Re: English Championship 2933 Reporting thread

rondon2.jpg

It is not fully understood why Ronaldo asked for a donkey, but according to our source this is just one of many strange requests made by the 25yr old star "He calls all the time asking for things like that, Midgets, Gerbils you name it, he's asked for it". when quized this morning about lastnights bedroom antics Ronaldo refused to comment "I don't know what your talking about" adding "I've never heard of the BoobyTrap"

It remains to be seen if Ronaldo will play in tonights game at home to Stoke City after losing his place in the team to Gabriel Obertan after questions were raised over his fitness, But this will surely disgust the United fans who are growing tired of thier star forward after many reports of latenight partying and his growing waistline. One fan said "If he keeps this up there will be two fat Ronaldos".

The two girls and the donkey were still un-identified lastnight, so if you know who they are please call the SM news desk on 08457 413121

Zamora: ‘It was a rush of blood in the head’

Bobby Zamora has apologised for his horrendous tackle on Xavi which resulted in an instant sending off and leaving Xavi nursing a broken arm which could force him out of the game for months.

The English central forward turned from hero to villain in the space of 5 minutes, after scoring the opening goal in the third minute of the match. He over-enthusiastically lunged forward into the Spanish playmaker, leaving him writhing on the ground.

The forceful challenge sparked heat exchanges between both teams however Xavi who showed his courage by equalising before being escorted off the field by medical staff.

Zomara who was noticeably distraught after his challenge, commented on the moment of madness “It was horrible challenge which I regret, it was a rush of blood in the head”

With claims of Zamora being a ‘dirty player’, manager Glory Days has leapt to the defense of the former Fulham player “It’s a load of rubbish; Bobby is not that kind of player. He misjudges a tackle then everybody jumps on him”

Manager Glory Days however felt that Leeds were rather lucky to secure any points at all “I thought we were fortunate to get a point today. Although we did take the lead early on, we did well to fight back after being behind twice. Everybody has said that Leeds should show some backbone and I think we did that today”

Despite Leeds taking the lead in the third minute courtesy of a Bobby Zamora header, the sending off of the striker no doubt had an impact on the match. Xavi equalized shortly however Yossi Benayoun put the Whites back in front after finishing from a yard. Young Israeli Eli Zizov put the game back of level terms.

Just after the break, Sheffield United defender Andrew Little poked the ball past the goalmouth scramble to give the fifth lead change of the match. However, the most dramatic piece of the match was left till the final 5 minutes of the game. In form Moroccan striker Monir El Hamdaoui who was hot off scoring a hat-trick against Plymouth, scored a controversial offside goal to give Leeds the share of the spoils.

Twenty games in- Division 1 team of the season so far

2363_1282961406.jpg

Buffon (Middlesbrough)

3942_1276637159.jpg457_1277525617.jpg2337_1282208778.jpg12_1209755861.jpg

Maicon (Chelsea), Gallas (Arsenal) Samuel (Man. City) A.Cole (Chelsea)

3205_1281740291.jpg19_1284912224.jpg2474_1284481232.jpg2772_1284682979.jpg

Farfan (Liverpool) Fabregas (Arsenal) Kaka (Man City) Messi (Arsenal)

3027_1281986644.jpg2751_1284481236.jpg

Forlan (Man City) Torres (Liverpool)

Bench:

Julio Cesar (Arsenal)

Pepe (West Ham)

Sneijer (Arsenal)

Dzeko (Stoke)

Why?

Buffon (Middlesbrough) - Been brilliant for Boro and saved them in alot of games. Received 8 MOTM awards in his 20 games so far. Narrowly beat Julio Cesar who has been very good this season.

Maicon (Chelsea)- Great defensive work on the right hand side and a good willingness to go forward.

Gallas (Arsenal)- Been one of the defending champion's. Very little has gone past him this season.

Samuel (Man City)- Like Gallas at Arsenal, Samuel is an unsung hero for the club. Whilst both team's attacking play gets the headlines, they both have ensured that they have been solid in defense. When Samuel returned from injury the Man City defense was immediately drastically improved. Pepe has been influential for West Ham when able to take the pitch but his effect has been far less than Gallas and Samuel.

Cole (Chelsea)- Excellent in every one of the 18 games he has played and got a goal and an assist as rewards for a great season so far.

Farfan (Liverpool)- 7 goals and 14 assists in 15 games... do we really have to say more? Team mate Albert Riera is currently leading the goal scoring charts with 9 goals but his team influence has been less.

Fabregas (Arsenal)- Played in a more defensive role for Arsenal and blossomed in the role. Whilst other DM's may have been better Fabregas is not a known DM.

Kaka (Man City)- Played every game for Man City, scoring 3 goals, laying on 4 assists and collecting 5 MOTM awards in the process. Sneijer provided close competition for this spot.

Messi (Arsenal)- Whilst injuries have restricted him to just 11 games he has still scored 3 goals, 2 assists and 3 MOTM awards. The little Argentine has been magnificent for the champions when he has actually gotten onto the pitch.

Forlan (Man City)- Moved from Chelsea and had a big shoes to fill as he moved in an exchange with Ronaldinho. He has scored 8 goals and got 7 assists in 19 games and slotted in nonchalantly into the Man City team.

Torres (Liverpool)- Sits at the top of the goal scoring charts along with Riera. Dzeko, like Forlan has 8 goals for the season but Forlan has overall been more influential.

So how many of these players will make the 'Team of the Season'?

Report Out of the Rotherham United Locker Room

Players are saying they've already noticed a drastic change since Pat G'Les'P has walked in the door. Whether it's his charisma, his serious attitutde, or the reputation he brings with him, they're not quite sure. He had a closed door meeting with the players yesterday to announce what he is expecting from the remainder of the season.

Goalkeeper Dennis Boyko was quote saying, "He came in the locker room and players quieted down immediately. He looked around and told us there would be some drastic changes. He motioned to myself and said, 'some players have preformed well, and they have nothing to worry about.' He told us that he expected nothing less than what we were capable of doing. He paused, and then told us that was winning."

G'Les'P himself made a few comments to reporters after his closed door meeting with players. "The players in that locker room- a lot of them have heart. Boyko, Ibrahima, and Casanova all know that this team has what it takes to be real contenders. When I was hired, the owners made it very clear to me that they want to see Rotherham go to heights they haven't been before. The first large goal in that direction is getting promoted this year. The first step in that step is taking care of Chesterfield on Wednesday.

I came into the mix when the club has won 3 straight games and has gone 4 games unbeaten in the league. We're going to make a statement at Chesterfield, and then we plan to show Walsal and the rest of the league that we will contend not just for a playoff, but for an automatic promotion. This team has talent, and I'm making moves right now that will ensure the club's ability to rise out of league 4."

Pre-Match Interview with Pat G'Les'P

Reporter: Manager G'Les'P,when you first took over Rotherham, you said there would be quick, vast changes. Can you please tell us about some of them?

Manager G'Les'P: Yes, there have been some quick changes already. Numerous players have been put on the market. Everyone is available for the right price. We've made so deals, and we've turned down some deals. Furthermore, we've been able to become active in the transfer market. We brought in Augusto Marcel as a compliment to Ibrahima. We're also bringing in another player to make our midfield more formidable in the near future. Unfortunately, he won't be able to help us against Walsal.

Reporter: Manager, it has been speculated that one of the reasons you were brought in to replace the last manager was because the financial situation of team was in disarray. Can you put to rest the rumors and let us know what the truth is?

Manager G'Les'P: I was brought into the team for one reason, and one reason only, to win! However, when I first arrived, the finances of the team were despicable. The team was losing 200k per match! It was affecting the owner, and a deal that I tried to make for a little more fire power up front collapsed due to the lack of funds. Unfortunately, we will continue to lose money for some time, but as players are purchased from us and the team begins to improve, we expect to begin turning a profit.

Reporter: One last question. Walsal is currently 3rd in Division 4, and they're heavy favorites coming into this game. Will you consider a draw a success?

Manager G'Les'P: Walsal is coming into the valley tomorrow. They are going to face a team that is not only prepared for them, but determined to show the entire division that Rotherham is a proud team that wants nothing less than promotion this season. A draw will not suffice. We will beat Rotherham by 2 goals or more tomorrow! No more questions

*Manager G'Les'P gets up and walks away as reporters ask him about his final comments*

Re: English Championship 2933 Reporting thread

sheriff.jpg

It was a hardfought match as referee Sinisa Zrnic showed 5 yellows and a red and was

close to boiling over on a few occasions. Shorpe struggled for possesion against

a stronger Forest team whos saw the return of Granero, Stoch and Ruiz to the starting

line-up, but even with most of the ball Forest found it hard against GaryMacks

Shorpe, who when on the attack piled bodies forward and looked the side most

likely to score, but lone striker Abel Hernandez just couldn't make the breakthrough.

Forest winger Miroslav Stoch broke Shorpe hearts as he fired home the opener just

before the break, hitting a powerful right foot shot past United keeper Anders Lindegaard

who had no chance. Forest began the second half the way they finished the first as

Esteban Granero slotted home the second of the match after some great build-up play.

Shorpe kept up the pressure right till the end with Guido Marilungo going close on

the 87th minute, but it was too little too late for this young Shorpe team. GaryMack

can take alot of positives away from this match as his team has the makings to be a

great team, but for that to happen it will take time, something they don't have alot of.

Wednesday see's the arrival of a strong Peterborough side hurting from a 1-0 defeat at

the hands of mid-table rivals Swindon followed by a visit to promotion hopefuls Southend

United, these two games are make or break for Shorpe's season as the rest of the

relegation strugglers begin to claw back some points.

One things for sure when the 15th of December comes around Manager GaryMack will

be hoping his young side will still be playing Division 3 football next season.

Gloom! As Norwich Beat Rivals Ipswich:

A great game from Norwich Prospective as They needed this badly and they get it from a great performance, despite going 1-0 down early on, the cool heads didn't fall down,

Norwich kept the game alive with chances over chances. manager opting for a new formation find wingers playing freely and given Space,

which allowed the three up front to spread out and that provided creativity

and crisp passing as Norwich hit Ipswich hard to get the win

New signing Villagra who played solidly paid

tribute to the manager tactics and motivation for

Norwich success and believes Norwich can push for the automatic play-offs with good young players

We must get back out winning mentality: KopStar

After Manchester City's terrible form of late, KopStar has promised changes. Manchester City have lost their last 3 games (one being a friendly loss), and 6 of their last 8 games.

KopStar said, 'It is shocking and we have to get our form back quickly if we want to stay in the title race. We haven't been too bad, and really matched our opponents on stats but we have failed to score enough goals. When you aren't scoring you gotta stop the opposition from scoring and we haven't done that either. It's time to make some big changes.'

Manchester City's next game is away at Bolton and certainly a must win.

Re: English Championship 2933 Reporting thread

Nilmar: I recieved death threats

gol-nilmar.jpg

After ten games at Peterborough Nilmar has told why he snubbed Manchester City

In a shocking story, Peterborough striker Nilmar has spoken out about why he snubbed Manchester City and joined the division 3 side instead. KopStar was angry with the snub but instead signed Edison Cavani.

Nilmar said, '
To have a club like Manchester City after me was a huge honour. The runners-up in the Premier League and the team with easily the best manager in the world. I knew Peterborough also inquired about me but I wanted to test my self at the highest level and I had heard stories about their manager turning up to training drunk.
I was all set to fly to Manchester and sign the contract. I was home alone and I hear a knock in at the door. The person said, 'Hey **** let us in or we will **** you up.' They proceeded to knock down the door and two very well built men walk in, with their manager Dudeskin walking in after. I was told that if I did not join Peterborough, then I wouldn't survive my plane flight to Manchester. I was so scared I couldn't move, but I knew that I had to move their. I know I still have till December for my transfer ban to end but I want out as soon as it ends.

It will be interesting to see Dudeskin's response.

Dudeskin Speaks Out Over Allegations

90850703.jpg

The Peterborough boss gives his side of the story

"Firstly I'd just like to point out that it has been a very tough time here at Peterborough in recent weeks as the team has been very inconsistent as we go from thumping teams by 5 or more goals one week then falter badly in the next game when we should be looking to build. This bad form has obviously worried the new players that I recently signed at the club as they believed they were joining as club fit to challenge for the title, not one meandering in mid-table obscurity.

Nilmar in particular was a very shrewd piece of business by myself as getting someone of his quality to join a division 3 club is never easy, of course now it seems the player has had a change of thought about his decision. This has led him, probably from advice of his agents, to make outlandish claims that are absolutely un true I can assure you, if anything he wanted to come here in the first place as he saw what the future could hold and wanted to be part of that future

I don't want to point fingers but from my understanding this whole situation has been orchestrated by the Manchester City manager in a bit of what I would see as 'tapping up' which as far as I'm concerned is against the law. Being from Australia he clearly hasn't been taught right from wrong as anyone who didn't have convict blood would never try something so sinister and underhand to get what they want. I just hope the FA have a look into this matter and do the right thing and deport him back to Australia, at least there he can manage one of his own weird teams, Brisbane Roar or Perth Glory, very strange lot them"

KopStar demands sanction on Dudeskin for comments

C_71_article_1013940_image_list_image_list_item_0_image.jpg?19%2F08%2F2007%2014%3A22%3A59%3A915

A much 'happier' moment of the season

Manager KopStar has responded furiously to comments made by Peterborough manager, Dudeskin saying,
Dudeskin is a sad individual. He threatened a player's life just because he wanted to move somewhere else. I received a phone call from Nilmar just before he joined Peterborough, with the player close to tears. He told me about what had happened and agreed that it was best for his own safety to move to Peterborough. To no even talk about these matters privately with the Nilmar and instead just lay a verbal attack on me is just horrific. He has built a very good squad and I am very worried that other players have faced the same mismanagement that Nilmar faced.

I am appalled by his very abusive and almost racist comments about Australia. They are completely un-called for and I call on the FA to hand down a harsh punishment to him- there is no place in the game for racism or comments like that. If he had any dignity he would resign and donate his season pay check to an anti-racist organisation.

However I must agree with him in one respect- Brisbane Roar and Perth Glory are wierd teams. There's only one place in my heart for an A-League team and that is Sydney FC!
