From minnow to macho ; a thread for little boys becoming big boys

Recommended Posts

Re: From minnow to macho ; a thread for little boys becoming big boys

Mines nothing compared to the impresive Bristol City n Kettering teams but as its a difficult older GC it maybe worth me updating.

Numancia GC12

Sirigu 90

Benatia 90 Barzagli 90 Rolando 90

Del Moral 89 Salihovic 89 Suarez 88 cani 89

Totti 91

Kuranyi 90 Ba 89

hoping for a couple of + 1's from the above and the reserves (loads of 88+) are all risers too so slowly improving

Re: From minnow to macho ; a thread for little boys becoming big boys

Some great work going on in this thread.

I expect that I am not the only one who will admit that a PL Title with a once division 5 team is more special than 5 SMFA Cups with a Barca, Madrid etc.

That Bournemouth team looks pretty immense tbh chap. Have my first foray into Europe next season ,as I am 4 points clear at the top of the PL with 9 games to go in my debut PL season. Looking for that magical 5th consecutive title lol.

So bearing in mind we need 2 teams arguably to cope with the additional pressures of Europe this is how the Kettering GC113 team looks at present:

1ST

GK CASILLAS 95

DF ABATE 90

DF HOWEDES 90

DF KOSCIELNY 89

DM KHEDIRA 91

MC RAMIRES 91

MC BOATENG 90

MR NANI 93

ML RIBERY 95

ST BALOTELLI 90

ST ROONEY 95

2ND

GK CASILLAS 95

DF SAN JOSE 88

DF N'KOULOU 88

DF ANGEL 88

DM PAULINHO 88

MC YACOB 86

MC ALVAREZ 87

MR BLASZCZYKOWSKI 89

ML CESAR 88

ST CAPRARI 77

ST VAN WOLFSWINKEL 88

Re: From minnow to macho ; a thread for little boys becoming big boys

Here's my Rotherham in GC75. Not as good as some of the others on here but they've made it to Division One and won a Shield title this season. Lost to Arsenal in the Cup Final last night 2-1 though. :(

Hart 91

Danilo 88 - Benatia 90 - Morel 88

Paulinho 88

Piszczek 90 - Ledesma 90 - Janssen 89 - Lulic 88

Giroud 90 - Sow 90

Got a pretty big squad with these that I haven't done anything with for a while. Gonna try and make a few deals to improve the squad and launch a title attack next season.

Re: From minnow to macho ; a thread for little boys becoming big boys

EC 7046, THE toughest EC, has been so for around 2 years now aswell.

I feel my Northampton is doing well,

Zieler

L. Danilo - Nordtviet - Abdennour - Vrsaljko

Paulinho - L. Fernando

M. Rodrigo - Belhanda - A. Traore

Necid

Won the Div 4 Playoffs last season, not far of the the playoffs this season either, not much depth rating wise, but plenty of depth potential wise. Notable youths in W. NEM, CABELLA, LEITNER, XHAKA, NASTASIĆ, N. OLIVEIRA, PEREYRA, KAYA, ATSU, K. FREI, J. BERNAT, V. ANDRADE, R. PARDO, L. ALBERTO, M. DÓRIA, M. GINTER, S. LONGO, A HENRIQUEZ, Y. BENZIA, R. STERLING, T. ÓLIVER, F. SUSO and WARD-PROWSE.

Hopefully in 2 years or so we will be macho!

Re: From minnow to macho ; a thread for little boys becoming big boys

Some fantastic sides on here and definitely the definition of minnows to giants. My submission is Fluminense in GC 84. What makes it additionally special to me is that I will only sign South Americans for this squad and focus on Brazilians especially.

1st Team

GK - Cesar (92)

RB - Mariano (87)

CB - Gil (87)

CB - Xandao (87)

LB - Juninho (86)

HM - Henrique (88)

HM - Arouca (88)

AM - Lucas (90)

RW - Neves (88)

LW - Taison (88)

CF - Jonas (89)

2nd Team

GK - Cesar (92)

RB - Nei (87)

CB - Gum (87)

CB - Ewerton (87)

LB - Castan (86)

HM - Romulo (87)

HM - Fernando (87)

AM - Oscar (87)

RW - Bernard (87)

LW - Firmino (87)

CF - Lopez (88)

Additional Bench Players

Fagner (86); Casemiro (86); Elkeson (86); Jackson (86); Leandro (83); Lanzini (83); Luna (83); and a bunch of quality South American (mostly Brazilian) youth.

Rode 87

Hamouma 88 Amalfitano 89 Ekici 87(loan) Gignac 88

Petersen 87 Arnautovic 88

SECOND 11

Mirante 88

Wallace 80 Lukimya 84 Galves 85

It is alot easier in the newer GC's to build up a team

Re: From minnow to macho ; a thread for little boys becoming big boys

Not updated for a while, its been hard to do in an old Gold Championship but managed to finally get the last piece of the jigsaw to make the whole starting XI 90 + at last. :)

Numancia GC 12

Sirigu 90

Arbeloa 91 Barzagli 91 Godin 91

Nani 92 Carrick 92 Kehl 90 Inler 91 Dzsudzsak 90

Kuranyi 90 Torres 91

Other players 88+

Scholes 90

Ruiz 89

Salihovic 89

Pavyluchenko 89

Benat 89

del moral 89

Conca 89

nolito 88

verdu 88

didac 88

giaccherini 88

huszti 88

morel 88

cerci 88

bedimo 88

mamaev 88

bisevac 88

lopez 88

basa 88

camacho 99

anita 88

biondini 88

de guzman 88

ilicic 88

mulumba 88

mbokani 88

iborra 88

I have never understood the obsession with Youth players in this game and have used their overatedness to my advantage by trading them for higher rated players to build this team (and others). There has been hardly any youth players that I regret trading

This team is the only reason I still play Soccer Manager after losing interest many daft game 'improvements' / silly changes ago.
