Re: Burys Rise to the top

Bury 4-1 Carlisle

Bury continued their fantastic form with a 4-1 win against mid-table Carlisle. A debut goal from Charles N'zogbia gave Bury a 1-0 lead at half time. Carlisle equalised on the 65th minute, but 3 late goals from Pjanic, Sandra and Mario Fernandes sealed the victory.

Bury are now 32 games unbeaten in the league, and need 10 points to reach a century.

*Transfer Update*

Quite a lot of players have left the club since Saturday. Gil, Orozco, Juarez, Ocampo, Alanis and Gum left for a total £21 million. Marc Spicer was very quick to spend that money, bringing in Yann M'Vila from Rennes for £3.3 million. "We are delighted to have Yann join us, he is a quality player, and has been recently called up to represent France at just 19 years old".

davidluiz.jpg

There was an even bigger signing, which was finalised in the late hours of Saturday. David Luiz will join for £6.7 million from Benfica. The Brazilian will make his debut alongside fellow country man Toloi on Satuday.

Bury 2-1 Nottingham Forest

A tight scrappy game with all the goals coming in the first half. Sandro opened the scoring after 22 minutes, and the lead was doubled 15 minutes later with a header from Adebayor. (That goal now puts Adebayor as the leagues top goal scorer with 17 goals). Forest scored just before half time, but Bury hanged on to the win.

Spainish star joins Bury

Bury have today announced that they have broken their record transfer fee after signing Xabi Alonso from Real Madrid. Alonso was always a huge target for my 4-2-3-1 formation, and am delighted to have such a talented player. The deal cost £12 million, aswell as giving Charles N'Zogbia.

xabialonsonew4.jpg

We have also improved our defence, bringing young french Left Back Aly Cissokho to the club, a deal involving £1 million and Paul Konchesky, and Spainish goalkeeper David De Gea has joined for £2.5 million.

Bury are now just one game away from an unbeaten season after a compfortable win against Barnsley. Goals from Sissoko, Candreva and Adebayor in the first half . Our last games is against 19th Bristol Rovers, who were relegated this evening. Alonso did not make his debut, and will watch from the stands for the final game.

Just days after signing Alonso, Bury broke there transfer record again after agreeing terms with Barcelona to sign Gerard Pique for £22 million. "Im am a huge admirer of Pique, and been keen to sign him for a long time. We feel he has the ability to push us into the Premier Leauge".

Re: Burys Rise to the top

UNDEFEATED!!!

Well we rounded off the season by thrashing Bristol Rovers 6-1. Di Maria and Pedro scored 2 goals each, Candreva and Adebayor finished the season in style. The result means Bury have gone the entire league season unbeaten, winning 35 and 3 draws (6 Points dropped, which is pretty good!:D)

buryleague.jpg

*Transfer Update*

Bury continued to strengthen for next season by bringing another two world class defenders. Walter Samuel joins from Inter Milan for £8 million, and Dani Alves is the second player to arrive from Barcelona, after a deal worth £25 million was completed.

In other news, Bury are debating on selling Adebayor for £35 million to strengthen other areas.

Re: Burys Rise to the top

Bury 3-1 Aston Villa

Opening day of the season, lots of debuts for Bury, but we have overcome one of the stronger teams in the league, which is a good sign of things to come. Villa did take an early lead after Samuel scored an own goal 5 minutes into the game. Pjanic quickly equalisted, and Adebayor put bury ahead just before half time. Ozil scored on his debut to round off a great opening day in league 2. Pjanic was awarded MOM, with a goal and both assists.

Bury changed their formation for this season. Last year was a 4-2-3-1. I have decided to go more attacking and do a 4-3-3 wingers, which should work well.

*Transfer Update*

Another big star has agreed to join Bury on a 3 year deal. Carlos Tevez signed from Real Madrid in a deal costing £14 million, aswell as exchanging Lucas Barrios.

carlostevez.jpg

There is one more player that I am hoping to buy in the next few weeks, so I can have a go at all 3 competitions :)

Re: Burys Rise to the top

Bury finally taste defeat

Fulham caused a huge upset after a Bobby Zamora goal was enough to beat Bury 1-0. The defeat ended an unbeaten run which had lasted 47 games, and a first loss for 6 months. We had tested a new formation for the game, and seems like it hasnt worked. I will probably revert to my old formation, which went unbeaten for so long.

*Transfer Update*

Bury are pleased to announce another big signing, with Jesus Navas joining from Sevilla for £9 million + Sandro. He is probably my last big signing for a while as I now have now spent all of my £160 million :P

Bury 5-0 Leicester

Bury got back to winning ways afther thrasing Leicester City 5-0. Manager Marc Spicer decided to drop Adebayor to the bench, and give Tevez his first start, and what a good decision it was. Wesley Sneijder got his first Bury goal just before half time. Then Tevez stole the show, with a 25 minute hat-trick. Ozil rounded off the game late on.

*Transfer Update*

No new signings as cash is getting low :(

Re: Burys Rise to the top

Bury 3-0 Charlton

After a dissapointing 0-0 draw in midweek against Swansea, I decided to swap many players around. I went back to my favoured 4-2-3-1 formation, dropped Pjanic to play both Adebayor and Tevez, and Pedro replaced Di Maria. This will most likely be my starting 11 from now on.

The game was over by half time. Adebayor opened on 6 minutes, Pedro doubled 8 minutes later, and Pedro scored again before half time. Dominated possesion, but worried with Badstubber getting a match rating of 4 (He is dropped!)

Bury up to 4th in the table, 5 points behind Ipswich.

*Transfer Updated*

No signings so far, but hoping to bring in some young Paraguay players before Mondays cup game against Burton Albion.

A surprisingingly tight game against a team fighting relegation. Pedro won the game late on, Adebayor winning the MOM award. Bury also won their cup game on Monday, another tight game which Bury had to win in a penalty shoot out.

Bury 1-0 Blackpool

Bury were left frustrated after only beating Blackpool 1-0. The goal came in the first minute, Adebayor with the goal. It was a night of missed chances, Bury out playing Blackpool with many shots, but alot going wide. The win puts Bury top of Division 2.

Next game is a tough trip to West Ham

*Transfer Update*

Bury 1-0 West Ham

Similar to Wednesdays game at Blackpool, Bury created plenty of chances, but again were struggling to find the net. Tevez did get the only goal after 15 minutes. Pepe was given a red card after 37 minutes, but Bury were never threathened by the Hammers.

With other results going our way, Bury now have a 3 point lead.
