Transfers So far.

Getafe are going for 1 or 2 transfer but the signing of

Jacques Faty

4039_1209755861.jpg

The fee fee was 7.7million which we snapped on as we needed a CB to keep the back line solid and he will with Cata Diaz.

First Game in Charge

149_1190441126.gif VS 138_1199723643.gif

The game was a very entertaining matc final score was 3-2 with Robert Soldado picking up 2 goals in the 21st and 32nd

Then Athletico Club came back to make it 2-2 with goals from Koikili in the 48th minute and Toquero in the 51st minute

It was all even going into the end of the match then the 88th minute Getafes' Del Moral Manu scored a half volley and won Getafe the game against a strong Athletico Club.

IS THIS GOOD ENOUGH STIFLER

Re: Gold Championship 101! Match reports and Transfer news.

picture.php?albumid=156&pictureid=1070picture.php?albumid=156&pictureid=1071The brilliance of Victor OBINNA proved the difference in this hugely entertaining clash at La Rosaleda. A hat-trick of goals for the Nigerian meant that hosts Malaga came out on top over the plucky visitors of Xerez.

Iprahim (Malaga boss) was celebrating early on when BAHA put his side in front after only two minutes. A further goal for DUDA followed by a double from OBINNA meant the home side were cruising at 4-0, and MORENO’s strike just before half time barely tarnished the joy of a 4-1 lead at the interval.

That lead was then extended to 5-1 moments after the break, OBINNA scoring a scrappy effort to complete this hat-trick. Xerez refused to lie down, however, and made the scoreline a little more respectable thanks to goals from FRANCIS and MORENO’s second of the day.

Great entertainment for all involved.

picture.php?albumid=156&pictureid=1072

Barcelona 1 – 1 Atletico Madrid

Atletico bounced back from last weeks loss against Sevilla with a creditable point in the Nou Camp. IBRAHIMOVIC gave Winston’s side the lead with a diving header on thirteen minutes. Kuno AGUERO equalised for the visitors just before the break – a deserved parity for the men from Madrid.

The odds tilted to Barca’s advantage when FORLAN stupidly got himself sent off for a second bookable offence on sixty minutes. Atletico held on, however, a claimed a precious point – much to the frustration of the home fans.

Almeria 2 – 3 Sevilla

Sevilla make it two wins on the bounce with a decent win away at Almeria. Goals from LUIS FABIANO, NAVAS and NEGREDO in reply to a double from UCHE ensured the visitors of the points. Stifler said – “It’s a good result to follow last weeks important win over Atletico.”

Athletic Club 1 – 1 Zaragoza

Athletic gain their first point of the season and Zaragoza remain unbeaten thanks to a fairly tame encounter in the Basque country. TOQUERO and GABI got the goals in a very tight match with very few clear cut chances.

Espanyol 2 – 0 Getafe

Getafe came away from Estadi Cornellà-El Prat bemoaning their lack of ability in front of goal – a meagre one shot on target meant that they were always going to struggle to pick up any points against a more clinical Espanyol. Japanese schemer NAKAMURA with two goals in an impressive display.

Tenerife 0 – 0 Villarreal

Both teams fired a blank in a deceptively open game that see’s Villarreal remain unbeaten and Tenerife gain their first point of the season against tough opposition.

Osasuna 1 – 2 Valladolid

Gordon Lam’s Vallodolid sit proudly atop La Liga after their perfect start to the season continued at the expense of Osasuna’s. Goals from SISI and BORJA for the visitors sandwiched an equaliser from JUANFRAN and underlined the impressive start that the men from Castile and Leon.

Mallorca 0 – 0 Valencia

Neither side could produce a goal in a match that quickly settled into a pattern of Valencia possession versus Mallorca counters. The side from the Mestalla were frustrated by a stubborn Mallorca backline and were fortunate to come away with a draw. The impressive DAVID VILLA was the only plus point for the title pretenders – Mallorca fans went home praising their sides resilience.

Deportivo 1 – 1 Sporting Gijon

Sporting earned their first point of the season at the Riazor and probably should have got more after an enterprising display against Depor. SASTRE opened the scoring in the second half only for the impressive RIKI to snatch a point for the hosts, three minutes from time.

Racing Santander 0 – 5 Real Madrid

The galacticos of Madrid plundered the home side – DIARRA, GARAY and a masterclass of a hat-trick from the evergreen RAUL gave them the three points in a thoroughly one-sided match. After a stuttering start in which they had picked up just a draw from their first two match, Pauley will be hoping that this showing will be a springboard for the next few weeks.

Real Madrid start of season report:

Poor start but things getting better

League Matchday 1- Real Madrid 0 Deportivo 2

Real Madrid started the League campaign in shocking fashion, crashing to a shock defeat to a well drilled Deportivo and immediately placing questions over whether Pauley is the right man for the job. Two goals in the first half by Depor and the sending off of Sergio Ramos completed a miserable day for Real.

SMFA Champ Cup Grp Stage-Fix 1- Club America 1 Real Madrid 1

Real started there quest for European glory with a slightly disappointing result in Mexico. Real started wel enough with Raul putting them ahead however Cabanas pulled Club America level and the rest of the game was an evenly contested affair with neither side doing enough to earn the win.

League Matchday 2- Mallorca 1 Real Madrid 1

Another laboured performance from Real as they struggled to a point on the Island. It was only a late equalizer from Marcelo that spared Real's blushes as Mallorca dominated proceedings for large spells.

League Matchday 3- Racing Santander 0 Real Madrid 5

Real finally got there campaign off and running with a fantastic display which was orchestrated by the legend that is Raul who came to the party big style with a hat-trick, Granero and Lass Diarra completed the rout.

League Matchday 4- Real Madrid 3 Malaga 2

Real earnt there first victory of the season in front of there fans at the Bernabeu with a close fought victory in an entertaining game against a Malaga side with very attacking intentions. Malaga proved they were not overawed by taking a 2nd min lead however goals from Higuain, Gago and Marcelo ensured that Real earnt the points.

These results leave Real in 4th at this early stage with the leaders being surprise package Vallodalid in what is already proving to be a very tight well contested League.

In transfer news nothing major to report Dudek, Metzelder and Ruben De La Red have left the club bringing in 29.1m, whilst the only major arrival has been CB Leo from Palmerias, whilst promising youngsters in the shape of Mario Fernandes, Kramaric, Cuero, Marcelo Alonso, Cairney, Colak, Bruma have also come in at a total outlay of 23.1m.

Barca update:

1st March; SMFA Cup group A - BARCELONA 1 - 1 Chivas de Guadalajara

A disappointing result in Winston's second game as boss. Barca will be playing their second string in cup competitions this season but even so, its still a very strong team they have. Expectations are high. Silva Vagner Love got the goal for Barca.

3rd March; Division 1 - BARCELONA 2 - 2 Zaragoza

Another disappointing performance from the Catalan's ending with a draw. They were lucky to get that though as they left it late to make any impact. Second half goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Franck Ribery earned the point.

6th March; Division 1 - BARCELONA 1 - 1 Atletico Madrid

Barcelona's third draw in a row. Worrying times as Atletico come to the Nou Camp and dominate Barca's first team. Ibrahimovic with the goal.

10th March; Division 1 - Xerez 0 - 7 BARCELONA

Braces from Ribery, Ibrahimovic and Messi, plus a Dani Alves strike cap a wonderful night for Barca. All of the frustrations of the previous three poor performances backlashed on the unfortunate Xerez team.

12th March; SMFA Champions Cup Group A - Werder Bremen 1 - 3 BARCELONA

Leite Adriano's double and Juan Vargas get the goals to give Barca their first win in the SMFA Cup this season. Things starting to look up for Winston's men.

13th March; Division 1 - Almeria 2 - 5 BARCELONA

Another goal fest for Barca. Messi nets a hat-risk and Keita and Ibra get a goal each. Its looking more an more like these Barca players are starting to click.

15th March; Spanish Shield Round 2 - BARCELONA 1 - 2 Rayo Vallecano

A shock exit for Barcelona. Their second team still showing signs of teething problems as they are matched by lowly Rayo. Vagner Love got the Barca goal

17th March; Division 1 - BARCELONA 2 - 1 Athletic Club

Barca bounce back from their shock Cup exit and out play Athletic Club. The only disappointment was not scoring more. Andres Iniesta and Silva Ciro's first Barca goal give them the win.

Barcelona's five goals came from their only five shots on target during the game. Espanyol will be very disappointed with that as they did create quite a few chances themselves. Barca's abilty to take their chances led to them winning. They stay second in La Liga and within touch of table topping Valladolid.

Re: Gold Championship 101! Match reports and Transfer news.

Real Madrid Update:

SMFA Champ Cup Grp Stage Fix 2- Real Madrid 0 PSV 5

There were calls for the managers head after this humiliation at the Bernebau, Despite dominating play in General, PSV took full advantage of the chances they created as Real crashed to a humiliating defeat, one of the worst in the club's history.

League Matchday 5- Real Madrid 4 Xerez 2

Real got back to winning ways but not without a fgight as minnows Xerez had a real go at the Bernabeu but eventually Real's class shone through to win the argument and ease some of the anger after the Champ League performance. Vanb Der Vaart the star of the show with a brace whi;lst there were also goals for Marcelo and Higuain.

Spanish Shield Round 2- Real Betis 1 Real Madrid 0

Madrid's stuttering start to the season continued as they crashed out of the cup to Div 2 Betis. A Single goal proved to be the difference on a night when Real struggled to create openings and were well beaten by the lower division team.

League Matchday 6- Sporting Gijon 1 Real Madrid 1

Real managed to earn a point wit yet another unconvincing display. Despite dominating play in general Real again suffered for there wastefulness and were grateful to Van Der vaart for firing in a 2nd half equaliser to take something from the game.

League Matchday 7- Real Madrid 3 Valencia 2

The calls for Pauley's head were in full cry come the 72nd minute trailing 2-0 to Valencia, before the Real we all expect finally showed up with a blistering comeback to stun Valencia and hopefully kickstart Real onto a decent run which can propel them up the table. Marcelo, Benzema and Kaka getting the goals to cap off a thrilling game.

The results see Real in 4th place currently as they have enjoyed a steady rather than spectacular start to the League campaign. The lack of depth had been hitting Real hard but Pauley has moved to ease some of these concerns with the signings of Fred for 8.9m from Fluminese and Lodeiro from Ajax for 7m. The youngster is seen as an exciting prospect and can also add something to the first team squad in the meantime. Intense speculation also is in the air with rumours Lassana Diarra could be leaving the club although Pauley has said all negotiations will remain private until there is anything concrete decided although Pauley makes it clear he is very happy with Lass and if he stays he will be delighted to have a player of his calibre.

Real Madrid Update

Steady Performances but a hammer blow to Trophy chances

League Matchday 8- Vaildollid 1 Real Madrid 3

Real Beat surprise league leaders Vaidollid with a convincing display. Again it took Real a hour to get going as has been the case in so many games recently however another quickfire burst reminescent of the Valencia game saw a seven minute spell produce 3goals from Higuain, Guti and Marcelo before a late lapse in concentration allowed Vaidollid to gain a consolation goal.

League Matchday 9- Real Madrid 1 Villareal 1

Real were dispapointing in this game as Villareal more than held there own at the Bernabeu and deservedly left with a point. Real opened the game at a frenetic pace which was rewarded by a goal from Benzema, howevr instead of inspiring Madrid they seemed to go into there shell and Villareal slowly got on top and were rewarded with a late equalizer from Llorente.

These results see Real slip down to 5th in the Spanish pecking order 5points behind leaders Barcelona. but they are unbeaten in seven league games and are starting to show some consistency, however the hammer blow came in the form of an injury to star man Cristiano Ronaldo who has got a long term injury and will be out for several weeks, it remains to be seen how Madrid can cope without there talisman and with a relatively thin squad it comes as a real blow.

SMFA Champions Cup Grp Stage Fix 3- Zenit 5 Real Madrid 6

In a crucial game after only collecting 1point from there first 2group games Madrid travelled to Russia knowing nothing but a win would suffice and earnt it in an early contender for game of the season. The match swung both ways with exhillarating attacking football and woeful defending making for a fantastic spectacle. madrid got the win eventually with the star man being Kaka with a hat-trick whilst Lass Diarra, Higuain and debutant Fred also on the scoresheet. The win moves Madrid up to 2nd in the group at the halfway stage but it is still extremely tight.

Update;

24 Mar - Division 1: BARCELONA 2 - 0 Tenerife

Seydou Keita and Zlatan Ibrahimovic with the goals. SHould have scored more but I am happy if the team keeps winning.

27 Mar - Division 1: Osasuna 0 - 2 BARCELONA

Ibrahimovic nets again. Dani Alves scored the other. Another clean sheet is good but we should of scored more again. Aome good managers in this league and I am due a blip so goal difference will be important.

29 Mar - SMFA Champions Cup Group A: Galatasaray 1 - 3 BARCELONA

Juan Vargas, Alejandro Gomez on his debut and Rodriguez Pedro keep up Barca's unbeaten start in the SMFA Cup.

Season is going well. Still have to come up against the big boys in the Leauge but we will be playing them with a head of steam.

Re: Gold Championship 101! Match reports and Transfer news.

Real Madrid Update:

Struggling in the League but Champions League looking better and two major transfer deals concluded

League Matchday 10- Getafe 2 Real Madrid 5

Real travelled to neighbours etafe and put on a clinic of attacking football to sweep Getafe aside. Real displaed a real attacking verve dominating the game and getting the goals there general dominance deserved through Drenthe, Benzema, Van Der Vaart, Raul and Fred.

League Matchday 11- Real Madrid 3 Real Zaragoza 1

Real eased to another home victory with a professional display to see off a battling Zaragoza side, goals from youngster Lodeiro and a brace from the evergreen Real legend Raul putting Real in a comfotable position before Zaragoza got a consolation goal late in the piece.

League Matchday 12- Sevilla 4 Real Madrid 2

Real travelled to Roman Sanchez Arena for a huge game but all there best laid plans were ruined by the 12th minute dismissal of Benzema whose petulance cost Real dear as it was always gunna be tough at a quality Sevilla side with the full compliment yet alone down to ten men for nearly the whole match. Real fought bravely and goals from new signing Navas against his former club and Granero pulled back to 3-2 down but a strike from Kanoute settled the contest in Sevilla's favour.

League Matchday 13- Real Madrid 5 Atletico Madrid 3

An amazing game which erupted into life in the 2nd half after a bore draw in the first half. The game burst into life to create one of the all time classic Madrid derby's. Goals from Mahamadou Diara, Navas, Higuain and a brace from Granero settling the game in Real's favour.

SMFA Champions League Grp Stage Fix 4- Real Madrid 2 Club America 0

Real earned a vital victory here to put them into 2nd place in the group with 2games to go, 4points clear of 3rd placed PSV. In truth it was a relatively simple victory earned with relative comfort through goals by Lassana Diarra and Guti.

League Matchday 14- Barcelona 2 Real Madrid 1

Real Madrid were narrowly edged out in "El Classico" as a great fight was settled by one piece of genius by the main man Lionel Messi for Barcelona. Xabi Alonso fired Real into a deserved lead only to be pegged back 2mins later. The rest of the game was very even both clubs creating and spurning chances Real were definetley worthy of a point but Messi's late show is a real dagger in the heart to every Madrid fan.

These results leave Real well off the pace in La Liga sitting in 4th on 27points 11 point behind runaway leaders Barcelona and behind neighbours Atletico Madrid and srprised package Viadollid.

Some good news has come in the form of two major transfer deals completed in deals which see Jesus Navas join Real in exchange for Rafael Van Der Vaart and Royston Drenthe, whilst young Spanish sensation Sergio Canales joins from Racing Santander for 13.6m.

"I am delighted with the deals we have a shortgae of wide players and with Ronaldo's long term injury it needed addressing. Navas is a fantastically skilled specialised winger whilst Canales has been recognised as one of the best young talents in football and we are delighted to secure the services of two fantastically skilled players whilst adding a more Spanish feel to our ever improving squad"

Re: Gold Championship 101! Match reports and Transfer news.

Real Madrid Update;

Real gather momentum at vital stage of the season

League Matchday 15- Real Madrid 1 Almeria 0

After the disappointment in "El-Classico" and the 88th minute strike by Messi, it was vital Real responded and they did with an unconvincing victory against an Almeria side who deserve all the plaudits for giving Real a really hard time and in truth deserved a point, the game was settled by a solitary strike by Kaka who pauley has given free reign in the side to lately in a show of faith in the Brazilian maestro.

League Matchday 16- Atletic Bilbao 1 Real Madrid 4

Real hit top gear at the Sn Mames stadium convincingly pummeling Bilbao in a entertaining game, Xabi Alonso fired Real ahead before long-term real target javi Martinez levelled the scores, this however inspired rather than deflated Real as they set about there business with passion, verve and no little skill. Strikes from Navas, Xabi alonso again and the evergreen Raul sealing a fantastic away day for the men from Madrid.

League Matchday 17- Real Madrid 2 Espanyol 1

Real effectively settled this contest ithin the first five minutes as goals from Pepe and Lassana Diarra established a position of control and despite a late consolation for Espanyol, it did not deflate Real and it was a case of job done as Real held on with comfort.

SMFA Champs Cup Grp Stage Fix 5- PSV 0 Real Madrid 2

Real avenged there humiliating 5-0 home defeat to PSV earlier in the group stage with a professional European performance in Holland counter-attacking beautifully to seal the win through 2nd half strikes from Mahamadou Diarra and Marcelo, also sealing Real's qualifacation from the group as they and PSV are clear at the top with a game to go.

League Matchday 18- Tenerife 1 Real Madrid 3

This was effectively the "Ricardo Kaka" show as kaka tore through the Tenerife defence scoring twice withinthe opening 2mins in a blistering opening to the game. pepe again got on the scoresheet from defence before Tenerife scored a consolation goal but Real were unpeturbed and there good run continues.

These results leave Real now within touching distance only 2points behind barca who since "El-Classico" have buckled with 3very disappointing defeats, not for madrid however who are flying at the minute and putting enormous pressure on there main rivals, city rivals Atletico are the nearest challengers after that followed by Vaidollid and Sevilla.

Re: Gold Championship 101! Match reports and Transfer news.

Real Madrid Update:

Real stuttering in mid-season:

League Matchday 19- Real Madrid 3 Osasuna 3

Real slipped to a disappointing home draw against lowly Osasuna as despite taking the lead 3x defensive frailties hit Madrid hard as Osasuna left with a well deserved point. One man extremely disappointed with Karim Benzema who despite hittng a fantastic hat-trick still could not end up on the winning side.

League Matchday 20- Deportivo 5 Real Madrid 1 :o

Real succumbed to a devestating and embaresing defeat at the Jhann Du Plessis stadium as Deportivo soaked up the pressure and hit Real on the break in devestating fashion scoring with every one of there goalscoring opportunities. Depor raced into a 5goal lead and only a late goal from Kaka gave Real a miniscule bit of consolation on a humbling night for Madrid.

League Matchday 21- Real Madrid 4 Mallorca 1

Real got back to winning ways with a come from behind victory against theilanders from Mallorca. Navas, a brace from the in form Benzema and Brazillian Maestro Kaka making all the difference and saw Real ease to a much welcomed victory.

SMFA Champ Cup Grp Stage Fix 6- Real Madrid 3 Zenit 2

Wth qualifacation already in the bag Pauley sprung a small surprise by giving competitive game to future potential stars in Canales, Mario Fernandes and young Brazilian Midfielder Paulinho, however it was the established stars in Granero, Raul and Guti who ensured Real topped the group and earnt a last 16 clash against Inter Milan in the undisputed heavyweight clash of the last 16.

League Matchday 22- Real Madrid 4 Racing Santander 4

Aquite amazing game at the Bernabeu ended with yet more dropped points by the Galacticos of madrid who again were involved in a thrill aminute game wich saw Racing 4-3 up inside 49minutes, however they were enied the win by a 83rd minute equalizer from Benzema who was completing yet another hat-trick and Marcelo with the other goal for Madrid.

Real currently sit 3rd on 44points but are heartened by the fact that Barcelona have also ben slipping up and are only 4points clear at the top the chasing pack having been far away at one point are closing in as teams such as Vaidollid, Sevilla, Valencia and Atletico Madrid are making a good run at joining the race for La Liga

Well I'll be demanding Rediculously high prices for Mata & Silva. Pato is TB, and just won't be leaving, while Pablo H will take a very good offer. :o:D

I'm sorry, I love watching Valencia play and those 3 players (+ Villa) are the main reason. :o

Thus, I do not want to let them leave. B)
