.RC 2,514
This thread is for my beloved Oldham. I took them around 4 days ago. I have since fallen in love with them. When this love happened I promised I would not MR on them due to me always losing intrest in the MR's. However I now have a burning hole inside me thats getting bigger the longer I lay it off. SO here is my thread.
.RC 2,514
Re: | Oldham Athletic | A Revolution | Oldham Appoint New Manager And Announce a Revolution! Today Division 4 minnows Oldham Athletic have announced that for the new season they will have a new manager after Gary Wood departed the club over a week ago. After drawing up a list of managerial targets the Oldham Board decided to take the rookie option and have appointed 19 year old Ryan Clarke. Clarke accepted the chance almost as soon as it was offered. With fans unsure about the appointment the chairman declared new era at Oldham. With this he stated that they will fear nobody. He hopes this will instill confidence into the fans. Ryan had his first press conferance today. This is what he had to say Not many managerial prospects get to go straight into Divison 4. So I was very very surprised when I was asked. However for 1st time managers this is a once in a life time oppurtunity. I had to take it. As for the club I will be looking to have nice young squad with lots of depth. This will see the sales of a few players which may upset the fans. However I ask for there trust in this. I will bring in new and fresh players who will add more to the club.

It seems at if Olham manager Ryan Clarke has made a friendship with United manager Alex Ferguson as all of the loaned players have come from the English Champions. Federico Macheda, Darron Gibson and Mame Biram Diouf have all joined the Divison 4 side on a year long loan. United Academy Chiefs hope this will give them more then a year more of academy football. All three of these players look set to jump straight into the starting line-up to face Brighton And Hove Albion in Olhams first league game of the season. Oldham fans outside the fround believe that these three players will add immensely to the squad.
