

I was up against a similar quality side, in Walsall, who have the likes of Graham Murty and Anthony Gerrard in their squad.

Played a 3-5-2, and it worked to perfection, Greaves managing a brace from defensive midfield.

Will hopefully have a much better looking squad by my next game.

Line-Up: Vrteski, Thiago Michel, Canoville, White, Greaves, Garay, Lennon, Rusk, Emnes, Williams, Joachim

Re: Boston United - EC47 - Blog

Keep us informed how you get on. I enjoyed reading what transfers you have done to date.

My favourite team even though I was born in Boston and now live 200 miles away' date=' I still miss watching them at York Street.

Best of luck with your Boston team.[/quote']

Thanks,

The first three posts will be kept up to date, and i will post on here activley

This is actually quiet a competive divison, with Barcelona only having two players and Real Madrid only having five players (meaning Guti is valued at £9.6 million) so it's quite hard finding risers

Boston Transfer News

In's

Diego Renan - Loan

Andrea Poli - Loan

Out's

Marvin Emnes - £5,500,000

I have today managed to secure the double loan signing of Diego Renan and Andre Poli, who both join from divison 1 side Leicester City. They will be huge additions to my team, and will be a major part of whatever i can manage to achieve this season.

The sale of Marvin Emnes has also been finalised, giving me a lot of funds for risers in Section 1 of the summer league changes. With plenty of players on their way into the club

Season 11 - Turn 2

February 3rd 2010

Rotherham United 0 - 0 Boston United

Managed a draw, against a very strong Rotherham side which i'm pleased with.

This leaves me in 5th place after the first two games, which is a good achievment for me.

I fielded a much stronger squad, then in the opening game of the season, with loanees Poli and Renan starting along with a couple of new signings.

I will be hoping to announce a stronger squad in my next game, with plenty of 80+'s if i can sign my targets.

Line-Up: Renan, Thiago Maciel, Khokolov, Khacheridi, Greaves, Garay, Joachim, Poli, Ben Khalifa, Williams, Ionov

I've managed to complete the signings of Balyaikin, Yarmolenko and Ignatjev. All will challenge for a regular place in the team and all are set to rise very soon.

Still have over £13,000,000 to spend so looking to bring in a lot more players who will rise as soon as possible.

Irveng Avilla - £1,010,000

Rodrigo Cabrera - £275,000

Vasyl Pryima - £275,000

Signed Avilla for an over-the-rate fee, but i will still make a profit when he does rise. But, Cabrera and Pryima are both very cheap signing, both in for rises. Have placed bids on another 6 players, again all risers, all from either the summer league changes or Section 1 changes.

Season 11 - Turn 3

February 6th 2010

Boston United 2 - 0 Yeovil Town

Goals: Greaves, Williams

Picked up my second win of the season, lifting me up to 2nd and in the Automatic promotion places.

Forgot to do my tactics, so played the same side bar Ellender coming in for Khokolov who picked up an injury in the last game.

The key to the win was picking up 69% possesion, allowing me to control the game from start to finish. Renan picked up a rating of 10, despite only having 5 shots to deal with which is a bit wierd.

Next up is 5th placed Colchester United, away from home, where i will need to do my tactics if i'm going to pick up 3 points.

Line-Up: Renan, Thiago Maciel, Ellender, Khacheridi, Greaves, Garay, Joachim, Poli, Ben Khalifa, Williams, Ionov

Have completed the signings of two Egyptian risers, after my win over Yeovil. Kamel is expected to rise +10, to 84, with Ali expected to rise +6, to 82. So both are great additions to the team.

I've also released 68 rated forward, Daryl Clare aswell as 65 rated forwards Newsham and Daley. As i now have brought in 9 players who can play upfront, above the rating of 70 so their no longer needed.

My team is now looking squad for the Section 1 changes, with four more Argentinan's coming in today. There'll still be a lot more players on their way, with a further £9,300,000 but i'm just checking that every deal I make is the right one.

Have accepted a bids for a few high CV valued players today, so there's a lot more cash coming in, but i'm still going to keep signing young players set to rise rather than big names players

Got a lot of money from these sales, and hopefully the replacements for these players will gel into the team well.

Season 11 - Turn 4

February 10th 2010

Colchester United 1 - 0 Boston United

The first defeat of the season for me, away to possibly the best side in the league in Colchester. The likes of Astori, Ninis and D.Cisse were all starting for Colchester, and it was always likely that defeat would be the outcome.

With a Cisse goal on 15 minutes, and only being able to get 5 shots in during the match, the defeat was sealed very early on.

I move down to 4th, but i'm still in the play-offs. Next up is a home match, against 10th placed Northampton Town who have a better squad than me.

Line-Up: Renan, Neville, Tadrosse, White, Ignatjev, Ionov, Balyakin, Poli, Yarmolenko, Williams, Mkrtchyan

Season 11 - Turn 5

February 13th 2010

Boston United 4 - 1 Northampton

Goals: Yarmolenko, Poli, Balyaikin, Ignatjev

Got a comfortable win in a game i was only expecting a draw from to be honest. Decided to stick with the same side for this game, and it paid off. Still in 4th though, with everyone in the play-offs on 10 points.

Maintanance is holding things up for me, as i'm having to wait a lot longer then i should be for my players to rise.

Had Ignatjev sent off, so he'll be suspended for a while, will play a strong side in my next league match, away to 5th placed Wycombe Wanderers.

Line-Up: Renan, Neville, Tadrosse, White, Ignatjev, Ionov, Balyakin, Poli, Yarmolenko, Williams, Mkrtchyan

I've gone on a spending spree for the last couple of days, with 10 players set to join tommorow aswell as today's signings.

Smashed my club record signing twice with the incomings today.

Some of these will start the next match, but some might not have the fitness too.

Hopefully all the signings will come in before the Section 1 changes, which could be a while with the maintance

Yet more arrivals have come through the door, really adding a lot of depth, and their will be some depth in quality once they have risen.

Have pretty much been able to land all the risers i've wanted which is a boost for me, and i will continue to spend with a budget of around £6,000,000 left to spend.

Play-offs is still my aim, but i have a little bit more confidence of promotion with the players i've brought in.

Daniel Opare - £350,000

Season 11 - Turn 6

February 17th 2010

Wycombe Wanderers 2 - 4 Boston United

Goals: Watanabe, Mkhitaryan, Aued, Balyakin

Managed to get a very good away win, against a very tough Wycombe side, to take top spot in the league after 6 games.

Leading throughout the game really, the risers on display played very well with Balyaikin scoring a goal aswell as winning Man of the Match.

Next up for me is 8th placed Tranmere Rovers at home. Tranmere is managed by forumer, Chewis, who has a lot of big players at Tranmere, with the likes of Sesmhov, Di Vaio, Nunes, Franco Di Santos, Bowyer, Hennesey and plenty more. This will be an extremley tough match, but with home advantage i think i have a chance of upsetting the odds to win the match.

Line-Up: Ali, Pryima, Khacheridi, Aleksanyan, Kamel, Aued, Mkhirtaryan, Jara, Watanabe, Balyaikin

Season 11 - Turn 7

February 20th 2010

Boston United 4 - 1 Tranmere Rovers

Goals: Ionov, Watanabe (X2), Yarmolenko

Did very well to beat Lewis Scorgie's (Chewis's) Tranmere 4-1, to stay top of division 4. Watanabe with a brace, and Yarmolenko and Ionov also scoring,

Although with the South American risers back-firing on me with the confusion of the new rating schedule (Which i still don't know) my league form is superb.

Next up is Crystal Palace at home, in the 1st round of the shield which will be a very difficult fixture.

Line-Up: Renan, Balyaikin, Khokolov, Valentini, Khacheridi, Poli, Ionov, Mkhitiryan, Sadaev, Watanabe, Yarmolenko
