Re: Bundesliga Risers, Talents & Droppers 2010

Thanks for the info on Simunek "Jan Simunek (VfL Wolfsburg) 87 -> 86". I checked up his stats recently and saw he had played hardly any games.

Is Badstuber a big talent? Future international?

Re: Bundesliga Risers, Talents & Droppers 2010

Great job, Phil. Anyway, i want to know more about Trasch. Any possibility that he can change to specific position or could he keep his Def/DM position. And,for LB spot at Bayern who do you think will be regular for long run? Badstuber play there mostly this season, but i think he's CB. Is it Alaba or Contento?

Badstuber is a massive talent. Normally I'm very cautious with future predictions, but he does have the talent to become a really big player. And the national team isn't too far away either.

Träsch has only played RB & DM from what I can tell, so a positional change might be possible.

And' date='for LB spot at Bayern who do you think will be regular for long run? Badstuber play there mostly this season, but i think he's CB. Is it Alaba or Contento?[/quote']

In the short run, Badstuber will stay on the LB position. But whenever one of the regular CB's is out, Badstuber will fill the CB position. I can't really tell who will take over the LB spot then, both Contento and Alaba have been good, but neither of them have really excelled enough yet to make any predictions on their longer-term future yet IMO.

Träsch will probably change to DM/RB as he has played mostly as a DM in the last matches and if he played as a defender he was RB.

I think Bayern will strenghten their squad in summer by buying a new LB or RB or even a new CB.

Badstuber can play both positions (LB and CB) well.

I want to know more about Sebastian Jung and Ochs from Eintracht.

I would like to know if Jung is very good and if Ochs can move to a bigger team this summer.

Great thread Phil.Repped.

Great thread Phil.Repped.

Jung is a good and talented young defender' date=' but not really 100% ready for the Bundesliga yet. He'll probably get a few more minor increases the next few changes, and I think he can get a starting spot at Frankfurt or a similar team in about 2 or 3 seasons.

About Ochs, even though I do rate him, I don't think he'll move. For one, he's very happy in Frankfurt and has a contract till 2013 I think, on the other hand, I wouldn't know too many bigger clubs where he would easily walk into the starting XI. Not saying that he couldn't move, just saying that it's unlikely IMO.

Sorry to be picky, but Sarpei is already 86 ;)

Nice list though. Hope this thread is as good as the 2009 one.

Then it should be 86 -> 85 :P edited ;)

It's only been 'rumoured' by the media that he could go to the World Cup' date=' I don't think he'll make it just yet. But after the WC he'll get his chances, and from what I know of him, he'll make use of the opportunity. Looking at Germany's youth defenders (Höwedes, Hummels, Badstuber, Boateng, Tasci, Beck who are still young), I think we could have bigger worries.

About his position, he's a natural CB, but also has the assets for a good LB. The position he'll probably is and will always be better at is the CB position, mainly due to physical attributes.

question, would this be a good deal Gorlitz for Trasch straight up? i'm Bayern :)

Yep.

Re: Bundesliga Risers, Talents & Droppers 2010

Phil, Andre Schurrle is going to keep his position, or will he get a positional change?

Good thread, you're maybe a little pessimistic in your predictions, but i guess it's better for the forumers to be surprised in a pleasant way when the changes occur ;)

Re: Bundesliga Risers, Talents & Droppers 2010

won't robben get a +1??

I doubt it. He's been injured for a while at the beginning' date=' and for someone as injury-prone as him I'd be a little cautious. If he remains injury-free and keeps up his form further, I'm quite confident he can get higher the changes after.

also, what can u tell me about owomoyela (87,30) will him for Lell be a good deal

Have you seen the predictions? Owomoyela has a chance to go up, while Lell will most certainly go down. I mean, even Contento & Alaba are preferred over Lell, that should say everything ;)

Repped by the way' date=' good thread[/quote']

Thanks.

Phil' date=' Andre Schurrle is going to keep his position, or will he get a positional change? [/quote']

Could change to Wing/Fwd, he's a natural Fwd and has played this position at the beginning of the season and for Germany's youth teams, and only plays on the wings for Mainz now. Don't even know why he got the AM, never seen him play there.

Good thread' date=' you're maybe a little pessimistic in your predictions, but i guess it's better for the forumers to be surprised in a pleasant way when the changes occur ;)[/quote']

Not pessimistic, rather realistic. I've closely monitored the past 2 German changes, and the researchers are extremely conservative regarding the Bundesliga, so I'll try to reflect that as good I can. The ratings aren't necessarily what I believe the players SHOULD be, rather what I think they WILL be. Else Lahm would be a 94/95 for example :P

When you predicted Schalkes changes you really were pessimistic. Matip will definitely rise to at least 82 (over 1000 minutes for second place in Bundesliga + NT appearances), while Schmitz has to rise to minimum 84 (over 1800 minutes, a regular for his side), don't you think?

Phil

Great thread as usual. I used your work last year and made some nice tidy profits. Thanks very much

I was wondering what your thoughts were on Per Mertesacker ? I have chance to buy him and he will become my top rated defender. But I had been looking at buying both Kjaer and Van Der Wiel and still having change !!!

Is Mertesacker a strong 93 or is there a potential for a drop ?

Re: Bundesliga Risers, Talents & Droppers 2010

Kuzmanovic, will he keep his 89?

I've done a lot of research and he's obviously a talented player but at the same time half his appearances have been from the bench.

I wouldn't sell him even if he dropped, he's a wonderful talent, but just curious.

Looking forward to Derdiyok's deserved rise. What a talent that lad is. Can't believe I sold Bunjaku, I didn't think he'd keep scoring

Exactly what i was thinking, not only that Matip has 4 goals to his name. Definatly should increase to 83+

& Schmitz 85/86 ?

Shalke are having an excellent season, sitting second in the league, and Schmitz has featured in 22/26 games, netting 2 goals. That is screaming 85/86

Good thread though.
